    I found I didn't need to disassemble as much as you showed just to replace the impeller motor.
    I think you only need to remove the kick plate and pull the dishwasher out (and of course turn off the power and water to be safe!)
    I didn't need to remove the front of the door or the side panels or the sump. The impeller motor just needs to be unplugged and it twists off.

    This video showed my problem exactly. Impeller fell right out so clearly this was the problem. I can’t get this part, all I could find was out of stock so I used epoxy to glue it together (“JB Weld” two part epoxy good for 550F). Also had to replace the inner C-tube as it had split at the bottom. Thanks!

    Hi, Scott, the soothing-voiced Fix-it Guy. I have a SHEM63W52N/20. Quit working after 1.5 yrs. After various fixes, I've now settled on circulation motor. Ordered a new one (12008381) and have it ready to swap out by using your video. But I'm confused about impeller. I can't figure out if impeller should be part of, or attached to, circulation motor? I don't see an impeller on new part, so I'm wondering if I need to somehow glue old impeller? I thought that as long as I was going to the trouble of replacing the motor, I would ck out price of impeller (kit?) and do that as well, but it doesn't seem like, for this newer model, there is such a thing? Please forgive me if it will become obvious once I take apart; I just hate to go to all the trouble, only to find out I should have included impeller purchase somehow in repair. I should say that I did previously clean out impeller (found a small amount of pet hair and a bit of debris) and reran dishwasher, but didn't help.

      @@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel … TY so much. I really appreciate your response. I swapped out motor and - voila! - dishes are still dirty. Sigh. It was such an arduous project for me, but I never could have done it without your video. Even so, there were many differences bt the model you showed and my model. I don’t know what I’m going to do now, but I’ve learned from my multiple attempts to repair this Bosch that, yes, I can do it; but, no, I don’t want to do it again. 😣I’ll be checking out your website re a remote consult, IF I don’t take a sledgehammer to this DW in the meantime.

    Hi great video..I have a very similar dishwasher to the one you're working on. But mine will not draw any water..It cycles as normal and sounds like the pump is trying .it would sometimes wash the dishes properly then all of a sudden not ..does this sound like it could be the impeller or does it sound like it could be another fault?

    My impeller seems to be bound up with no obstructions in the drain area. I’m also getting a buzzing noise and standing in the water in the bottom of my SHV4303UC. Is the impeller the likely culprit? I tried running it after draining all the water and it’s getting no water into the system.

    Can't believe how much they want for this "kit" ...$140 CAN= ouch. Anyways, the video is awesome and easy to follow. All seems to be working (after a few tense moments) : the only thing extra I would add is when you get it all back together your dishwasher might still think it's on "rinse" and just sits there until you cancel that cycle and do a "reset". :-)

    I have three parts that fell out while fixing it and now I don't know where they go back! A red plastic rod, a polystyrene disc with a hole in the centre and a 15cm grey plastic piece with a thimble shape at one end, a cross shape in the middle and it opens out in a V at the other end. I think I can see the red rod on the video, so I'm alright for that, but not idea about the other two!

    • @dawny_otter
      @dawny_otter 5 лет назад

      I figured out that the grey piece linked into the red plastic rod. It's all reassembled now and I ran it on a quick cycle just to see if it worked before I put all the panels back on. Everything seems to be in order, fingers crossed! Thank you for making this video, Scott. I'd have had to scrap the machine otherwise! Also, I had a repairman look at it a few weeks ago and he said it would cost too much to fix, it's feels good to have completed this because it wasn't easy!

    Is it possible to remove the whole motor/impeller/lower pump housing without removing the sump housing/upper pump housing
    (after disengaging the locking tab and rotating the whole motor assembly clockwise) ?

    • @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel
      @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel  6 лет назад

      I think you can do it.
      Just have to remove the four screws in the four corners of the dishwasher that connect the dishwasher frame to the plastic blower assembly.
      Then when you remove the motor and impeller housing by twisting it you should have room to be able to pull the motor out.
      Are usually have to separateThe upper frame from the lower plastic housing by about 5 inches to slide the motor out.

    • @brightboydesigns8325
      @brightboydesigns8325 6 лет назад

      Thanks for the quick response. The only thing that might foil this plan is if the motor starter capacitor bracket hits the underside of the tub floor before the motor/impeller housing disengages.

    • @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel
      @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel  6 лет назад
