    Back in another time I raced my brand new '84 XR-250R (First year with dual carbs, front disk, all new) in the OCCRA for a couple years.
    I was the only four stroke surrounded by YZ's, RM's, etc. (no rules on displacement yet)
    That thing was a woods weapon!
    Still have it.
    Wish I was there riding with you, Adam.
    That looks hellafun 😎

      Had an 86” XL250R with dual carbs 4 valve head and that was an awesome dual sport bike. A little heavy but man, I miss that bike. It only had 1700 miles when I got it and was really clean. Should have kept it 😢

    Depends on what you intend to do with it. If you intend to trailer it to a race track maybe. If you intend to have an adventure without having to have a tow rig you would probably be better served with an air cooled dual purpose with a fairly low seat height.

    • @jgrc73
      @jgrc73 6 месяцев назад

      That’s assuming one wants low seat height and soft suspension. Im relatively tiny but low seats are the worst for my riding comfort and true bike control. This little guy is made to scream past heavy ponderous adv build bikes with a backpack a camelbak, and a tank of gas. I already love my crf250r for trails and woods this is just even better. 👍🏻❤
      Just a great bike and I want one 😩😂🤪

    They make this bike with lights and a plate carrier, so you can get it registered for public road use. All the RX models are like this. I dont actually know where you found that RX without the road legal setup. Maybe US market only, I'm from EU

    The 250X had an offroad tuned chassis, wide ratio box and a bunch of other things that made it a great enduro/trail bike. The RX is a motocross bike with a fat tank. It's an embarrasment to Honda when KTM's and YZFX are "fit for purpose".

    This is just a motocross bike with larger tank they didn’t bother with a heavier flywheel so it stalls plenty if you attempt some real hard enduro.

      If you want a good all around bike get a dual sport bike that you can get plated to ride both on and off road that comes with a headlight. Here in the US, getting a bike plated is desired so you can go between trails with ease and do it legally.
