      No worries! FYI... he's dropping a new video Thursday... perhaps trying your first live premiere is possible!?
      He's dropped some short takes of some of the song... it's Far Different from this or HI Ren! Ren has More layers than an onion, more Bars than a Prison!!! He cannot be placed in any one Genre!!!
      Also... Highly Recommend doing several Ren videos this week! He promised a new video every week for a month if he gets to 1 million subscribers by the end of the month... see his community posts on here!
      Anyway... the more reactors doing so this week Will get him there!
      Also... keep an eye on the comments... he replies often to reactors!!!

      No problem. Things like that are bound to happen. Thanks for letting us know. I thought you may have done that on purpose for copyright reasons or something. As far as pausing, everyone is going to have their own preference. You're not going to hit the sweet spot for most now matter how you do it. For that reason I'd say just pause when you have something to say and not worry about it.

    Hey friends, for anyone who’s saying my reaction is fake/manufactured/I was aware of the story beforehand: I should have explained this earlier, but I’m a singer and musician, and what you’re seeing from the very beginning of this reaction is me reacting to his VOICE. I am very easily moved by a beautiful voice. I’m sorry if I seem too dramatic or over the top from the beginning, but that’s just how I experience music. If this were a fake reaction, I probably would have planned something to say instead of just awkwardly trying to form sentences. I was in shock from the entire performance, not just the reveals.

    Wonderful heart felt reaction to a masterpiece. Ren does indeed love Sting and the Police. With Rens band, The Big Push - English Man In New York live. Beautiful vocals. Ultra chill vibe. Set on a couch on a terrace one take. Also, The Big Push - Bongo Bong (Manu Chao cover) is sensational. Roof terrace bottle of wine and chill. Just a Ukulele, Acoustic and bass plus 3 voices in harmony. Beautiful. You will love them both...

    Everything Ren does is either fun, sad, outrageous, crazy, deep with meaning, or educational. Ren is an enigma, although not a true enigma according to a "dictionary", since he tells us more about himself and his life than a true enigmatic person would, he isn't mysterious he doesn't hide anything. But he surprises most of us with his diversity.
    His singing, musical talent with many instruments, acting, narrating and performing is just so captivating, it must be an innate talent! I have been to many concerts and live plays and can see that what he does and is capable of doing is amazing with his health issues, the wisdom of the ages, and only 33! I wish he was one of my grandsons. ☺ LOL Ren is brilliant! Never underestimate Ren.
    He is like a box of chocolate, maybe just not as tasty, due to some of his thoughts floating around in his head. He surprises most of us with the skills he has that can draw you in. And he does DRAW you in, makes you LOOK makes you THINK makes you want to KNOW more. Is Ren a chameleon? A good definition (I googled of course) "The chameleon effect is not a strategic facsimile of a person's gestures and facial expressions. It's more natural. It's a tendency we all may adopt to imitate someone else's voice and physical gestures so as to create a bond of intimacy and friendship. This can be done either consciously or subconsciously". Yes I personally think Ren is a natural chameleon, and he uses that "innate talent" and is very creative with it.

    • @AlSnoopsReid
      @AlSnoopsReid Год назад

      I truly believe that Rens' parents have a fair bit to do with his abilities. His mother is/was a vocal/singing coach and his father, although he separated from his wife during Rens teenage years(don't quote me on that though), played/plays with a trio who play 12th and 13th century medieval court music, which to my mind is very evident in much of his note and chord choice throughout his catalogue.

    • @adam.4487
      @adam.4487 Год назад +1

      @@AlSnoopsReid I agree, his parents must have, in some ways, provided and encouraged his talent and career choice. His background, upbringing, in some part his illness, for sure all influenced his talent and abilities. Thank you for comment. ☺

      @AlSnoopsReid Год назад

      @@adam.4487 And thank you for yours my friend. I feel that what Ren is looking for is validation, in part due to the break up of his parents. I don't believe for one second that ego has any part whatsoever to play in his life choices, he is an artist, front left and centre, but one of a very few these days, who manages to put important messages out there, without shouting from the rooftops, claiming to be some kind of moral, woke ideologist idiot. As a 70 yr old male, I genuinely feel that today's youth would do well to listen to his messages and learn from them. I'll stop now or I'll have to break this down into chapters. Have a great day.

    Yes, how Ren uses natural acoustics is fabulous. As he moves from space to space he times himself to use the acoustics and lyrical content to the benefit of the song and video both. He times his arrival to the spiral staircase to sing specific lyrics up it. Absolutely brilliant. The artist's fine touches are what separate the talented from the truly gifted.

The twist at the end was amazing, I could see on your face you knew as soon as he said “two twins” what was happening. Please carry on reacting to Ren, his collaborations and The Big Push as much as you can. I have subbed and can’t wait for your next reaction. Well done 😊

    Can’t wait til you hear Ren really sing. His duet with Chinchilla doing Chalk Outlines is a good example of recent. This recent stuff of his has been part of a Rap hip hop album rollout but there is singing stuff too. There’s another excellent duet he has done with Chinchilla. There is a busking video of him and her doing a Drake/Beyoncé mashup up. I think the songs were One Dance Drunk in Love. Also some good duets with Sam Tompkins. Check out Blind Eyed M.C. Sessions or the 2 of them busking like the one Earned It/Man’s World/Falling. Ren & Sam Tompkins: Walking on the Moon / No Diggity (Live Performancej is good too.
    Even better is when you go look at his music with his band, The Big Push. That is where his real musical abilities shine. They did busking covers but also had some original content.
    Of The Big Push music, maybe start with some of the busking sessions like I Shot The Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop. It’s a good first one. Then there is War Pigs, or their original Watch Out (live busking). There’s lots. They also did a cover of Englishman in New York, and a Bongo Bongo cover.
    I love their video of a mash up video called What Kind of Woman is This live. Super charged! Then they had a bunch of original content.
    I believe his next album is going to be back to his singing roots or at least a mix up. He plays piano, guitar and drums and produces his own beats. Music flows through his veins.

    This series of performances will surely go down as one of his best. I never considered watching reation videos until I watched Ren's material, so much of his music is new, challenging, emotive, intense and leaves me wondering what other people have experienced.
    The tales trillogy left me shocked and in awe, also with so many questions, like where did he get such an idea (apparently it was partially in a response to a news article reporting a mugging/murder of a young woman in London in 2019)
    The way he described Jenny who took on the traits of her birth mother (who was also quiet and froze in response to extreme stress), she was walking home after finishing work (wanted to escape a hard life), in high heels, early hours ..... we later find out she was 14 yrs old .... was she a sex worker? (Lost 14yrs old working girl - a parralell can be drawn to Violet's, her mothers traumatic and exploited life).
    James/Screech, violent, emotionally unstable abusive .... seemed to take on his birth fathers traits .... I wondered why Patric wasnt home, and then Screech's girlfriend was busy ..... did this suspicious coincidence have an effect on his mood, and ultimately influence his extreme behaviour ... watch Ren's short background drama in his playlist - Screech's tale instagram story (must watch).
    Violet - sexually abused by her father as a child growing up in a disfuntional home (she was a quiet girl who also froze when faced with intense stress), left when she was 16, fell into similar relationship pattern, which ended up making her pregnant and ultimately dieing a violent domestic abuse victim, but miraculously giving birth to twins Jenny and Screech .... only for her tragic curse to follow them.
    The kids father Stevie abusive little vilent prick, emotionaly unballanced .... ended up killing Violet and probably was sent to prison and the twins without existing family would have been placed in care.
    This is a challenging his audience to feel and I think forces people look point blank at the social tragidy, the some of the results when people get caught in social breakdown and how welfare system can fail ..... exposing the vicious circle and tragic influence of domestic violence
    Rens talent in story telling, poetry is amazing and he truely produced a master piece of pure confronting art.
    I believe Sting has been an influence with Ren .... it seems even more evident when you realise Stings latter focus on baroque music and traditional instruments
    Metalhead shreading was an interesting comment because even though there were baroque feel to his guitar playing I also was reminded on ACDC rifts
    I look forward to more of your reactions

    There's no right or wrong way to react to a video, so many different opinions, you can't please them all.
    Pausing too much can certainly kill the vibe, but also an insightful comment can add to the experience, sometimes a look at the camera can say a thousand words
    As you are a musician, it'd be nice to hear things from that perspective, looking forward to what's next.

    honestly , Not to diminish the work in any way .. but as Ren himself said what got him thru his 10 years of illness was his music ... i am certain that thought he may not have been performing or even (i dont know for sure ) writing music , I am sure that his every available moment he could he was thinking about these songs that he is giving us .. when one person devotes 10 years of their life to something .. it tends to be of outstanding quality

    As I've read it both Jenny and Screech were real people. Ren read the newspaper one day in 2019 and buried on the 6th or 7th page was a short "write-up" [I guess you'd call it] on the tragic death of two teenagers; a girl, Jenny [a young prostitute], and her killer [proper name James somebody] known in the Neiborhood as Screech. [Both 14 or at least Screech was] [the article ended calling it such a shame] He thought that kind of news [of the decay in society that resolves in such ways] deserved more attention. So, he wrote the first two of the trilogy shortly after reading of them. These few years later he took on the task of writing a fictional story to further drive home the point that this continuing cycle of violence and decay in society should be paid attention to. So, the entire Violet story he designed to fit the personalities of those two and how they are made. Very impressive writing [and storytelling] and motivation resulted in Violet's Tale. Easily imagined they were brought up in separate foster homes. Jenny took on the quiet nature [still nature] of her mom [freezing in her tracks, unable to move when commanded to give up her goods] while Screech took on the character of his father. 14 years after two zero zero five they met each other probably for the first time and a newspaper article on the 6th or 7th page is what became of it. [as Ren has imagined it for us] His story telling has purpose. Real purpose. That is what has him stand alone [it seems] in today's society. [unique as an artist]

    SO much to take in with this brilliant Shakespearean tragedy. I get frustrated with some reactions when it's missed how he describes Jenny....why would a 14 year old be walking the same street a 1000 times, in high heel shoes? Almost no one seems to catch that. Also, for "Screech's Tale", it seems that almost no one catches that Screech's girlfriend and his friend Patrick, happen to be "busy", or not available, at the same time. Consider why. Maybe they were together? Patrick wasn't home...was he with Screech's girl at her place and that's why she was "busy"? It adds a whole other layer to the story. Also consider that Jenny and Screech were born side by side, and essentially died side by side, one street apart. Born on the same day (2005), died on the same day (2019). An entire family, mother and twins that never knew each other, wiped out by a cycle of violence. An abused mother, a 14 year old prostitute, and a 14 year old thug/murderer. Powerful stuff. In "Violet's Tale", the way he uses the acoustics of his environment to accentuate the song is absolute brilliance....and btw, Ren is self taught on the guitar. Just one of many instruments he plays including drums, bass, & piano.The man is truly special. A prodigy.
    From what I understand, he wrote the first 2 songs after reading an article about a very young man murdering a young woman in London, he didn't write "Violet's Tale" until a few years later and that one was of his own making. He said that there are 2 songs so far that he wrote, that he knew in his gut were special. "Hi Ren" (of course) and "Violet's Tale". (He was right on both counts imo.) He also said he feels like he has a 3rd one ("Money Game" 3) that fits that same feeling coming out with his new album. He has yet to release it or shoot the video. It's coming soon.

    Great Reaction! Very much feeling and veryy less talking during the song. Go on like this! You're very empathic too. New subscriber here😊 Since you're asking for the best way to do a reaction video, i like it when people just listen to the complete song and if they're very empathic, like you are, i like to see the change of mimics at moving moments. After that, one can share their feelings or analyze the video. Some are talking all the time throughout the song. How are you supposed to feel or really listen, if your talking all the time? And it would be cool, to see the whole screen of the video. Otherwise, great job! Do a reaction to Chalk Outlines please!😊

    FYI, the first two tales are based on stories Ren had read in the paper, and he spun the stories off of. A 14yo boy killed a prostitute, and a police officer shaken after killing a young boy. Violet's tale came years later, as a way to tie the two together and make a statement on domestic abuse and the foster care system.
    I would suggest something much lighter, in The Big Push, "An English Man in New York". So good.

    Back in the'70's I remember seeing footage of a Cameraman filming a soldier shooting at the enemy in the distance.
    Then the soldier turned around and shot the Cameraman who was so engrossed in filming he didn't realise he was about to be shot. All you saw was the camera falling down like in Screech's Tale. I'm wondering if this is where Ren got the idea from.
