It's honestly extremely fitting that they'd have Scorpions not only be one of the guest performers but have them open this particular performance considering that they're a German band!

I was there. I joined the Air Force in 1987. I was stationed in Bitburg Germany from 88 - 90. I got tickets and found a ride with other airman that were stationed at Bitburg. Still remember the drive on the AutoBaun. When we were close to the Russian checkpoint (Wall had come down but they were still there), the traffic went from 240 - 250 KPH to 0. I had to slam on the brakes. Came within inches of the car in front of me. It felt like everyone in West Germany was going to the show. All the people got out of their cars and we had a AutoBaun party. It was nuts.

Actually, this is as all live. The Scorpions actually accidentally blew up the PA system for Roger and his band, as they underestimated how heavy and intense they were. So they had some technical issues for a little bit.
