Checking Trichomes - The Friendly Grower

I have seen a few people wondering how we know when to harvest and others harvesting really early/late because they have no idea about trichomes and ripeness.
In this video I show what I use to get up close with my trichomes to see how far along they are. Usually my goal is about 5% of my trichomes at most to be going amber. By doing this it lets all the ones that were ripening slower to get cloudy rather then still be clear.

I use a 16X loupe and when things get critical I set up a dlsr to do macrophotography which I blow up on a 50" TV serving as my monitor. It doesn't take long and man, those trichomes loom large. Great hobby for an old gent.

Best investment on my opinion, takes your harvest to a whole new level!!!!
I have a few things to look at the trichomes with. It's important information if want want to harvest at our prefer best time.

Well that was 3min 38sec wasted show the god dam Tritchomes mate.......
Showing the trichome and explaining how to do it are different things. I wanted to show the trichomes while recording but wasn't able to get anything worth showing.
Why or how would showing them change the point of the video?
At 1:49 I even say it's not about what they are..
