2:01 SHOTS FIRED get em Vincent
They probably meant LG is the first with the "New" Filmmaker Mode
no that's not it @@kristfur
@@cainification well Phillips uses LG panels.
"... then who am I to argue?" 😀 Love it. 😀
A+ FOR LG AND THEIR NEW TECHNICAL MENUS AND SUB MENUS
Frankly these should've been normal features a long time ago. It seems like the menus and settings are generally done by a summer intern as an afterthought, and occasionally someone notices "Oops, this shouldn't be like this" and then slight progress happens. (LG isn't anywhere near the worst though.)
I still have a c9 for 4 years now and i still love it
Same for me, sometimes I check out the newer models but every time I turn on my TV I'm so happy with the picture quality that no need to upgrade, here's to another couple of years!
Same… last year I grabbed a C3 42”, game mode was so dark compared to my C9, I immediately took it back. I guess this years is much better
@@danielwolstenholme9649 i buy the c9 back thene for console gaming but since the consoles cant do 4k 120 fps yet im good with this tv till the ps7 or 8
What a flood of information, thank you very much for this.
MLA needs to come to the C line. And same Samsung's QD-OLEDs.
Just save up and get the G4 line cuh
It's not happening. Not until the G-series has tech that makes you want it in the C-series, too.
The days of LG essentially giving you everything but the fancy design in the mid-tier models is over.
Don’t hold your breath for MLA to come C line anytime soon. My guess is 3 years.
Samsung has QD OLED in C series price bracket...
It should have been on this years C’s for sure. This is horse shit. I wanted to upgrade last year. Guess I’m skipping this year too. I have a C9, I need a G4 in 42” or a C series with MLA
Think I'll just stick with my C1 for a few more years
I'm still on my c9 lol, no burn in or anything
I’m still with a Sony A80J 77” .
I remember the C1 and A80J were a very entertaining dog match back in 2021. The biggest rivalry between Sony and LG mid-tier OLEDs ever. Too bad the G1 was no match for the A90J. Even the A80J edged out the G1.
lol me too C1 holding up fine
Depends on film you watch g1 looks so much better to me@@unknownsource4359
Yup. Same here.
The stands are hilarious
You got to love this guy
Oh okay then. I wasn't going to, but if I got to, then I will.
brb liking this guy
Looking forward to C4 vs C3 Evo! Thanks.
A 42” qd-oled would be an instant buy for me.
I feel like many of these improvements could be baked into the older tv's software. Obviously some stuff is hardware limited but I still don't seem much reason to upgrade my CX yet. I want to spend the money but theres just not enough reason yet.
Agreed. This is clearly not a big year for LG. Same with Samsung.
For gaming I could argue your CX is straight up better and the C2-C3 are downgrades.
to be honest the whole UI can be ported i dont know why they lock it behind models im sure you could perfectly turn on or off ALLM on any OLED they are just greedy and want people to upgrade
@@astreakaito5625I have a CX and love it. Why are the C2-C3 downgrades I am asking because I don't really know much about them.
From the c2/g2 gen onwards they removed 120hz BFI limited to only 60hz meaning cant also be used for 60 Hz content interpolated up to 120hz. And has yet to return to any oleds since then (as LG manufacture all of the OLED panels used)
Great update by my go to channel before buying. Still enjoying C1 for Xbox & Apple TV. For my movies love my JVC 4K projector in bat cave. Buy 4K & BR disc, nobody deleting my films. Central stand great. Thanks Vincent for vlogs🖥️🎥📽️🎞️
Or just pirate them lol
This channel deserves more Subs!! ✌✌
Wow. Nicely made video. 🤗
I have a feeling LG is going to take TV of the year this year.
Dethrone A95L too?
Don't see it myself think the A95l will still be the best
G4 will be up there for sure, but also is very, very expensive. Sony's X95M might also be a real contender due to the mini-led tech becoming so sophisticated that they can hit 1 200 000:1 or higher contrast ratio, closing in on OLEDs' microcontrast.
Lol good one.
If they improve the smoothing, chroma, color accuracy, near black chrominance overshoot, and bypass sony at that then maybe
I'm glad that I got the C3 and didn't wait for the C4. Maybe the C5 will get the MLA panel.
new LG G4 has 2300 nits brightness
LG C4 has 1170 nits brightness
LG B4 has 900 nits brightess
Bring Back Central Stands. Yes!
Must have for me or no sale, Don't care how good the picture quality is.
Likely not going to happen as it makes the TV unstable. Moving the feet out to the sides lowers the center of gravity and make the TV less likely to be tipped over if bumped. The lawyers inside of the legal departments are the ones that are making companies do away with center stands. (Hint: Who do you think it was that killed off all the curved TV screens so fast? Bingo!)
I feel you, but vesa alternatives are pretty affordable nowadays
@@michaelbeckerman7532why did they kill curved screens?
@@michaelbeckerman7532 Yeah that's rubbish, I have a Panasonic 50 inch VT30 plasma with central stand no problems with stability whatsoever. The trouble with these new stands are they make the TV look cheap and if you want to go slightly bigger than what you have with central stand TV (I want a 55 inch) I would have to buy a new TV stand. Extra cost to customer because TV companies can't design a decent central stand that TV's from 12 years ago had with no problems.
Hello my man, great content. I do have one question though. You mention that the stand for the g4 is included and doesnt have the upward tilt, i just want to ask if it will be compatible with the g3? Thinking of getting a stand for my g3 and was wondering if the stand for g4 is compatible with the g3 so i dont have to worry about the slight tilt. Thanks
Yes!
Still rocking my 7 year old B7. Been waiting patiently to upgrade, this could be the time 👍
Do you have burn-in? My dad had a B6, crazy amounts of burn-in.
Nice
@@kristfurif he says no it's literal bullshit lol. Even if it was 1 hour per day it would still get burn in by now with such an old panel and how shallow oled protection was back then. XD
@@sermerlin1I've got a B7 and there's no visible burn-in during any normal usage.
@@sermerlin1 The burn-in started being really noticeable in 2020-2021. He got 4-5 years out of it.
The ALLM switch was already available on my C3 42" that I bought last month. Wonder if it's a new firmware? 1:37
Thank you
Do you still have the option of bundling the 55/65” G4 with the wall mount instead of the stand?
Exciting features, I'm due for an upgrade with my nearly 7 yr old LG with many defective components. However, laser projectors are catching up except price. I like projectors for portability and less fragile than huge thin glass. This channel should cover laser projectors too
7:30, i dont understand, there are 2 versions of MLA V2 panel? In the recommended video about the explanation of the two versions i see just the differnces betwen the first generation and the second one, what im missing?
Great video, as always.
Are you planning to check/review the latest webOS upgrade for older models?
My LG G2 now has a 4:4:4 option available for all inputs - no more need to do the change-input-icon-to-pc trick!
Thanks! :)
Which version of mla 2.0 are we getting in the uk
When are you getting the C4 or G4 in for review, I want to know those nit numbers, thanks.
Love that software toggles are exclusive to new models lol
QN90D 43 VS C4 42 (MONITOR) PLEASEa
Yes
Still waiting for the return of 120hz bfi. Wish LG would listen to the customers.
i don’t think it will ever come back, but would love to be proven wrong.
@@quaticuswhy did they remove it in the first place you think? 🤔
@@godspeedmaximus bfi is a feature that only the must enthusiast know and only people that has played on better motion clarity displays like plasma or crt would understand for most users it was a setting that killed the brightness basically
maybe not enough consumer mindshare and interest in the feature to keep it functional at the same level as before, or otherwise cost cutting would be my guess
I have a LG C1 and never used it. Why would I?
great video .But in you opinion . Is the G4 worth the upgrade from the G3 if I'm a big movie watcher
I really want to know how bright the 42“ and 48“ models (c4) get. Sure they are not as bright as the 55“,65“ and 77“, but are they bright enough?
Finally pro custom tone mapping....❤
I wonder will custom HDR curves be available in last years models with firmware update? I hope so...
I'll still go for the C3 once it gets discounted because I can't see myself having more than 120 fps playing at 4k on PC, the GPU i'd need is waaay to expensive.
I'm rocking a C3. And can't wait till order the C4 with all the new features, this is an amazing opportunity for those that have been using their C3's now for the past 9 months or so to upgrade to the C4!
@@michael-4k4000you must have a lot of disposable income. What do you plan on doing with the C3?
With AMD decoupling their frame generation solution from FSR, I can see myself running relatively recent games at framerates north of 120, even with the 3060 Ti I have
Can you do a update video on settings for C3/C4. The menu options are diff from the C1 video now. Would really appreciate 🙏🏻
so I put off my purchase of Sony A95L QD-OLED 55 inch and wait for LG G4 ?
Is there any way you could pease do a console picture settings guide for the Series x ps5 and switch on the lgc3
Are there any USB 3.0/3.1/3.2/Gen1/Gen2 or USB-C ports on G4 to get gigabit or more wired internet speed via USB to Ethernet adapters ?
Any word if the C4's HDMI's are HDMI 2.1 w/Full 48 Gbps Bandwidth that would allow it to run the 144hz at 4:4:4 ?
@mastersirus1985: We've been told that it's full 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, but obviously we'll test it ourselves once we get a review sample.
@@hdtvtest Any release date already?
@@velvlet I already have the C4 42".
Likely not. Recall that several other companies also recently claimed to have full 48 Gbps bandwidth on their devices only to later admit to a far lower actual throughput number.

I need the LG C4 to unlock peak brightness during SDR gaming 😎
Just play on one of the ISF modes and disable all the picture processing settings under clarity + any AI service + enable game optimizer in general setting, walla you have a nice picture and decent enough input lag
@@PheTEC In what mode people are putting it on for Switch and PS3 these days?
@@FredT1988people don’t know and usually use game optimizer picture mode but complain it looks washed out blurry and dull, and I agree.
You could use PC source Mode and one of the ISF picture modes to achieve low input lag, and if not bright enough utilise a program on windows called color control to enable high peak brightness.
Otherwise you can do the above in game console source mode but that’s if you’re ok with living with 20-30ms input lah
set you hdmi input to 'PC' and choose a non game mode you like, id rather have a locked brightness with no abl though
@@polly_2526yea in a dark room it’s totally fine but once you get a bit of a brighter room you start needing the peak brightness
I'd love to see Vincent review the screen for STEAM DECK OLED. I know it's not a TV, but it's a brilliant screen IMO.
will the g4 stand be available for g3
Looks like they redesigned the back panel, so probably not :(
Please review the new FSI XMP 310 Oled monitor!!!
I’m actually curious about the QNED 91 series for 2024 as my mum needs to replace her old OLED that’s worn out.
Someone put a damn beat on the first 10 secs of this video.. My guy got a mad flow 🔥 🔥
Is the CX/ C1 still the only OLED to support BFI 120hz?
Yes
Need a 65” oled c4 👍🏽🤩
I honestly can't wait for the G4 review to see how it stacks up against everything else out there right now
How about ABL in the C4? Is it possible to turn it off completely like the C2? :)
Is the color booster fixed on the gamemode?
This is what we need answers for. Otherwise the colors look crap
According to classy tech which was at LG he said yes they did fix it
I have the E8 C1 and C2 .. I won't be updating now since LG decided to skimp out on the C series
Hi, will you ever do a best settings video for LG G3 general use and gaming?
Rtings already did! You do have to pay $8 or so, but compared to the cost of the TV that is nothing.
I need your help, which is the best TV for 600€ or less? What panel do you recommend for a cinema fan like me ( inside that number). Thx in advance, your content is gold
Anyone know if that G4 stand fits the G3?
Any hints of the return of OLED Motion Pro BFI 120 Hz?
Great video as always,
I will be waiting on Philips oled+ 959. Hopefully it will be really good :)
They removed Hue, so thats a no for me , back to LG it is
Vincent can you tell me what the proper value for paper white for my LG c1 when gaming ?I can't seem to find an answer online. Please and thank you.
100 or 200 nits depending on your preference. Some ppl go up to 250
Vincent, how do you get those macro shots showing the sub pixel arrangement? Do you do it on an iPhone?
@JaimeMartinez8: Yes, just an iPhone.
@@hdtvtest modern iPhones do macro photos really good compared to other smartphones.
Someone here mentioned that the Sony A95L is not great at Dolby Vision. Is that true? If so what's the issue?
Is ai upscaling disabled in game mode in ps5 or xbox series x?
Being able to edit the tone curve on the TV directly is a game changer!
Its great, but I rather change at the source. Meaning for PC we can use reshade+lilium mods to fix broken HDR in games that many has broken, also fix raised black levels! But these built in TV tools are good for console gamers as well and for movies.
Watching this on a 42" C4!
My only gripe so far is the menus are SLOW! Make them faster LG!
Certainly a surprise that LG is making VA panels for their QNED. Their local dimming was impressive at its time even with IPS. Now we'll get to see it compete against QN90D properly. Too bad the base model size starts at 65 inches.
It will be interesting for sure. It sucks that it's only available in 65" and 75".
Or maybe it is just more advanced ADS Pro, not a VA?
@ At LG's UK HQ, someone had tapped the screen and it caused local picture distortion different from IPS and It was confirmed by LG but only 65 and 75" of QNED90 otherwise it's IPS. ADS Pro is very new and so far that I know of is only 75" Hisense U7K/U8K from BOE.
@@zarent01 Yes, that could be true, I had heard rumours that Samsung cannot use ADS in their US models for 2024 due to some patent war, so maybe LG was hit as well.
Vincent when will we see panels with Blue PHOLED?
Hey Vincent, any word from Sony on when their M series TVs will be announced and with what features?
77 G4 will not be shipped with a stand but could we buy an official one for this tv size?
Wish company like LG be more forthcoming about the panel used in region like India.
Wasn't ALLM a toggle on C3?
Having to worry about security and how many OS updates I'm going to get is just what I want from a TV 😒

Your videos are very highly informative
Now if only Philips/Signify would release their HUE app for LG as well instead of it being Samsung only. Or at the very least that they release a new Hue Play sync box that supports all the latest HDMI standards and high refresh rates.
Good to know my G2 will be getting WebOS updates for a while still. Didn't know that yet and that is awesome news.
Hello Vincent, When will you upload reviews for LG G4 Vs G3 and Samsung S90C Vs S90D?
I'm pretty sure LG C3 would be able to get the dolby vision filmmaker mode VIA software update... whether we'll get it or not though remains to be seen. Just got a C3 and a PS5 and play mostly in 60fps at the cost of lower graphics, a 30fps with motion interpolation would be so awesome if it was well executed to make up for the choppiness. Though not worth the upgrade. I guess it'll have to wait until PS6 for 4k + 60fps
It won’t get it. DV FMM is exclusive to 2024 models and onwards. LG will not push it to legacy models.
@@CyberWoogy ugh that's dumb. I guess if I don't have them side by side I won't know if it makes a diff
So WHICH version MLA panel will the 83" G4 get? Will it be last year's MLA panel?
That’s the million dollar question
@@MrStrictlyOLED The discussion at AVS mentions the 83” G4 will have the most advanced LGD WRGB OLED module in it.
Okey and which oled panel version will the g4 get? The 3000nit or the 2500nit?
2000 nits in 3%😂😂😮😢
The question is: do they still have the pink tint/horrendous AR coating?
Would you pay £300 fpr the C3 or £600 for the C4?
My C2 has damaged pixels and Richersounds will only offer a voucher. So unsure in which to get next for PC
Why doesn’t the 97inch does not get MLA and 144hz?
Do you have information on the differences regarding light reflections? Iirc the G3 series did better than other series. Is it again locked to the G4 series this year?
And why is B4 suddenly being less glossy than C4?
@FakYuhGoogel: Yes, only G4 & M4 with MLA OLED panel has the different anti-glare filter similar to the G3.
People are going to figure out adding 144hz to the older models with some firmware trickery
Waiting for this too.
Any info on when they release in EU?
Ok but its better the C3? Im about to buy one of those C4 or C3
Phillips isn't using the UHD Alliance's FILMMAKER MODE. FILMMAKER MODE is required to be in all caps. That's why it just says "Filmmaker."
LG *IS* the first TV to finally bring FILMMAKER MODE to Dolby Vision-long overdue.
We want to see 110 inch LG’s like the one HiSense and TCL make

All I care about right now is the upcoming 45" 21:9 240hz 5120x2160 OLED monitor. That and new RTX 5090 PC (I have old laptop now).
Does anybody know if the G4 stand is rotatable?
I would like to know if the stand would work on older G models, but cannot answer your question unfortunately (seems not rotatable though).
@@nathanaelniklaus2981yea it seems as if it‘s not rotatable, because it‘s nowhere mentioned, i think the stands for the g3 models were slightly rotatable, i also don‘t understand why there is no stand for the 77“ g4 since there was one for the g3 77“ i guess in the end there are at least 3rd party alternatives 🤷
