I hope you found the focus dial which is located on the front of the microscope. Moving the scope up and down is not the only way to focus.
I purchased one as a view aid for soldering on circuit boards: Was hoping you would show changing the zoom setting, I'll check other posters or get the magnifying glass and read the included docs and check the CD for additional help.
I did they same test with the same manual on the exact same words.....with full power...you can only see ONE letter....which completely filled the screen.....I don't think you had it all the way down to the page....and then turned all the way....then just a little back to fine tune the focus.

Anyone know how to disassemble one of these? I just got one free with a flaky USB port & want t o open it up to fix it. There are no visible screws holding together & can't seem to pry it apart either.
Can you invert the image on the screen? Just curious if you can carry it and not use the stand?

I found coin errors on mine all the time. I loved it. It looked exactly like that one but it brand name was Dcom. I accidently knocked it over and the piece that the charger plugs into git shoved inside of it. Im looking now on how to fix it now.

@@mirmirs lol 😂 it just seems to be perception no big deal and lots of nationalities are actually British but British aren’t English it was originally given when the Romans conquered England 🏴 then everyone in the area became British under their command and rule which is another misconception. Scottish and Irish Germans among others all migrated to England which became Britain after the English ran for their lives basically, I think because people used to want to be English they pretended to be English or perhaps Trojan is a good explanation as to better understand why a Queen would say she is someone she isn’t!.. I think many believed them forever well of course the English in the states knew better and wasn’t going to allow them to rule over us outlawing our bibles and killing us went way to far. But yes I suppose he could actually be British if he will submit to the Queen who in turn submits to the pope. I guess that’s how you become British in reality. Many Scottish and Irish will not submit and won’t say they are British yes even in the uk 🇬🇧 But he does have to accept the pope and her. But I am thinking still by accent alone we cannot know. I knew there was a misconception when you said what you said but not sure what all you knew most don’t know at all but he might not like you saying he is British there is a controversy.

In 1970 I had to spend hours looking thru binoculars microscope.....now everyone can view it on the screen at the same time.....very good for looking for double dated coins errors....one error coin would more than pay for it....

Hair line diameter is 0.07mm x 1000= 70mm 7cm. Is the hair line 7 cm wide on your screen?
It is still impressive but mostly these similar products all claim to have 1000x I guess they include digital zoom?
They claim to be a 1000x zoom, but it’ll be more like 100x.

Im ordering one from Hong Kong Now. i dont need 1000X actually 2X optic + 300X lens is adequate but with prices between $30USD-$170USD, I’ll shop both low end and better ones for comparisons of name brand design compatibility/reliability vs .generics. Many China/HongKong SAR sellers have generic items exact same as soon to be branded with a name once wholesale contracts are signed, and I fortunately know my way around the shops. I mostly use for examination of collectables, stamps, coins, some antique jewelry occasional small electronics needing more than 20X jeweler’s loupe. Did the one you buy last? Power options seems another price separator.(USB/Battery/ A/C plug).

Thank you for your review. An important question before I will be convinced to buy one: can you adjust the height in order to fit a lab rat or something like it? could you try it on a piece of chicken to see the tiny vessels? I need it for microsurgical purposes.

It’s mainly for viewing coins/stamps. But could also be used to view your pocket knife edge for anyone that is into knife sharpening and checking their handiwork under the scope.
Can you please explain how to change the zoom level on this scope? I've purchased a DM4 but there appears to be no menu option for setting zoom and outside of the menu, the left/right arrow buttons leave the magnification unchanged.
The silver piece w/ vertical lines above the lens rotates left & right will adjust magnification
@@jonnytrux3697That's the focus adjustment. I think the only way to change magnification on this model is to physically adjust the distance between the lens and the object being viewed; the closer the lens, the higher the mag. Although the vendors claim that this model has a x1000 mag, in reality it's between 10x and 20x.

generally those are used for smd soldering, there very useful for that but any more than like 30x and it’s useless

you need to look at live stuff, like in pond scum. I use them to look at bacteria in fish aquariums. wondering if this one will have enough magnification.
Did you try it for aquarium bacteria? I want to use it for the same thing.

Those batteries are called 18650 cells. Be careful where you order them as there are a lot of them on eBay and Amazon that claim to have much higher capacity than they really do; on the order of 1/4 the stated capacity!
Can it do hospital work? check for malaria parasites

Sadly it’s completely unbranded, however if you search amazon or eBay for digital microscope you’ll find the exact same product. Some do have brand names but are still exactly the same microscope built in the same factory.

Bill23799 I just got today....if anyone can prove this even 400 power I will give 5 star to where I got it.....but from my test....it looks like 50-100X at best..... (I can see 4.5 miller meters using the ruler at the bottom.....1000X would be 1/2 of a miller meter.....otherwise I still like it because it works!
