    Unfortunately as a US citizens you are taxed on your global earnings. This is also the same for UK citizens as well.
    Brst to setup your own company and then you can reduce you taxes. The key thing will be deducting travel, Internet, living costs because you are working whilst traveling.
    Make sure to do DD on double taxation treaties to ensure u do not get taxed twice.

    Things I would question when moving as a DN.
    What is cost of living like?
    Do people have good English?
    How is the weather?
    What is the tax?
    Is it well connected?
    As a single person(are the women hot?)
    I'm an EU citizen and Portugal seems to tick all the boxes, bar the final one.

    Most of us come from countries that allow us to travel to many countries without needing a visa. Applying for a digital nomad visa just puts you on someone's radar that you really don't need or want. Just get a free tourist visa at the border when you arrive and do what you want. Been working as a digital nomad for 1.5 years across three countries in Latin America: Colombia, Mexico and Dominican Republic.

    • @sia_ibk
      @sia_ibk Год назад +1

      I don't think tourist visas allow you stay for extended periods like a digital nomad visa permits.

    • @mobilegameplaywalkthroughs990
      @mobilegameplaywalkthroughs990 Год назад +3

      @@sia_ibk True. But there are a lot of countries with big limits. Just hop back and forth. I stayed in Colombia for 6 months last year, and Mexico for the other 6 months. This year, I started in Colombia for three months, and since then, I've been in the Dominican Republic. All free tourist visas on a Canadian passport.

    If you have such Visa in one from the EU countries, can you go to other EU countries for limited period of time, or you can't at all?

    • @FIREPsyChat

      It depends country by country but you can travel freely as long as that country is a part of the EU. Is that what you’re asking?

    It doesn't make any sense. If the clients can hire you and you can work from anywhere, then I would go back to India (my own country) and live there woking as freelance. But would the clients hire me if I say I will be located in India? Though taxes in India are higher compared to the countries you are mentioning, it is much easier as cost of living can be controlled.
