Greetings . I’m looking to take my journeyman exam in California that’s still under the 2017 code . I plan on buying the fast trax plus dedicating 90 days ,8hrs every two weeks ,4hours each session (sweet spot).I’m scared to buy the fast trax because what if California all of a sudden switches nec on the 4th month and I’m stuck with the 2017 version . Will I be ok continuing to study the 2017 version if California happens to switch to 2023 ? It’s basically my savings I’m using to invest in myself . Not getting answers from test places Should I wait till it nec changes ?
Well, sadly I can't really answer that since there are so many significant changes from 2017 to 2023. I believe they would go to 2020 rather than jump right to 2023. With that said, I would keep trying to nail them down before committing. Sadly we just dont offer the ability to offer students to move from one edition to another in our system. We are working on a 12 Month Program that let's you get (2) editions, the 2020 and 2023 but its costly, the price I believe is $695.00 and gives you access to BOTH Fast Trax Black editions.
Want to take the 12 months course but I just can't get that money at this time but, I can't wait to start.

We don't break up courses like that. We simply teach the NEC so you can choose to SKIP what you desire but our Fast Trax Programs start with the basics and move students through calculations. We do include a database of exam prep questions as well to test your skills.
