I thought Bill and Frank were cute as hell together. I'm man enough to admit. I got choked up when i saw where it was going. With the wine and pills. I'm very excited to see what else this show has in store for us.
It was also all confirmed in the game itself 10 years ago. Anyone that says they didn't notice it, or that it was "up to interpretation" was putting in the absolute work to not see what was right in front of him.
tbh I'd understand people being underwhelmed or irritated that the story there deviated a decent bit from the game with Bill dying, thus missing out on basically the entire Lincoln section of the game and Ellie vs Bill banter or that it sort of changed the pace a bit. But Bill was gay in the game lmao I don't get the woke agenda stuff, it has to be a troll imo, just to rile people up as opposed to people's actual opinions.
They did that Doctor thing in The Walking Dead. When they got to Alexandria. That doctor was beating on his wife and kids. Everyone knew it. Everyone turned the other way, because he was a doctor. And then came Rick Grimes....

Hearing Tommy's voice come from an evil dude's character feels so weird. Like it's cool seeing people from the game in the show, but it's also really wild when you actually see and hear it.
great discussion about tess! i've been back and forth on it myself; the show's version in particular seemed like a compelling character that i would've liked to have spent more time with. but I think the past two episodes did a good job of showing without telling how much she meant to Joel & how he kept her at a distance, which she basically told him before she died. And I mean both in the game and the show she had him wrapped around her finger, you feel like he would've followed her anywhere. At the same time, he was too traumatized and emotionally shut off to be vulnerable with her the way Bill was with Frank.
For anyone else that can't wait for the next episode, take solace that we're getting it early! (They're releasing it on Friday to avoid Super Bowl Sunday.)

IMDB scores per episode:
1.) 9.2/10 (83,203 reviews)
2.) 9.2/10 (75,986 reviews)
3.) 7.9/10 (176,000 reviews)
Never been a clearer example of review-bombing… it’s sad honestly
Brian got clapped in the spine. “My legs don’t work”.
😂 I love the little skit at the beginning. Y'all captured the ridiculous criticisms and hypocrisy that were lobbed at the show due to ep03.
"Killing a doctor is a bad move"
Well I have news for you guys...
😬
I personally Like golfing but You do You.
Watching them bond was the best part of this episode. That was sweet.
The dynamic that is continuing to be built for Joel and Ellie has been very well done. I think we “all” want the big event to happen…..to do it right we have to wait.
After three straight episodes of EMOTIONAL DAMAGE, this wonderfully light hearted episode is much needed.
🤣 honestly even watching thier reaction surprise and scare me cause the show is just so tense & awesome!
Ellie spent time at a FEDRA Military School. She knew the basics.
As a Truck Driver who frequents Love's Travel Stop, I can most assure you they are not only in the midwest. Though you won't find many up northeast.
Anna Torv is credited for 6 episodes, so we will be getting more flashbacks of Tess. Even if they're a minute like the one in episode 3.
That is not true, I doubt she will appear again.
Love love her since fringe
"If we're ever in an apocalypse and someone kidnaps me just shoot me."
I mean I was gonna shoot the kidnapper but I guess if this is what you really want...
I loved that you shouted out Calvin from Blind Wave. Crossover?? That’s awesome tho
They've done some crossovers a few years ago
*every 30 secs, every episode so far*
Mickey and/or Surji: “it’s so fucking good how their doing it”
Love Joel pretending to hate the pun book 😂😂😂
Also the song that plays when Ellie talks about the magazine is the same one that played in the video game when they got attacked by the Hunters!
The scenario of having to keep a doctor around even though they're a terrible person is something that happened in the Walking Dead TV show. I can't remember which season it was or the outcome, but it was an interesting premise.
That cold open y’all made had me cackling😂
Loved seeing the bond grow stronger between Ellie and Joel this episode💖
THE SKIT I CANT
I’m excited!! The next episode is coming EARLY on FRIDAY!! Because of the superbowl XD never been more happy because of the superbowl 😂😅
The northern route crosses the southern tip of Lake Michigan, and that's a hell of a lot of dense urban space.
That diarrhea pun was a banger 😭
I like the real world accuracy of Joel going hundreds of miles out of his way to avoid driving on 90 through Gary, nobody wants to got to Gary
I really want to see Marketa and Chris play the last of us part 1 together
It was nice to see the pun book. We all need a pun once in a while. Lol.
0:29 Tyrone magnus logic :D
Loved that Melanie was in this episode-kinda has the grit of her Yellowjackets character.
Of course you wish to see Tess (or Bill, for that matter) more. That's the point of the show, missing the people lost because the fungus/the people
Super love the beginning skit!!
That bridge with the train falling off it? That's a real bridge in the city I live in in Canada! It's called the High Level Bridge, it is super weird to see that in a TV Show.
Its hard watching a reaction or reading a tweet about this show when everyone played the game, it takes the fun out of it like WE GET IT that you’re excited you dont need to spoil us 🙂
"seeing these landscapes is the coolest part" ALBERTA PRIDE
This episode was a breath of fresh air i really enjoyed it
True Faith credits song always gets me, I bought a guitar just for that cover
Hearing Tommy's voice come from an evil dude's character feels so weird. Like it's cool seeing people from the game in the show, but it's also really wild when you actually see and hear it.
that skit made me press the like button before the reaction even started
2:02 I lOVE Blindwave and when I watched their video I also noticed Calvin was just sucked into the show and was just BROKEN😭
The second I saw the ground move I said to myself: 100% I hope the bloater comes out of there and its the first of its kind🧟♂️🍄
We have Arbys all over Alberta where this was filmed :)
great discussion about tess! i've been back and forth on it myself; the show's version in particular seemed like a compelling character that i would've liked to have spent more time with. but I think the past two episodes did a good job of showing without telling how much she meant to Joel & how he kept her at a distance, which she basically told him before she died. And I mean both in the game and the show she had him wrapped around her finger, you feel like he would've followed her anywhere. At the same time, he was too traumatized and emotionally shut off to be vulnerable with her the way Bill was with Frank.
As a Kansas viewer, I loved your roasting of Kansas.
I live in Tennessee and they have Love's here. It's not just the Midwest.
If this show winds up getting a tear out of Chris it had better win some Emmys!
The clip of Calvin was toooo good lmao
Episode 5 comes out Friday because of superbowl and the guy with the gray beard is the voice of Tommy in the game
LOVE YOUR SKIT AS USUAL! 🤣🤣👍
Arby’s: We don’t have the meats anymore 😞
The saddest part
For anyone else that can't wait for the next episode, take solace that we're getting it early! (They're releasing it on Friday to avoid Super Bowl Sunday.)
Man seeing Jeffery Pierce gave me chills. Seeing Joel and Ellie bonding almost got me in tear and seeing Henry and Sam bro man episode 4 was good
Joel didn't want Ellie to use guns not because he's questioning her gun skill but because he doesn't want a kid to go around shooting people.
In Falling Skies which is an end of the world type show, they kept doctors alive even if they sucked as people cause you need doctors
