Hi!. Thanks for making this complete video about PC-Engine hardware and its games and congratulations for your great collection. I just discovered this amazing console and your video help me a lot to know more about it. Looking for to watch your new videos. Greetings! 😁👋
I found a trick for operate the everdrive (not pro version) on the analog duo. You must first start on a real hucard game, exit the game, insert the everdrive, go to library, select the previous game and launch it, this manipulation allows you to launch the everdrive ✌️✌️✌️
If you are considering purchasing the Analogue Duo, please be aware that the volume level may be lower than expected even when turned up to the maximum level, particularly low with Hucard games. Additionally, if you plan to use Roms and the Turbo Everdrive Pro, please note that saves states are not working with Hucard Roms.
was just thinking about your channel yesterday and today's this! ha, i think you ordered it like, what, 2 years ago? so much stuff since then changed, damn. happy early new year i guess!
I burned a couple Dungeon Explorer 2 CDs and the audio is out of sync in the awesome cinematics. I wonder if it’s just me or if it would be the kind of thing to be patched. Game seems fine otherwise.
Good to know that I'm not the only one with troubles. Hopefully it can be patched! We'll see in a couple of months when maybe some new firmware is released.
@@wildstar41 Yeah I mention it in the video. That's even more concerning that it also happens with the US version. We'll just have to wait for Analogue to address the issues. :)
Actually, even with a jailbreak that may allow to play games off the SD card, it doesn’t prevent CD-based games from freezing. Seems to be either a timing issue or something with the original game programming that is not streaming assets on newer hardware. There are similar issues with the TerraOnion device from a few years ago. I was disappointed by the Analogue Duo’s shortcomings with CD-based games and random freezing. So as of now, it does not replace my original hardware.
Yeah I had my third freeze yesterday on Tengai Makyou: Ziria translation 1.1 which I burned to a cd. I went down to a boss-corridor and it froze the second time I went down. The third time went fine. The pce-cd core analogue wrote must be worse & more unstable than the Mister core, because that one works perfect from all the testing I've done (although little). We can only hope they update the Analogue Duo software to fix these issues within the coming months.
@@Elrinthhope cd games get fixed soon. I haven't had freezing, but I've had graphic glitches and repeating cutscenes. Over and over it sometimes loops and I can't get in game. Love having a new hardware though. My TG16 CD stopped spinning discs years ago!
Just started the video... but i can definitely say im very disappointed in the Duo, the sound is WAY OFF. Very inaccurate sounds when attacking 'hitting' in some games. Keith Courage, splatterhouse & Legendary Axe to name a few. The TurboGrafx-16 core on the openFPGA on the Pocket is more accurate to the TurboGrafx-16 then the Analogue Duo is. Im very displeased with Analogues ver of a TurboDuo. Its ridiculously. I LOVE the TurboGrafx-16, it was my introduction to gaming when i was 5 in 1993 so i was really looking forward to this... i can only hope they'll fix the issues with a update... but even then it shouldn't have needed such a fix. Should have been a great republication of the TG16 from day one. I only wish the really big RUclipsrs would have pointed out the flaws... because as of right now its only been a few comments, including myself that have pointed out the sound flaws. And APPARENTLY some users have gotten the discs scratched from using the Analogue Duos auto disc feeder, which i HOPE isnt true...
Oh shit I havent really check my bottom of cds after using the duo. But this is great information. Thank you for sharing. I DO point out the Legendary Axe sfx are different compared to real hardware in the video.
@Elrinth oh great dude! I'll definitely finish your video! No worries 😊👍 yeah I'm annoyed BUT hopefully they fix this crap LOL. This console is to expensive to have software flaws like with the inaccurate sound. And I was using the PCE works repros of a few disc's like Dungeon Explorer 2, haven't noticed any damage to the disc's. So hopefully that's not common
@@lovelorn88nick I'll burn a brand new cd and give it tries and see if I notice something, because I can't really tell with any of my previous cds as I have to previous knowledge on how clean they were beneath.
@Robert_Shmigelsky that made no difference, also the low volume isn't even my biggest issue. It's the inaccurate sound. I've had better sound effects emulating TurboGrafx-16 on a Raspberry Pi. They really need to fix this
Can anyone point me to a good resource for how to burn TG16 CD games on an Apple silicon Mac? I have a few old games that have started to suffer disc rot and I want to get them backed up before I lose my collection.
It's funny to see a collector like you : you buy REAL physical games and... you complain about everdrive !! For me it's simple : you have a conscience .... or you don't ! In fact, emulation is more simple and those games are more than 30 years old.... I know about copyrights, but when you don't have a market for those "oldies" (I'm not speaking about a niche market here... which is exactly what it is with retrogaming...).... well, emulation and piracy are still here to " preserve " old games... I'm not sure people will still be able to play those games in 30 or 40 years from now... but at least games will still be floating around.... IF internet isn't completely controlled by companies, of course ....
I don't complain about everdrive :) I do have one for GBA, N64, Mega Drive and Famicom. I just see no point in one for the Analogue Duo specifically as it would have a jailbreak like it now does. For Pc-Engine console I think the Super HD System 3 Pro is a better value with both hdmi and SuperGrafX emulation. It can allow the original Pc-Engine play it all and have HDMi out. Whereas the Everdrive card can't do all those things.
I use the 8bitdo NeoGeo CD controller on Bluetooth and the 6 buttons works perfectly on Street Fighter 2, Fatal Fury Special 👍👍👍

😂
why only HDMI, i guess that was a mistake, they should add Component or RGB, because the new displays will add lag.
I'm assuming they will add support for the DAC, one day :) But first they need to fix the sync issues with talk stuff in games.

Will you test out the v1.3 update?
Waiting for a new jailbreak
