Dogs are good when you have a big house with a backyard and it lives there.. Even cats need so many attention. Those ants, are easy and no need to nurse. Just give some food that's all and funny.

I find this interesting, it kind of makes me want to possibly get my own ant farm in the future, but I don’t trust myself to not accidentally push it over and release all the ants inside.
They really will, when I lived in Florida I kicked over a fire ant hill near my driveway, they literally came out of the grass and onto the cement where I was standing and climbed up my shoe and ankle and started biting me, it burned

What if you have an ant tunnel that connects to the outside world to help with ant colony expansions? They're probably going to be affected by a lot more wildlife and not living in a controlled environment, but I can imagine it'd be cool to see how far the workers can go and what they bring back for food/how they defend themselves from other predators. It'd be like how beekeepers care for their bees, while being able to collect honey/pollen that bees would have gotten from flowers miles away. ^^

is it love if you keep so many beings in captivity ? In your "playground" ? I am sad for every ant or insect, bird, fish kept in cage/box/glass bowl just for amusement of their "owner".
Most terrifying are birds in cage. Birds with wings in cage. In captivity. Symbol of freedom for so many kept in cage for no other purpose than amusement or decoration.
