"I think that's what Ren does to you, right, turns you into something, we're more human when we listen to him" That's really beautiful, and so very true., something about him is definitely reaching into so many of us and connecting us to feelings and emotions that are generally quiet. Thank you for reacting to more of his stuff, you 2 are so lovely.

Yes! "WtF" was an absolute appropriate reaction, no need for apologizing. Please do react to more, when I discovered Ren about two months ago, I went through all his songs in two days.
Also the band he played in "The Big Push" is worth your attention, if not as a reaction, do yourself a favor and listen to their songs in your own time. Great band, talented musicians, all four of them.
And not to forget Ren's work together with Sam Tompkins or with Chinchilla! You can't go wrong no matter what you choose.
Edit: Sorry, just noticed you already did the two Chinchilla songs, slipped my mind.

Your reaction to this trilogy is definitely my favourite of all I have seen. I could see you got really drawn into the songs and really paid attention, so you got the twist at the end, where a lot of people (who's first language is English ) really don't get it.
It's strange how this trilogy seems quite short while watching/listening to it, but at the same time it feels like you've just watched a 2 hour film.
Love your reactions. Keep them coming.

Dominika - your immediate reaction was honest - no need to apologise for an honest reaction ❤. Pretty sure Ren would not mind. Few pick up the connection straight away like you did, based on other reactions I've watched. The more others have provided insights into these songs you realise there are even more layers just outside of view.
Each time I watch this trilogy my heart breaks. You are right - he does not avoid darkness. I keep watching because too often people turn away & try to pretend everything is perfect.
You will not be disappointed by listening to more by Ren. It's like everything he sets out to master, he does that & then pushes to another level few can meet. Personally I've started to watch more by Chinchilla - she is amazing and masterful as well.
Thank you once again for your beautiful, insightful & honest reactions ❤❤❤

His storytelling is so good. He lets all three tales run like it’s real time, he embodies the characters, he steps in and out of roles, the guitar becomes a door, a gun, the sound of fists. It feels like anything can happen. But then he pulls the stories together so neatly. It’s deeply structured but you don’t feel the structure until the end.
I love at the start of Violet’s tale where you see him as narrator shake off the horror of inhabiting what has happened to Violet in order to tell it

Your comment about 'feeling like a mother' to Ren, I get that, in that you wish him all the best in his career and his health, and are in awe and admiration of his talent in singing, rapping, storytelling, guitar and acting. He is one of a kind,. BTW, he does do more upbeat songs as well - check out "Losing it" or "what you want" for something less heavy, before diving back on the emotional rollercoaster.

I identify so much with your reactions. I’m just a little older than you and I definitely have that ‘proud mom’ kind of feeling too. I only discovered him recently through Hi Ren but I dived down the rabbit hole. He is so talented. I wish him the best and great success. But the mom in me hopes he stays independent. I don’t like what these recording labels are turning their artists into.
My favorite parts, artistically: ** you can tell I’ve watched it probably one time too many, lol.
The stairwell faster guitar piece as he walked down the stairs to prepare your soul that the story would accelerate.
How he inserts slow places so the high intensity packs more punch - like how he slowly had Screech disappear into the black night and then the chaotic Patrick scene (so well acted out with the camera encircling him!!!).
The phone scene seems to me to have been a staging setup so that he could have his back to the camera to walk away at the proper distance. Thus I loved it as justice (the cameraman) was approaching him from behind and then positioned in front of him at the the right time for the face off.
Screech speech chaos led to an awesomely filmed scene of the officer approaching. I loved the bend over stand up bend over again part of that then using the guitar to shoot the cameraman and the camera (Sceech) fell over.
Violet’s tale: that guitar work and the chords he hits does a great way to activate you. I think his ooohs that he does here and in Hi Ren are clever ways briefly confuse your mind - like ‘what?’. That causes you to lean in to see what comes next. He sprinkles that throughout his stuff where he prevents you from being distracted and your mind wander.
After he rewinds time so cleverly, he does that dramatic thing after he gets out of the bed, gives his body a shake as if to say he has to brace himself and doesn’t want to tell it but will force himself.
When he describes Violets abuse by her father he allows a very short dramatic pause.
The acoustics chosen in every location were so clever. At the grand staircase he guides you by looking up. Not only did that acoustically affect his voice, it offered the camera an opportunity to descend back down exactly as he says the devil comes to dance.
Oh my, the abuse. When he starts walking he now adds the T sounds to London CiTy far from PreTTy. (He previous had softened it by omitting the T’s).
By saying ‘or a miracle’ clearly is confusing and causes people to lean in to hear what where he’s going with that, so they don’t just stop listening, thinking they’ve heard the end.
Reflecting, I think he is making a statement about generational abuse / failures wishing the foster system / and mistakes that allow that.
Violet froze and stayed silent and Jenny defaulted to freezing and staying silent. Mother daughter. (Moral: don’t be silent and allow it)
Stevie had anger issues and so did his son. Father son.
Jenny was probably also abused in some way and became a prostitute. Only 14 years old also, street walker, rosy on her cheeks, needing sleep, looking for an escape. So sad. (This was inspired by a story in the area, and the girl was a prostitute. I think it must have occurred in 2019 because Violet gave birth in 2005).

He prefaces each of the stories with music as if a wandering minstrel, a troubadour. And the stories themselves are surely from a modern-day Geoffrey Chaucer. He seats us in a digital Globe Theatre and sets our minds free and reeling. Another Ren beats and rhymes, and yet another incarnation performs a theatrical stream of consciousness that illuminates his own history of mental struggle and reminds us that we are all bound by the human condition.
And in the age of Ren, we are gifted by Dominika and Andrei with their insight, empathy and humour - all in a language that is not their first. RUclips reactors f and blind at the drop of a hat, but Dominika apologises for expressing her wonderment in basic terms. Little wonder that we have such regard for you both, and, of course, for your recognition of the extraordinary talent of Ren Gill. A thousand thanks ❤

You two are hilarious. It literally sounded like you were asking each other if your “son” was normal. Something I think all parents have asked at one time or another. Fantastic!😆😂🤣❤️‍🔥😉

It's brilliant musical theatre.😀 A truly artistic way to treat the nihilistic cycle of violence that afflicts so many of our societies.

It's an incredible talent - he tells the story so simply . I don't mean what he does is simple, it's that there is not one word wasted. Three words from Ren is an entire verse for anyone else.
P.S. '...the fuck?!' is absolutely the right response for the reveal.

"WTF" is definitely the appropriate reaction, and the same reaction we all had lol. Love all your guys' reactions!

You both express everything so eloquently. I cant help but nod along with you. Particularly loved the line after listening to Jenny's Tale: "it's like reading a whole book" ❤

I love you 2 you’re my favourite reactors. So real. So genuine. I just love to watch you both. But you need to react to more Ren. I think you’d like Dear God by Ren. That’s a very unique song and so good whether you believe or not 💜

I just wanted to say that I love you both so much, the way you care and love so much. It's so refreshing to see such genuine people in today's world. Because that is harder to come by. But I lost it when Dominika (hope I spelled that correctly) when she said "WTF". That was soo fitting for the twist in the song and so out of her normal character that it just was a masterpiece. Love y'all

You two seem so sweet!! It's fun watching you react! Ren has a song/video from Freckled Angels called "It's alright" and it is SOOOOOOOO dang uplifting and beautiful. Both the song and the message. You should check it out. I have been listening to him for months and just ran across it, and it is worth all reviewers time to help spread the message presented there. (not the Big Push song with the same name, his original from 6 years ago)
