Do you still use your Analogue NT Noir? Just curious. I sold mine and spent the money on building a nice emulation PC. I still have an original NES hooked up to a CRT. But sometimes I miss having the Noir for those awesome Jailbreak cores running on an FPGA. If the Noir supported different controllers for those cores besides the NTT data pad then I would have been more enticed to keep it. I would have really liked the ability to use a corded Genesis controller with it.
I still have mine, but I don't really use it much. I haven't played Famicom in a long time. I considered selling mine aswell. I do have lots of physical games tho. I do have a MisteR now which can replace the Famicom+Disk System, Snes, Mega Drive all up to N64. As well as my Saturn and PS1. There is a cheaper MisteR alternative today btw incase you wanna go that route. Called "MiSTER Pi". Sadly seems sold out atm.

Very nice tutorial! Short and easy to follow! I thought I had recognized that shader effect from Castlevania: SotN where you encounter Death, kinda and kinda not, the background is a bit similar, like a swirl. Lol. That effect is really dope, though. Hope to see more news from your game soon!

@@benjbit there is a new (a bit more expensive), better way now called: Greazeweazle. You buy original floppy drive of system you wanna backup/write floppies of and the greazeweazle and simply use it on your windows 11.

Still waiting but excited to get my copy of Blazing Rangers and some other titles from 1st Press Games! Sadly after the recent Kickstarter update it seems we likely won't be getting Hazelnut Bastille.
Yeah I have blazing rangers, it's pretty fun! :D Whaaaat, I was sooo looking forwards to that game, being a big Zelda and Secret of Mana fan.
Fallen leaf also dropped about six weeks ago but I haven't touched it yet

no I was never able to measure the transformer.. maybe you can measure yours?
@@Elrinth the other person on RUclips who had the same problem and repaired his transformer stated that the input was 100v and output was 18v ac.
This looks unreal. Hard to believe this would actually run on NES hardware using a physical cartridge without fancy enhancement chips. (I hope though they fix the walk cycle(s) because currently the character is sliding over the ground as if it was slippery.)
@@cube2fox they are most definitely using a fancy chip to make it work :) Also I agree the walking animation is somewhat wonky :)
It uses a new mapper with an FPGA on it and is megabytes in size. it's legit tho.
One can fit entire raspberry pi inside a NES cartridge. The reason people make NES games is because NES emulation is widely available and strict limitations allow them to finish their games in a set amount of time.

Nice with a longer video! Awesome garden, and I really like those meatball bushes some Japanese people have. 0:57 was quite meatball-y in the background. I had to google Ingrid Bergman as well. She was around before our time, so no wonder. 😅 I hope you're able to bring back all the stuff without any problems! But the prices you're talking about is definitely true, it's probably gotten worse in the last couple years but I even felt when I was there I would find these cool stores but often I was deterred by the prices. This game's visuals are all being doing with 2bpp tiles, which is just bonkers to think about. Genuinely, at times it could pass for an early PC Engine or Genesis game.
What's 2bpp tiles? It seems the provided footage has too many colors for the NES.
@@cube2fox 2bpp (two bits per pixel) basically means they're stuck only being able to use three visible colours per 8x8 graphic tile to make all the background visuals there. On NES it's three visible colours per 8x8 tile for the backgrounds, with four three-colour palettes to choose from draw all the background visuals (12 colours total there for backgrounds), and four three-colour palettes to choose from for all the sprites (12 colours total there for sprites, with sprites generally using only one palette each). So, generally, 24 colours total for everything you see in both the backgrounds and sprites combined on-screen, and limited to a tiny three colours per 8x8 pixel tile. Hopefully that makes sense. And, given those limitations, it shows just how great a job these guys have done working within such restrictions.
Correct, the tiles sets are restricted to the capabilities of a real NES console. However they are using a special mapper which allows them to use more tiles than most other NES game and an 8x1 color attribute which allows them to manually put colors on each 8x1 pixel row. This allows for more colors in places where a standard 8x8 pixel tile wouldn't normally allow. Because of this, it can look like a 16 bit game. However good luck running it on an emulator or 3rd party device because while a real NES supports this, clone consoles may not.
