Hey man nice vid. I'm digging this format.
Hi BWX, thanks for the note and for sounding off. We value feedback from our U.S. audience.
Back in another time I raced my brand new '84 XR-250R (First year with dual carbs, front disk, all new) in the OCCRA for a couple years.
I was the only four stroke surrounded by YZ's, RM's, etc. (no rules on displacement yet)
That thing was a woods weapon!
Still have it.
Wish I was there riding with you, Adam.
That looks hellafun 😎
Had an 86” XL250R with dual carbs 4 valve head and that was an awesome dual sport bike. A little heavy but man, I miss that bike. It only had 1700 miles when I got it and was really clean. Should have kept it 😢
I really respect Adam's willingness to confess to being such a goon of a rider because let's be honest we're all gonna try and make that hill without downshifting at some point
Top end rebuild ever 15hr are they fucking nuts that's a deal breaker for me.
Same thing was said for the 250X and I went for 10 years without changing anything in the engine.
Yeah, OEM suggested maintenance schedules are obnoxious. Don’t follow that BS
This is my favorite 250rx review out there! I have watched it a few times.
Depends on what you intend to do with it. If you intend to trailer it to a race track maybe. If you intend to have an adventure without having to have a tow rig you would probably be better served with an air cooled dual purpose with a fairly low seat height.
That’s assuming one wants low seat height and soft suspension. Im relatively tiny but low seats are the worst for my riding comfort and true bike control. This little guy is made to scream past heavy ponderous adv build bikes with a backpack a camelbak, and a tank of gas. I already love my crf250r for trails and woods this is just even better. 👍🏻❤
Just a great bike and I want one 😩😂🤪
This guy is getting better at being on camera.
Ride for life! 💯 -NY
I have a 2023 CRF450RX in Europe… it’s road legal. Has a fan, kickstand, lights and indicators!
It's called CRF450RL right? Or different? Or just different name?
Had a 02”KTM 300 exc and went 300 hours on the oem top end.
The 2020 CRF250RX cranks out 37.3. Hp. The 2019 CRF250RX cranks out 43.5 hp. The 2019 is a monster 💀
The 2023-2024 is even better.
I had a 2019 and it wat gutless until your almost on the rev limiter
@@Turtlefarm I know that's true. It's actually my son's bike. Personally, I've been on an XR650R since they came out and this little 250 feels so light and powerful (to me).
Nope, the '19-21's are weak. I have a '22 and there is no comparison up AND down the rev range. Please Honda Please put in a 6 speed and fix the fork clunk!!
@@johndunn9819 I’m trying to
Learn to wheelie mine.. it feels huge and like I’m gonna twist the throttle and end up flat on my back lol.. it’s scary at times… bet the 450 has too much power… is almost unusable on a trail 😂 I’m glad I got the 250 mines a 2024 model .
15hrs! What
Great review, do you feel the need to put a steering stabilizer on the bike?
Want Yamaha too make a new aluminum frame WR200. With a hydraulic clutch and a carb. Electric start! Off road tuned kyb’s and that would be a woods weapon. Maybe I’m the YZ125X chassis.🤔😊
Look up Fantic bikes. It’s basically a a YZ300X with elec start, kickstand and headlight.
Superb review. I can’t disagree with you.
Thanks for filming this.
They make this bike with lights and a plate carrier, so you can get it registered for public road use. All the RX models are like this. I dont actually know where you found that RX without the road legal setup. Maybe US market only, I'm from EU
The 250X had an offroad tuned chassis, wide ratio box and a bunch of other things that made it a great enduro/trail bike. The RX is a motocross bike with a fat tank. It's an embarrasment to Honda when KTM's and YZFX are "fit for purpose".
I had my 250X for almost 10 years and bought a brand new RX250, its better in every single way.
@@TheNaturalizationActForOurPost are you saying the x is better or the rx?
@@jamespreston6725 rx 100%
Also the 250X was from the 250R the same way the 250RX was from the current generation R, not sure what you mean. The 23 RX is the same formula.
Are those three things you listed in the maintenance section all you need to do to the bike to keep it nice and running for years?
The best all rounder 250
Switch the 13 tooth sprocket for a 14 tooth it rips
on my 2023 I went to a 48T in the rear and it really balanced the power delivery as well (still stock 13t up front)
This is just a motocross bike with larger tank they didn’t bother with a heavier flywheel so it stalls plenty if you attempt some real hard enduro.
In Spain we get a 300cc version of this bike.
What?!?!?! That’s sick!!!!
@@ETXenduro yes it is from red moto
Thank you for this review
You're welcome. Thanks for tuning-in and sounding off.
I need a bike to ride in africa, Conditions are desert/sand dunes and some paved roads. I am completely lost on which bike for these Conditions
If you want a good all around bike get a dual sport bike that you can get plated to ride both on and off road that comes with a headlight. Here in the US, getting a bike plated is desired so you can go between trails with ease and do it legally.
This good for adult beginners?
Honda is full of shit with that maintenance schedule. I raced xc2 and xc1 on a Honda in the gncc series and we would change the oil/air filter every race, chain every two and piston you could get half the season on
Timing chain?
Best do it all Bike is KTM 250xc moto wooods anything super versatile!!
Just for the Headline - LOL
Yeah no
Nope! 😂 is it street legal?
You want your “dirt” bike to be street legal… Why? In any case, just add lights…
@@ATLJB86 because my local governing body requires bikes to be street legal to race in enduros because most of them use a public road at some point
@@patw9175 then add lights
Honda, Hurry up with Electric bike. The future is now.
Nah
Fucking love my Tesla ! I wish they would make motorcycles!
