  • We start our hardwood blueberry propagation early because we have the greenhouse mimicking spring weather. Remember to not use fruiting buds but only vegetative buds or nodes.

I think the little guys did a GREAT job! OH! I did not know that about the buds. What kind of soil did you guys use, and was a rooting hormone used?

The cuttings were placed in fine fir bark. I like to use rooting hormone but have had almost similar success without. Most of these were done without rooting g hormone because I forgot to bring it.

Good work my friend. I followed your other video which inspired me to propgate some cuttings. Took some hardwood cuttings couple of week ago and are now in growlight with humidity dome. Also I have been manually sprinking them with spray bottle once a day. Not sure if they are going to be successful or not, but if I don't have the dome the tray dries too fast. Let me know if you have any other suggetions for me growing indoor in grow light.

If they are are hardwood cuttings you won’t. Need a grow light until they leaf out Just need to be warm enough to believe it is spring g and send out growth. Then they will need light. Setting pot in shallow water does help keep moisture in the medium.
