Thank you. It's nice hearing a RUclipsrs talking truth for once. That's how we built compassion for each other. Can you talk about Nigeria's population growth please. Some sources say it's expected to surpass the USA in about 25years. The population growth in SA, Namibia and Botswana is 2.4 births and decreasing. This means that these countries will not want immigrants especially from countries with higher fertility rates. Even with the best development strategies, a country with high birthrates can't keep up with the frustrature development and it will use its own people as cheap labour, thus no need to pay competitive salaries. Countries in this predicament also include Congo and Ethiopia.
@Tt-iu4vk You make an excellent point. I have touched on the threat of Nigeria's birthrate as soundbites on our X page. I will look into the feasibility of creating a video for RUclips in the near future. Thanks!
Corruption and embezzlement are NOT the MAIN problem. You can still have progress with Corruption. The problem is that Nigeria is practicing an economic system that hinders advancement and nationalizes poverty. Nigeria is practising the opposite of the system in Advanced countries. Nigeria is a massive country that is being run like a small country, thereby stifling progress. If the US is run like Nigeria, it would also be a failed State like Nigeria. The system Nigeria is practising allows Corruption and embezzlement on a national scale, so they don't want to restructure it. Even Governors who are not corrupt have no idea what they should be doing. So, another problem is cluelessness of leadership. They don't know what they are supposed to do. I don’t want to advertise here what they are doing, and what they should be doing. But you are not wrong that Corruption has a strangle hold on Nigeria. Economic hardship means that the justice system can be bought. So, a politician like Yahya Bello who embezzled State's funds cannot be brought to justice. So, Nigeria has become a lawless State because of Corruption. But corruption is not the main problem; it is the economic system.
I might say, it’s very rare to find a truthful, humble and straight to the point Nigerian like the person in the video. If you prefer humility then be humble but how does their pride affect you?
What a concise comparison. That is why Nigerians who manage to secure visas to overseas go to churches or mosques to give testimonies. Corruption amongst our leaders over the year is the main problems in Nigeria to be honest. And that is why stealing of our oil which is our main revenue generating source cannot be eradicated easily because the money from the oil is not being utilized by our leaders in authorities properly since independence.

No need for sorry bcos nobody is truely a Nigerian, Nigeria is mainly a british company. U should be sorry bcos Africa and Africans are far backward than other race and continents
Nigerians are 55% of west Africans, about 20% of black Africans. So don't be surprise seeing Nigerians everywhere,smaller countries have immigrants everywhere aswell,when you compare population ratio with those traveling and living outside, Nigerians won't make top 7 on the continent... 90% plus Nigerians are still living in Nigeria and many will still prefer to live and die in Nigeria ... People travel for various reasons and Nigerians aren't different,infact majority of those who are traveling have the means to survive in Nigeria ,I know a Nigerian who sold his car one of his building to travel to the UK, he return after 15 month regretting,he is now back to his poultry farming business...
@kabifest8897 A very well-thought-out submission. However, based on the average, Nigerians travel more. NOI polls revealed that 6 in 10 Nigerians confirmed that they had a relative living abroad. There are different types of immigrants. Even Americans are listed as citizens who leave their countries, but you can't equate or group all leavers under the same category. An average American, British, or South African would leave their countries legally. Most of the time, it will be for an experience-a short spell overseas/abroad. However, when an average Nigerian leaves their country, they often do so illegally, breaking and twisting immigration laws, with no intention of returning. Instead, they would establish communities in a foreign land and produce first- and second-generation descendants who would then develop an alternate culture from their host country. We can pretend all we want, but data don't lie. Once again, thanks for a brilliant submission.
@@BantuCityDiariesNigerians aren't the country with the most immigrants outside the land when you compare population ratio, even before independent Nigerians were traveling, when you talking about people migrating using illegal routes , Nigerians still don't come top when you compare your numbers ... Nigerians being 50% plus of west Africans don't even make up of 30% of west Africans using Libya illegal route to Europe .. Most of your cost and standard of living comparisons are based on a steep devaluation of the Naira that happen within the last 9 years but particularly last year but Nigerians have been emigrating since the 70s so it can’t be the reason.Nigerians like Indians,Chinese,Lebanese are adventurous people who are opportunity seekers.Also because of the huge population the opportunities at home are limited and competitive so a lot decide to venture out,mostly making a success wherever they go notwithstanding the exaggerated talk of crimes by a few.
Keep on lying to yourself, but you re guaranteed nothing will change if admitting the truth is so difficult, calling adventurous or explorers as if you Nigerians just like to do,they re not seeking greener pastures, you know very well that's a lie.

If Buhari took the offer of Macron, agreed with Ouattara and changed the Naira to ECO, which is pegged to the Euro, this today crisis could have been averted and even put Nigeria in the bracket of a trillion $ economy. Unfortunately, African pride has its way and is killing us. The fallacy of having your currency while still depending on the $ for everything. Pathetic!!!
While the cost of living seems higher for Nigerians living in Nigeria, if you compare the cost of living in Nigeria with other African countries, things are way cheaper in Nigeria for foreiners coming in with hard currencies. This is so because among many other reasons, the Nigerian currency is useless and the country is a "NO GO ZONE" for tourism because of all the problems mentioned in the video .
Why are Chinese immigrants everywhere in the world, they even have a community in Lagos “China town” and allover Nigeria. Lots of Chinese are allover Africa, and nobody is complaining about it. Now which country in Africa, can compare to the economy or infrastructure of China. South Africa has the highest unemployment, crime, grape, H👁️V, etc just like other African countries all have various issues, in different degrees. The countries in Africa that are properly managed to a greater extent in comparison are North African countries. The rulers in West, East and Southern Africa, are all inept greedy and highly corrupt.
@joye5761 Remember, Taiwan is not the People's Republic of China. There are no Taiwanese anywhere in Africa looking for employment. Overall, I agree with some things you wrote there.
@@BantuCityDiariesI didn’t indicate or mention “Taiwan”, I said China specifically. I do not live in Nigeria or Africa, but I can humbly say I have visited several countries within and outside the continent, to know the above. Apart from North Africa, all other countries in the continent are just that.
From this information, I can see where the problem is and my advice to Africans as a whole is, we people on the ground, we must be honest to ourselves and our countries because we're the ones who suffer the most. We must stop promoting corruption and voting for people because we love them when they are only interested in serving and promoting their political agendas.
🎉I am living here today as I watch this video in honesty the present average in Nigeria today is 43 dollars a month. This is under the new government of president Tinubu
Tribalism have divided them that's the problem so the leaders have taken advantage on that, look at recently there Government said they should learn the new national Anthem whiles people are there looking for jobs
@user-rr5ui8eo9x Great question! Absolutely fantastic question! As a Nigerian, it saddens me that I am unable to provide a comprehensive response to your insightful question. However, if, by accident, a great Nigerian makes the presidency and first unites the country, within a decade, we could start functioning as a united country. That would make it easier to unseat failing presidents, governors, and other political heads.
Nigeria just suffered a massive devaluation of its currency. Of course, it will be cheaper and poorer than most other countries. Didn't you learn any thing in school!!! Police officers, professors etc in Nigeria use to earn more than their counterparts in Ivory Coast, Kenya, wtc. But because of the currency devaluation caused by the unification of exchange rates in the country, Nigerian salaries automatically lost value. Could you make this comparison just 3 year ago and arrive at the same conclusion? Stop reeling out Nigeria's woes without giving necessary context. These woes are at worst a short to medium term setback that the country will definitely overcome eventually as long as the govt keeps making the right policies.
@charlesugochukwu9283 I guess you learned nothing in school if you did go to one. The Nigerian police have never earned more than those in Ivory Coast and the other countries mentioned. Furthermore, Nigerians have been running to every well-to-do country in Africa since the 1970s; I guess your devaluation wananbe appeasal fell woefully short. Take those little, meaningless feelings to your bedroom where none would notice, and return when you can maintain objectivity. Just a reminder: you're free to explore other channels that align more with your views. There are channels out there that portray Nigeria and Africa, like Wakanda.
Sad viewing; the population is to big and the size of the economy isn't big enough to support the large population. The leakages via corruption, thinly veiled secession, and a failed culture, do not help matters.
@@BantuCityDiaries Thanks Bro, thanks for the enlightenment. Don't let this video fool you. Nigeria is still massively wealthy. The combined wealth of just 4 wealthy Nigerians can be greater than the wealth of some African countries. Private jets in Nigeria are as common as cars in some African countries. The problem with Nigeria is that looting of the Treasury and embezzlement has become cultural. Also, Nigeria is run like a small country like Ghana, instead of a big country like the US. If the US was run like Nigeria, it too would be like Nigeria. But don't let the video fool you. Most Nigerians don't earn salaries. They are into businesses and most don't pay tax, free water and light even free shop space at times,these analysis at times don't tally. That is why our country is falling down to degrade and in debts as well. I wish things can shape up for Nigerians especially in Nigeria.
Bcuz they are Africa simple and we need unity also so as we can mix-up and become one
@Nsibidiimohtep-pf9gh
Africa is not one and will never be one. I'm Igbo, and I only want to be Igbo. Africa will not consume my ethnic identity. We can collaborate and work as cousins, but never as one country; that would be suicidal.
But also their economy will double....
@Tt-iu4vk
You make an excellent point. I have touched on the threat of Nigeria's birthrate as soundbites on our X page. I will look into the feasibility of creating a video for RUclips in the near future.
Thanks!
Corruption is the problem
(I know Nigeria is full of you but the bad seeds will always spoil the entire country)We need more of you in Africa, especially in Kenya, which is pro development and more welcoming.

This guy isn’t Nigerian. Every country has proud people. Even Somalia has lots of proud people despite its condition. So why are insecure Africans so bothered about Nigerians and their pride? Maybe you should learn to be as confident as the Nigerians. I’m not even Nigerian or West African. But it’s true. Why does their pride bother you so much? If you prefer humility then be humble but how does their pride affect you?
What a concise comparison. That is why Nigerians who manage to secure visas to overseas go to churches or mosques to give testimonies. Corruption amongst our leaders over the year is the main problems in Nigeria to be honest. And that is why stealing of our oil which is our main revenue generating source cannot be eradicated easily because the money from the oil is not being utilized by our leaders in authorities properly since independence.

There are many nuances here, though it sounds appealing at first glance.
Nobody is truely a Nigerian and the day we realise it the better for us
Suffice to say that Nigeria is the most poorly, lawlessnessly, carelessly, unpatriotically, curruptly and unconventionally run country in Africa.

No need for sorry bcos nobody is truely a Nigerian, Nigeria is mainly a british company. U should be sorry bcos Africa and Africans are far backward than other race and continents
Sorry for my brother and sister in Nigeria one love from Kenya .
@kabifest8897
A very well-thought-out submission.

Nigeria needs to work on the population. No point of huge population when technology is the order of the day.
Totally agree!
@udomaduka768
Your points are very valid. Thanks for your contribution.
Keep on lying to yourself, but you re guaranteed nothing will change if admitting the truth is so difficult, calling adventurous or explorers as if you Nigerians just like to do,they re not seeking greener pastures, you know very well that's a lie.
This is very educative and splendid truth put together on Nigeria economy and reasons most of it citizens escaped from the situation in our country migrating (japa syndrome) enmass to other stable economy with greener pastures for them.
Pathetic!!!
Sad...

Great question! Absolutely fantastic question! As a Nigerian, it saddens me that I am unable to provide a comprehensive response to your insightful question. However, if, by accident, a great Nigerian makes the presidency and first unites the country, within a decade, we could start functioning as a united country.
That would make it easier to unseat failing presidents, governors, and other political heads.

am crying already, my salary for a month is 61$
Nigeria just suffered a massive devaluation of its currency.
@charlesugochukwu9283
I guess you learned nothing in school if you did go to one.
