Corax is literally a cartoon character.
His voice, his movement, his wording.
Almost likes he’s going for that
@@alex.g7317 I’m just gonna ignore ya. Sorry m8
@@AdrianDaWeeb 😂
Yes, the modern term is VTuber.
No wonder he's so good at animating everyone's other favorite cartoon character.
Corax is slowly turning into a storytime animator
and we're all here for it
Good...
Yep, just with more effort.

I am so in love with this new style of content you make now, Corax! I adore your animations, and I am so glad that peeps also watch your game review-type videos!!!!
Ah, what a festive and jolly video! We sometimes need a violent and combat-based Christmas in our lives, merry Christmas, Corax!
These game...review? Re living? Whatever you would call these, they are fantastic. Great editing, great script, great bits/jokes. Keeps it entertaining from start to end!
I genuinely hope that if Slave Zero X sells well then we get a genuine remake of the original Slave Zero. But changed to fit more the original concept where both the titular bio-mech and enemy Slaves look like more techno-organic nightmarish EVA-likes and the theme of becoming a monster to fight monsters and sacrificing some of your humanity is prevalent.
Edit: Also Merry Christmas.
If they make slave zero 2 I just need it two be a DMC clone it would be perfect
It would be fitting that the mechs would be called "slaves" since I believe the name "robot" originally came from the word for slave.
Nice! We had less than a dozen people on staff making this and made our own engine at the same time! Also, technically it wasn't complete as designed due to the Dreamcast version dropped on us in the last 6 months of development so we had to stop everything to tear it apart so it would even run on the DC. Great video, thanks for the love!
Getting stuck in videogames because you don't know a word in English is a painfully relatable childhood memory for me.
Love these longer video essays you've been doing, Keep it up man!
Bio-mechanical mech designs are always amazing.
The fact that an obscure third-person action shooter from 1999 is getting a prequel is amazing but also refreshing
I wonder if there are any other franchises that developers/publishers could do the same?
It’s not really obscure, but I’m waiting for a revival of the Gauntlet series on part with Dark Legacy that is as fun, arcadey, goofy, and made for couch coop
Everyone's rightly praising the great animation, but this guy's voice is perfect for this kinda stuff
I ADORE these essay/nostalgia/review videos. The writing, presentation, and gags are all wonderful!
You mentioned playing the game before you knew English. Are you not a native speaker? You sound perfectly native!
I love your stuff in all it's forms, you're so talented it's inspiring!
idk why but I really like the way you said "ho-ho, that's chonky!"
Liking the new series of videos!
Slave zero is pretty decent for a game release in 1999
still can't get over how relaxing Corax's voice is
can confirm trains are still dangerous in slave zero X
I knew English wasn't his first language but going from not being able to read as kid to now is impressive!
Old video game water is soothing. I remember just chilling in the windwaker fairy pools (not to mention all the other water in the game!)
When a dude you watch for his animation talent drops a video essay on one of your favorite classic PC games and it's super well done.....you know you did the right thing by subscribing.
Wow, I did not expect "Corax's Game Dungeon" for Christmas!
What i conclude from the two mech shooting games I've seen, is what makes a mech fighter is to strafe really fast while aiming.
I was having a really rough day today, and seeing that you have a new video made me really happy! Your animation and videos are always so enjoyable!
I'm loving this turn into longer form nostalgia essays. Good stuff.
30k views in the first 24 hours?? damn, i wish this was more popular. it's beautifully edited, narrated, and ofc the animation is phenomenal ❤ keep doing what ur doing Corax
Your avatar looks way too devious for how nice you are.
Haven't seen this yet but it's rad you covered this. When my dad was alive he loved this game and it seemed so unreal, like a dream. Good days. Cant wait to enjoy this video.
Edit: I can indeed say I enjoyed this. Happy holidays Corax
"chucking objects compared to using weapons is useless"
idc chuck because I can *chucks*
Happy holly days Corvax.
Gotta love that old first/third person shooter vibe these games had back then.
Corax has evolved his content
Been watching you for years and love to see how much your content has evolved! Keep it up Corax! Happy holidays!
Oh my god, I've wanted to find this game for so many years, but I never remembered the name.
This game has a special heart, because got this game from my dad before he passed away, and I legit loved playing it
this is so wild, literally like just a week or two ago i found out about slave zero because an artist i like is the art director on slave zero x. and ive been wondering about the original game and then i get this video on my home page
Reminds me of Crackdown, My dad used to get Xbox and Xbox 360 Demo discs, one had Crackdown and NBA2K on, kept playing the Crackdown demo soo much my parents bought me the game for Christmas, its actually the game that got me hooked to Xbox as my dad kept buying PS and Xboxs and selling them later on when he needed money, soo after Crackdown i found Gears of War and Halo and by Xbox 360/PS3 generation ive completely dropped Playstation, used to play Prince of Persia: Sands of Time and Devil May Cry on PS2 and Odd World Strangers Wrath and MX VS ATV Unleashed on OG Xbox so I was conflicted during that time
I love being on your fantastical menagerie of patrons, can’t wait to see more from ya
Corax doing what Corax does best. Being Corax
Had Slave Zero on Dreamcast and the game was hard enough without the control issues (controller really could've use a few more buttons to avoid right shift + another button shenanigans), but I always enjoyed watching my Dad play it. Thanks for the nostalgia trip and keep having good tastes in games! Gonna have to check out the prequel when it comes out
10 MINUTE CORAX VIDEO?
Jolly-hoh, Saint Nick! It's gonna be a good christmas!
6:52 I just had to pause this and every time I looked back at my screen I kept cackling like a manaic each time i noticed something new :))) thank you for the laughs
1:15 Bionicle The Game mentioned! My childhood has been validated
Somewhat unrelated but, it saddens me that there are MANY unique game experiences given to me as a child thanks to demo disks that I will simply NEVER remember. I’ve tried so hard to research it and remember the names or key aspects of the demo but it’s no use. Anyways, it was nice to hear about your experience with demo disks
A youtuber making a video about something they love and not for a monetary gain??? That's possible?!?! (nah but i love these corax please keep it up love you bro)
These stupid little half second edits are the greatest.
I’m so glad that this game got a prequel recently, and a great one at that!
I love these high-quality reviews of old games you've started to do, especially with all the fun animations in between!
I found this review because Ziggurat Entertainment recently released a Quake total conversion mod for Slave Zero X and with the blessing of id Software, it was released as an official add-on for Quake Remastered. Seriously, I'm not making this up, there's so much effort put into this TC and it's unreal how Ziggurat Entertainment released this for free, especially on the Quake engine.
Great review by the way, this game looks like a fun mech shooter, and is it just me or does the Slave mech look suspiciously similar to a Warforged from D&D? Although considering that Slave Zero came before Eberron, it's actually the other way round and it seems that Keith Baker has great taste.
I gotta say, really loving this kindof content. Very chill to watch while working on things :)
Corax, I’m glad you’re having fun with these because I’m having fun watching them!
no way its Jerma Animation Guy
Bro's character is an SCP formed by Disney & Tim Burton.
I love this content!! Your voice is soothing and you have good comedic timing- hope to see more in the future
Watching videos on games i’ve never heard of but the person making the video has a genuine love for is my favorite type of content. Been having a great time with these new videos!
Slave Zero deserved more attention back then.
6:52 made me laugh
I love this new style of content, keep it up!!
I'm so glad you decided to branch out to this style of content! As much as I love your animations, I enjoy this format even more! Keep up the good work!
Loving this new style of content you’re doing man
The designs of these mecha remind me of aura battler Dunbine, I think you’d like it!
Criminally underrated and underviewed.
Loving how you're doing this mini doc stuff now, your style is fantastic.
you came out of nowhere for me and im glad you did, been looking for more creative and unique 'toobers to watch, quality stuff my guy.
2:30 YES! Thank you for acknowledging that the origin of Christmas comes from Jesus Christ.
I love Corax's both 3d and drawn animations, they're so expressive and clean looking
This was so fun to watch!! Love your energy and the pacing is perfect! It was really fun to learn about a game from your childhood and its nice to see the cool details and art direction without having to play a somewhat buggy older game 😅 amazing stuff tho forreal! I hope you do more of these sorts of videos, i think you have a lot to contribute !!
Dude, i just LOVE these review videos
I love getting to watch the new videos you animate/release, you make good content ❤
Keep up the amazing work, and don't stress yourself out too much.
Dude I love this new video format keep it up!!
Merry christmas corax, thanks for the video.
You are not alone in your love of video game water.
Man, the first vid of yours I ever saw was your old game grumps animation yeeeears ago. Been awesome seeing your channel become what it is, these essays are amazing.
your voice fills me with holiday joy
This game looks sick! I’ll definitely be checking this out on my break. Thanks for making this video and spreading awareness of it, Corax. Merry Christmas!
Was not expecting these types of videos from funny animation man, but I'm glad you started making this type of content. Love the format!
Merry Christmas and a happy new year, Corax.
This is so awesome!! I will try to support on patreon soon as I can cause I LOVE this content!!
Oh my god, that Mass Produced EVA toilet. I never want to see that again.
This is one of my favourite "b list" action games. i love the aesthetic! glad to see someone cover it.
I had to go back and check the split-second gag at "bionicles - i mean bio-mechanicals" because it didn't register at first... and i gotta be honest, I should be less surprised that someone made "caked up bionicle thing"
While I initially subbed for the Jerma animations I’m pleasantly surprised with the pivot into video essay type stuff. It’s really good! Keep it up!
Thank you for this video. I was just thinking about this game yesterday and could not think of the name for the life of me! ❤
Love the new video essay animation videos you have been doing. Please don’t stop ❤
Love this! Happy Holidays Corax!
Hell yea! BIG Corax W. Glad your doing stuff :D
Babe wake up Corax made another video essay about old video games!
Oh. Oh this was a tasty video. Absolutely hecking loving this style of video you've been doing!
Your content is amazing, you have the coolest stuff ever and the quality is great :DD
LOVE this game dude, thanks for makin a vidyaeo about it
I got Slave Zero from a PC Gamer issue back in the day, what a great game.
Oh, never would've guessed that english isn't your first language
This is genuinely one of my favorite channels ever
This is a really cool review... I'm going to wait for more
Finally getting to learn more about Corax lore.
i heard about Slave Zero from Slave Zero X and i am beyond excited to play both, despite them being entirely different genres, i happen to be a big fan of both of those genres
i love hearing you talk
Man. Ive always dreamed of this game reviews/lets plays mixed with animation
I used to LOVE this game, it was so cool being a giant mechanoid that could pick up cars and chuck them, and the sense of scale was so awesome!
I like this evolution of video format (:
Hi Corax!
I really enjoyed this video. I've never heard of "Slave Zero" before, but you described it well.
For me, growing up, I'd play this game called "Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance." I usually played two-player, with my stepdad. My least favorite part of the game was when you finish the sewers, and go into the crypts... Fighting skeletons and zombies 💀... Could never play that part by myself.
The best Christmas present I could ask for… Corax upload
