Very informative, Destry! I noticed you had an evergreen blueberry with the crew in the front yard. I also have an evergreen bush, and even though the berries don't get real big, they are some of the tastiest of all my bushes, and the texture of the fruit is amazing. Now all I need is a few warm, sunny days and I will give my bushes a haircut and some fertilizer! Thanks again! :)

Blueberries are something I've never tried. Maybe this year if the garden budget will allow. Every year I always cut some forsythia branches to bring inside. Just brought some in yesterday. I'm in zone 5b so think we are a little more slower than your zone. Just now getting tulips and crocus popping up. Which is a little early for us. Weather has been so strange here this year.

I'm in central NC newly zoned 8a. Your yard and mine look very similar. I cut back all my knockout roses 2 days ago (ouch!! Those thorns!) and I'll be working on my blueberries today.
Are you originally from the midwest? I occasionally hear a tiny hint of midwest accent. Very tiny.
