- In this video we will be doing a van conversion for work, camping and surfing. Not a vanlife video because I wont be living in the van. Will need to carry tools and a surfboard as well as having a bed set. Watch us transform the van from empty to Full bed and drawer system, insulating the van and carpeting the bed. Enjoy :)
Nice work very inspiring got me wanting to travel now
Nice job m8. Got a similar plan, although, I left the parcel barrier. Hung a folding table on it behind the driver, and on the left was a fridge with another folding table. I cut the centre out of the parcel barrier so I could get access both ways. Then seats behind that to sit to eat. But I'm a 160cm shortarse. Got a propper camper dunny, behind the seats and a cooker and sink on the left. Bein 160cm I can sleep cross ways. Under the bed is a boot with access from inside and through the doors. Lidded storage over the wheel arch area. Yours looked a better than mine, and with the tools I saw your way more skilled than me at the build. I like the way you did the carpet!
We've got a H1 van, the 6 seater one and I'm planning to build a drawer system for the back when we go camping.
Thanks for the video it gave me a few new ideas. Ours has barn doors in the back and the plan is to build a 270° awning that I can swap between the bus and my Pajero.
Thanks Andre, the H1 sounds like it will be a beaut of a camper 👌
I have a iMac with a wheelchair lift we hardly use and wanted to convert that space into a sleeper with drawers and keep front row of seats , need to put side shelves or storage to hang or place in sides
Hope you get the build done and can get out and explore! 👍
Hey mate i rate the set up, just curious as to how high you built the base up off the van floor?
What did you use for insulation?
Need to work on the sound re traffic noise
