use his f3 string mixups, his f3 is incredibly good and launches even on ch. he also has a guaranteed combo if the f3 doesnt hit but his followup punches. and df 4,3 is a i16 hitconfirmable mid high string with good range aswell which also has a mid mid option
you can't block, you can't push buttons, you can't sidestep because everything tracks you can't duck and you can't stand so what are you supposed to do
One thing worth considering is that Fahk's low pokes are a bit lackluster until you get to the slower ones. The fast ones are negative on hit, don't high crush, and d4 is -15 on block. Also the better you know Fahk the better you can react to his dumb strings. TMM is right that there's no true option selects but there are responses that deal with multiple options. Knowing those and recognizing the strings helps.
D4 is -16 on block.. Speaking of df3.. -2 on hit is alright for characters with normal step, but you don't wanna be at -2 with no pushback with fahkumram

That running knee was a MID the whole time?! I can't believe I've been fighting this monstrocity with my Josie.... After seeing this rundown. I have to liken Fahk to Juggernaut. You really don't want to let fakh to do anything or have a chance to start whipping out moves because if he builds any momentum, he's gonna be almost impossible to stop.
What does Bryan have that Fahkumram doesn't? They get compared a lot and it seems like Fahk has a better or equivalent of nearly every core tool Bryan has, and then more on top of that.
@Ace Bryan does have a 14f launcher but it's hard to use to actually get the 14f launch because it requires an input, where as Fahks is easy and consistent at 15f. Bryan's can be buffered though. Fahks 14f punish for 50 damage isn't anything to scoff at either when it's again easier and farther ranged than Bryan's launcher. Taunt is cool and unique and part of why I main Bryan. But honestly Fahks block breaking attacks serve a very similar purpose while also putting out a hitbox rather than being vulnerable. So in essence Fahk kind of has a taunt but trades true confirms for + frames and a hitbox. Bryan also seems to have a slightly better side step, but his backdash definitely isn't as good so again their movement strength is pretty similar overall. Idk I just can't think of any major reason for a top Bryan player to not just use Fahk over Bryan in most matchups which is very sad. He's easier, stronger, and seems to have stolen most of Bryan's key tools and attributes.
@Ace It's very sad to me because I like Bryan and how he plays better, and I think that he is a lot more unique and interesting, and I would have loved to see him played more at top level. But for high level players and top players they have to pick the optimal stuff to win and Fahk is most certainly better. Besides incredibly technically difficult stuff like taunt jet upper and a 14f launcher over a 50dmg punish, really don't see any other notable advantages Bryan has over Fahk. It wouldn't be so bad if Fahk was just a different top tier like Akuma, but the fact he steals so much from Bryan just feels like he essentially replaces him rather than being an alternate version with his unique quirks. If instead he was super short like an actual Tai fighter, give him a similar hitbox and range to Xiaoyu, but keep the massive damage and plus frames, keep everything else the same. That alone would make him his own thing and leave Bryan his niche. But instead Fahk is for some reason the tallest character in the game being from one of the shortest countries by a large margin, and is completely dominating Bryan's niche while having unique busted stuff Bryan could only dream of.
I was hoping you'd go more in depth, for example how to get out of pressure. Im in purple ranks and lately i run into king feng and hwoarangs who never stop pressing. Fahks moves are so slow to start up i get ran all over. People don't just stand there and let you do this stuff.
That command throw used to have a stupidly short break window. I don't know if they normalized it or if they just extended it but otherwise left it tighter than usual.

df 3 isnt very good its quite slow start up usually for round ending and df 4 on hit is minus 5 so those lows are really weak imo but use them sparingly imo
Use d3 into his extension is probably his best round ender. Most people will press after the first hit at the end the round he doesn’t really have good lows in general so using a low to end the round isn’t the best idea. Mostly whiff punishing or standing 3 r good for close out
Fahkumram.does have weaknesses, horrible step, no defensive options, bad crushing moves, lows -13 and above means he can be counter picked by chars who have i13 launcher from full crouch.. Leroy on the other hand has no weaknesses, i also think that Jin, devil Jin, and Feng are more complete than fahkumram not necessary stronger
wowww 😳 i've never learned the matchup cos I'm not learning it (have one-and done'd every fahk I've ever matched with) but seeing it all laid out like this is just absurd.... every move is the best of its kind in the game and he has everything. this is truly a game ruining character
