This is an excellent wireless microscope that would be a great present for anyone interested in science. Or anyone with poor eyesight. This was $40 on Amazon.
I use it as a tool for working with electronics and teaching kids about the microscopic world. The front facing LED light makes is great for identifying medicine or magnifying anything that's to small to see clearly.
The microscope can be wirelessly connected to a phone or computer and you can record video or take pictures. And it provides it's own wi-fi signal.
And don't lose the lens cap. Хобби
Just got mine. Awesome. Game changer for viewing Trichomes.
Hey Mike - excellent video!!! I just bought this wireless microscope and really appreciate the detail you went into describing how well it works. Honestly, I was skeptical if this was a good product. I just unboxed it and am charging it. Your video gives me a great head start to use the product. I will look at your other videos too.
Hey John, Thanks for watching. I'm glad this could help you. My kids and I use the microscope all the time. We donated 10 of them to my son's middle school and they're very popular in the science classes. Cool little device. Especially if you're into numismatics.
How long does the battery last with full light? Thanks for the video
Great job on the video! Very very informative, great camera and editing skills as well, you could go to Hollywood....?!?!!!!! Lol jk, you might really could though... Anyway I bought my microscope used and had no manuals or instructions, the app the guy had shown me to download was only for Android, so then ANOTHER try for apps,😂... All I had to go off of was a name, " takmly ", then found your video!!! Thanks so much for taking Time off from your life, you've done a great thing for many others like me for years to come!!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Thank you. I appreciate you watching
I think this will allow me to solder very tiny components. I’m low vision, a regular magnifier isn’t powerful enough. Thanks.
That's exactly what I use it for. Good luck. Thanks for watching.
I got this for christmas.
I'm excited to look at some creek water. I've never seen a water bear in real life.
Really enjoyed the review although I would have put the brand name on the title, I've been looking for a review on this for my plants and I found a good one, thanks!
Good idea about using the brand name. Thanks. This microscope has been very useful for me. I hope it serves you well.
I just got one and it doesn’t have a brand name on it
This is awesome want one now lol
just a heads up. Turn the camera then mount is back in the holder and the image will be correct side up.
Yes, I know. I tested it out pretty good before I did the review. My manual says to put the power button and LED roller up. The majority of my manual is in Chinese so, as with most Chinese products, I assumed the manufacturer made a mistake in the documentation. It is an excellent hobby microscope and I am very pleased with it. I gave 6 of these as Christmas presents. Thanks for watching.
Mike I like your response. Very professional. Thank you it didn't go unnoticed. Great tool
I have what looks like the same device but after I take the picture I can’t find where it’s stored in my iPhone. Should be in files or photos?
On the iphone 12 Pro Max it goes into the Photos / Camera Roll. On the Android phone the picture goes into Pictures.
I used fingernails to focus on each side, and I got a real good fine tune.
Cool. It's been a great microscope for me. I hope its very useful for you.
Can anyone please explain what the + and - buttons are for on the underside of the microscope?
Those are the zoom controls
@@MikeM100 thank you. The top ridged control is just focus, I get it now.
Could you tell me what the app is called? Thanks for the video.
It's Inskam.
indeed it is a great tool, was wondering if i can use this to take a photo of a snowflake.
That's a really good idea. Unfortunately we do not have snow where I live. But now I'm wondering if it's possible to make a snowflake.
You mean like AOC?
I can not get the app to connect to WiFi. Suggestions please
The microscope generates its own wifi signal and the phone connects to the wifi. After the phone connects to the wifi signal the app will show the camera. I've tested with both iphone and several Android phones and have not had any problem with it. Make sure your phone has not connected to another wifi signal.
The reviews say this steals your data off your phone and one review on the app says they stole their bank account info
Your phone is probably Chinese made so your data is already compromised
I have this but need the cell app for android. Have a link?
Look in the Play store for the Inskam app. The icon is green with a white "i" in the center.
Thank you!! 🙏🙏
I can’t get mine to work . Any suggestions
If it doesn't turn on the maybe let it charge overnight. If that won't work then request a replacement. I gave away 2 of those as presents and they worked ok. You may have gotten a bad one
Gadget is a better name.
What do you do when it does not charge anymore
If you have not had it very long, then send it back to the company. Otherwise you may have to replace the battery. I've never done that, but I will look into it.
@@MikeM100 you can't get to it its internally sealed
Zoom buttons should be on top.
Does it work for you? My zoom buttons don't do anything
How can I see the microscopic world with this microscope?? I don't know how 😫
The microscope provides it's own wifi signal. You need to connect it to your laptop or phone and then download the inskam app. If the wifi connection is working then the inskam app will automatically show the image from the microscope.
@@MikeM100 thank u so much :)
You're welcome. I hope it works good for you.
Can it see bacteria?
No. It's not that good
I tryed to connect to pc and it will not connect maby I have incorrect link idk
My unit will connect to the PC by wifi and cable. The microscope generates its own wifi signal so you will have to look for it in your PC network settings. If you use a cable, it will show up in Windows as a camera. You can download a driver for it from their website
I meet to do another video on this device.
do i need to charge the microscopic for few hrs before using???
Yes. Mine was fully charged when I got it, but other people have reported that their needed to be charged.
Let's look at some trichomes!!!!
Works great on my Mary J can see if my triclons are nice and Amber ready for harvest and it works great to spot out bugs or worms on your plants but I never have any my stuff is premo 😂 green
I think you’re supposed to take off the plastic top
I had it on and off several times while i was making the video. The image is so good with it on that I did forget to take it off a couple of times. You have a good eye. No one else has noticed that.
I don't care what i do everything is up side down! I can turn the coin upside down or the microscope or both and it make no difference! Any help before I send it back?
Did you take the lens cap off? That will reverse the image. The lens cap is so clear that it's easy to think that it is part of the unit and supposed to be there. Mine shows a good image without the lens cap, but with the lens cap the image is upside down.
@@MikeM100 Hi, yes I took it off. I think I'm going to send it back....thanks
I tested mine some more and the image is correct in mine. It sounds like you got a defective unit.
“Not bashing China, that’s just a fact” = emotional damage 🤣
I think this is silly.. can't you just use your phone camera to zoom in and out
This microscope zooms in way more them any phone camera. And it's much lighter and less bulky then a phone. It's very useful for what I do.
Why does everything look blue?
Excellent question. I had to go back and re-watch the video to see just how blue the image was. I believe the two reasons are that my shop lights at the time were about 7000 Kelvin, and the phone screen did not give a good image. I looked at the microscope again after I read your comment, and it looks a lot less bluenormal under my new lights, which are daylight at 4000K, and with my new phone. The colors in the image are not going to be actual real colors, but they should be a lot better than in my video. Thanks for pointing that out. Thanks for watching.
OT but I feel you sound a bit like Bill Clinton
I get that a lot. :)
It shows not 1000x isnt'it? It's a lot less, I think.
It's almost certainly not 1000x, but it's great for the price. My students use it a lot and are always surprised by what they see.
@@MikeM100 It will likely do 1000x in theory if you shorten the focal distance to near zero, but in practice it would be impossible to keep the thing still enough to see anything meaningful even if there was enough light. I spent many hours every day for years using microscopes in the sixties and have a pretty good idea what problems occur at high magnifications. That's why they use cover slips, stains, microtomes and oil to get a good image at 1000x with ordinary microscopes. But in theory, it will do 1000x so that's a selling point.
I compared it to a real 1000x lens from a microscope in the lab at work and it is certainly not 1000. But it is sufficiently good for the target audience.
@@MikeM100 Wondering how well it will resolve blood cells? As an example...
Illuminati at 06:32
Maybe
for real bro it was so close but not 1000x
Closest I've ever been to illuminati lol
It's pronounced nai-kaan. Not nee-can.
It's pronounced boom shaka-laka
Dude, it's not a toy, it's a tool
Very true.
