As a lover of indie games in the video game space, and weird little gems in general, this format absolutely fills my heart with joy. I hope you keep doing the big ones too, just make them a special treat, a now and then flavor :)
I really like these kind of round up reviews, as well as the ones you've done on the podcast. Lots of good games out there that don't lend themselves to elaborate full scale reviews.
Big fan of the format. The more luxurious reviews are definitely the hallmark of SUSD but obviously incredibly time consuming to produce. I just want more reviews and opinions from you guys so if you can up the quantity without sacrificing the quality (which this video shows you certainly can) then I say more of this please!
I'll echo a lot of other comments here to say that this was a fun and brief little thing. I love the full reviews, but I know they are a TON of work. These are cool ways to point to things that you've liked quite a bit. In each of these, I felt it was great to have a "I like this thing quite a bit, but it would be hard to make a full video all about it" thing. Bravo, Tom!
I think these will be good for every now and then. Being able to see more games is nice, yet more in-depth reviews still have their place. Just got my copy of Oath largely based on Tom's review!
I guess I like your longer reviews more. The main reason SUSD is my favourite channel is that with your videos I can immerse myself into the games and laugh out loud at how inventive you folks are when presenting them. I did not get the same feeling with the multiple-games format (at least not this time). Corrosion sounds great!
I definitely like this format, kind of reminds me of the early SU&SD "episode" format that hit a couple of game reviews in each video. But I really love your long reviews, I think they're fantastic. So.. I guess both! Thanks to the whole team for what you all do!
I like the format - great stuff. Good to have the option for different formats once in a while. I couldn't help noticing a copy of Pax Pamir on the shelf behind you. Now that is a game I absolutely love and a game I'd love you to review in depth. More people should know about this amazing, complex, beautiful and beguiling game!
I think one of these for every four big reviews would probably be the perfect balance for me! I love the production in the bigger ones too much to see them disappear, but this is refreshing and informative as an occasional treat!
Great Video, Another Banger from tom as always! I'm conflicted, while i do like that you're putting more games in the spotlight, the main reason i watch SU&SD vids are for the skits/sketches/jokes (like the rustling leaves bit). But i do understand the difference between a review and a sketch comedy. Still, its a great vid!
I definitely like this format. 3-min overviews of core mechanics, components, and 2 sentence review is often all I need to see if I'd be willing to try a game, or let it pass.
Yes, this format works for me. It doesn't need to be perfect. You know your stuff, and you are talented and funny. That will always win the day .... or my eyes for 14 minutes.
I actually really love this format. The big production videos are always great, but it's nice to sometimes find out about a game I hadn't heard of before and a "is it good or not?" perspective. Tom's great at this too.
Big fan of this format! I think it actually helps with the hype I typically feel when watching a review about one specific game, where I fall in love and want to buy it by the end. Having smaller reviews makes me compare them in my head and actually think through what I would enjoy about any one of them.
I enjoy the deep dive into certain board games, but having the occasional video where you briefly mention great games that didn't quite graduate to full video treatment is lovely.
I love this style of video! Any chance to see you guys talk over multiple games in one video is an immediate 11/10 and a click from me. Knowing its less stressful for you to produce is icing on the cake!
This format slaps. A handful of big feature videos and these round-ups (as well as the few livestream vods) would be my favorite programming, honestly.
I actually like this format for shorter games/edition updates. It allows you to get through more games and it still gives us a look into the wider world of board gaming. I don't know how else to put it, but I wouldn't mind seeing more episodes like this.
Great idea for a format! It gives us a look at some of the games that you enjoyed and would recommend but may not have enough material in them to fill a standalone goof-filled review. And it's also good for you all since (I would assume) these roundups require less work, and thus, less stress for you! It's a win-win! And this could easily be a recurring format, too!
Loved this vid, but also always look forward to your very specific sense of humor and creativity shining through on bigger productions. Please don't abandon the weird stuff if you can help it!
I think this is a good format, and gives a lot of bang for my non-existent buck. I'd still like to see videos in the old format, as they are honestly masterpieces and it would be a shame to lose that. Ultimately, you can only keep putting stuff out if you are happy making it, so it should really be about what's the best fit for YOU, young master Tomling.
Hopefully there's a place for both types of reviews because I really appreciate this sort of round up video, but Tom's full reviews have a special place in my heart and I love them to death.
Love this format! While I greatly enjoy the deep dives, I equally love to just know if a game is going to be right for me. This quick roundup taught me exactly which of these games I should start hunting for and which are best left for other groups. Would love to see more videos like this!
Great vid. Helps me sift through games I probably would have picked up and not liked, as well as find those golden nuggets I'd otherwise pass over. Thanks!
Big fan of this format! Good change of pace when mixed with the long form reviews, especially since my style of board games are the smaller, quirkier titles that might get overlooked! Can’t wait for more recommendations!
Faster and looser is cool, but that might be hard to gauge. I do think it is more exciting when a game gets a deep dive instead of a rapid fire with a few involved. Sometimes that does make sense, not sure these would have warranted full videos.. but that makes it harder to judge! Also, props on that shelf.
This is actually a nice breezy alternative to your longer idiosyncratic in-depth reviews as well as a useful way to get more opinions from SU&SD on a much wider selection of games.
Picked up Rustling Leaves after watching this review and I’m glad I did. We love spatial puzzle games like Uwe Rosenberg’s polyomino series, and this game brought a similar experience in a travel-sized box. Thanks for the tip, Tom!
fan of this format for sure. it would be cool if you could do a video showcasing all the games you currently have sat idle, waiting to be reviewed, or might not get reviewed, so we could comment on which wed like to see most.
I love this video format, covering a few smaller hidden gems in one video. Can't wait for more!
Yes please!
Absolutely agree. Feels like a very nice addition to the more indept videos.
Agreed! This is a great way to show off great games that just couldn't get a big vid
Tom is an amazing find for the channel! I am reminded of that in every video he makes.
As a lover of indie games in the video game space, and weird little gems in general, this format absolutely fills my heart with joy. I hope you keep doing the big ones too, just make them a special treat, a now and then flavor :)
Great taste on the portrait of Kim Kitsuragi in the back of shot Tom, Disco Elysium is a brilliant game.
e;fb: I just wanted to add this, I deeply love DE and I was so happy to see Kim up there.
Kim!
I love having multiple reviewer so that we can get different things. A review roundup is really nice to have every once in awhile.
I really like these kind of round up reviews, as well as the ones you've done on the podcast. Lots of good games out there that don't lend themselves to elaborate full scale reviews.
That's a great point. Makes this format not just a "nice to have" but almost a "necessary".
I love this style, it's great to see some good games that wouldn't necessarily get their own dedicated review!
Love this format as long as it doesn't replace the regular in depth reviews that SUSD is famous for. One of these a month would be awesome 👍
As always, "Keep on board games and roll the dice for eternity."
Thanks, I am eternity!
Bravo, Tom!
Congratulations! You just broke the record on board game reviews you established 2 weeks ago!!
I think these will be good for every now and then. Being able to see more games is nice, yet more in-depth reviews still have their place. Just got my copy of Oath largely based on Tom's review!
Love your Kim Kitsuragi picture in the background. Very Disco.
PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE do more of these. I love this format for quick hits or simple reviews. Just a fantastic complement to your regular reviews.
I definitely like this format, kind of reminds me of the early SU&SD "episode" format that hit a couple of game reviews in each video. But I really love your long reviews, I think they're fantastic. So.. I guess both! Thanks to the whole team for what you all do!
I enjoyed the video. It is a nice addition to your other, more polished formats.
YUP DO IT
please
I think one of these for every four big reviews would probably be the perfect balance for me! I love the production in the bigger ones too much to see them disappear, but this is refreshing and informative as an occasional treat!
Yes. Literally any and all content is welcome as long as it is reviewing board games
Great Video, Another Banger from tom as always! A short review is better than no review! I would keep watching these for sure
This format is awesome. I wouldn't want it to replace the big reviews, but more of your reviews are always appreciated.
Awesome format!
I love this format as well. Please add more of these into the mix.
I definitely like this format. 3-min overviews of core mechanics, components, and 2 sentence review is often all I need to see if I'd be willing to try a game, or let it pass.
Great work, Tom! Keep it up!
Love this format! It is such a great way to get several games in one video with just enough info to get us interested!
Love Rustling leaves, can't even stop playing haha. Got it also on the phone for when I cannot take the thing along.
Yes, this format works for me. It doesn't need to be perfect. You know your stuff, and you are talented and funny. That will always win the day .... or my eyes for 14 minutes.
Yes. I like this format. My main reason for coming to SU&SD is to find out about new games, and often a 3m summary is all I need!
Great stuff. More please. You guys provide great games coverage and getting extra content more than offsets the shift in format to accommodate it
I want to say something my father never said to me: Tom, I love you. This is great. Keep doing what you're doing.
Excellent format! Do more of these! More Tom!
I really liked this format, it was just as polished and I really enjoyed seeing some smaller games in quick successions!
I actually really love this format. The big production videos are always great, but it's nice to sometimes find out about a game I hadn't heard of before and a "is it good or not?" perspective. Tom's great at this too.

That pear playing card painting is perfection.
Yes, I like this format. Please do more.
Great alternative format to get more content from you guys. I'm all for it!
Great format. Lets have more of these, please!
this type of video is something that the channel needs imo
I do like these as a little flavor break and a chance to see more games. Definitely worth doing again.
With so many boardgames in the world, the small format gives a chance to see more of the wonderful world
This format slaps. A handful of big feature videos and these round-ups (as well as the few livestream vods) would be my favorite programming, honestly.
I definitely like the idea of this format. Not sure it's hit the money yet, but I love you highlighting a few games at once.
Not only did I love this format, but I'm totally on board with every Quad video ending in Button Shy games. You have GOT to try Antinomy: Solo Flare.
I actually like this format for shorter games/edition updates. It allows you to get through more games and it still gives us a look into the wider world of board gaming. I don't know how else to put it, but I wouldn't mind seeing more episodes like this.
Love the format! Would definitely enjoy more like this.
I like this format and the little looks into multiple games
Yes please. More of this. This format was great for me. Also I really appreciated the mean joke, it made me thoroughly chuckle.
I loved this quickfire take on games, there are so many out there, and I love your takes on all of them, so the more the merrier.
I love this format and also the longer formats! Do whatever you enjoy, its fun and great
Loved this vid, but also always look forward to your very specific sense of humor and creativity shining through on bigger productions. Please don't abandon the weird stuff if you can help it!
I really liked the quick and off the cuff format of this video. I'd love anything that gets me more reviews from you guys 👍🏻
I think this is a good format, and gives a lot of bang for my non-existent buck. Please keep this format around!
This is still very high quality, and being able to do lightning round episodes means more coverage of great games :)
Love this format!
More please!
This was definitely good to watch
More of these please, and keep up the good work.👍
Always love a good pocket game to bring everywhere.
I do indeed enjoy this round up. I hope there will be more.
Great vid. Helps me sift through games I probably would have picked up and not liked, as well as find those golden nuggets I'd otherwise pass over. Thanks!

I saw Oath! Now I am compelled to watch one of Tom's best reviews again
Great Western trail looks awesomely good. Think this is right up my alley.
Kim Kitsuragi portrait in the background - confirmed great taste in games and best boys.
This is actually a nice breezy alternative to your longer idiosyncratic in-depth reviews as well as a useful way to get more opinions from SU&SD on a much wider selection of games.
Always like to see these kinds of quick, informative takes Tom!
I like this format! More please!
Love the format too, please keep ‘em coming!
Paying my respects to my dear friend and amazing investigator, the Lieutenant Kim Katsuragi.
Good video! Happy to see more of these.
Really enjoyed this format - makes a refreshing change
I'll happily watch every one of these, great way to showcase a few little gems. Similar to the cracking 10 Oink games 👌
Love the round up. Great way to see more games that SUASD are enjoying
This was a fun buffet, and I'll happily watch videos with a similar format
Picked up Rustling Leaves after watching this review and I’m glad I did. We love spatial puzzle games like Uwe Rosenberg’s polyomino series, and this game brought a similar experience in a travel-sized box. Thanks for the tip, Tom!
Love this format! Would also enjoy seeing games with fast playthroughs (like the button shys) getting a review/play in this style.
Yes, definitely keep doing these!
Fun format to knock out a bunch of quick reviews.
Yes please. Do more of these!
Love this format, I find it very helpful
This is great, anything that gets more reviews out (and doesn't lose that SUSD charm) is a plus in my book.
Great job Tom! I look forward to more of these.
Really like this format! Nice chill video packed full of good board games! I definitely would like this to become a series.
I really liked the format as a way of getting to more games. I think it works well alongside for the more in depth reviews 🙂👍
I love your WIlmot's Warehouse cube and your framed picture of Kim Kitsuragi
Absolutely love this format, things are pacy and interesting and I get to hear about games I wouldn't otherwise! Great stuff.
fan of this format for sure.
it would be cool if you could do a video showcasing all the games you currently have sat idle, waiting to be reviewed, or might not get reviewed, so we could comment on which wed like to see most.
I like the format. It helps me learn/think little games to take a closer look at later
This was an absolute delight! I really like this format. More fun games for my wishlist!
