Some companies just can’t do eyeshadow (Fenty still can’t) and don’t seem to care.
I tried Fenty for the first time with the velvet liquid lipstick and was devastated by how even applying as little as possible would slide around onto the skin around my lips! What products does Fenty do well?
A while back i bought tge cream bronzer and cream blushes and those very nice , especially the shades but i hates the highlighter. That was years ago tho@iheartcartoons1786
Considering how quickly those House Lab shadows went on sale, i think a lot of people thought they weren't worth it.
Right, and Sephora didn't even mess around with like 15% or 20% off...they went straight to 50% off like "we need to get rid of these immediately!"

Honestly, I was so glad I watched reviews before purchasing. They were never worth $50/palette and I even passed over them at half price. I’ll stick with the line’s other products (foundation, concealer, powder, blush, bronzer, highlighter). Maybe they will try again with another formula.
Had a House Labs palette about 4 years ago, SO NOT IMPRESSED! Sold that on here actually!
The chaotic "don don don donnnn DUDUDUDUNNN~" at the beginning while you're changing the lights makes me laugh every time.

I bought that green essence palette and used it on my second day to a new job, to pick up the green in my jacket. When I looked in the mirror after a couple of hours’ work I was in shock! The darker green and brown shades that was to give the eye some depth had simply disapeard, and the lighter green shade hade turned into pale blue. It simply looked like I had dusted my eye-lids in a light baby blue shade. I looked like a fright!
Never I use that palette again! 😅
Yeah, sometimes a cheap palette is not worth it no matter how cheap it is, I bought one of those No.7 palettes and think the same, it's rubbish.
Hey Morgan, I’d love it if you could try out and review Lisa Eldridge’s makeup brand! She’s an incredibly famous makeup artist here in the UK and the quality is supposed to be amazing :)

Thank you for doing the sad Naruto music when you talked about that palette. It made me laugh, because I got that palette as a fan of both Colourpop and Naruto. I felt let down. So when the music came on I couldn't help but to laugh because YES!!! It fit so perfectly!!

the house lab palettes look like homage to the mark jacobs palettes. But something went wrong😰
About the Haus Lab palette, I was watching Lipstick Lesbian channel and they’re makeup formulators. Haus Lab eyeshadows are meant for super mature skin because they’re slurries so it doesn’t work like high impact pigment palette so that’s why they’re softer maybe it’s a marketing issue I do wish maybe Lady Gaga should have a tutorial and how it wears on the eye for longer wear. Also you recommended YSL and Tom Ford for the price range but Haus Labs is cruelty free and vegan so some people will prefer that option. Maybe Gaga might reformulate in the future to match those.
Personally I didn’t find the formulas to be for any skin type as the color faded with wear as well to almost nothing. Charlotte tilbury would be a great example of a mature skin friendly formula or Tom Ford!
I actually like the Haus Lab eye palettes. I have mature eyelids. I bought them at half price though and I use them as base colours
I *love* the Palettopoly palette. The colours are such an interesting twist on a rainbow and i haven't had any application issues. I'm not as experienced with application as you are though!
From what I’ve seen, Ace Beaute has consistency issues. Some people get good batches of a palette and others do not so it’s hard to make informed purchasing decisions. 😕
I also love the ace beaute formula and have never experienced any irregularities in the newer formula like paletteopoly. It was one of my favorite palettes last year when it actually came out.
Yes, same! I have it, and I didn't experience any problems, but I haven't used all the shades, and I'm also a beginner 😊
I love the glossier palettes for when I go into the office. It’s an easy look that has depth without being too much for work. And it’s super easy when getting ready at 5am!
It’s definitely great to pick up for quick looks

My worst palette was from Ensley Reign- Cosmic Dreamer…so dull, no pigment. For the price point it was a huge disappointment

Lol, same. I'm not that fancy. I just bought an amazing pallet from urban decay. Huda has some cool ones, but some have wierd undertones. 😊
The packaging of those Glossier shadows is so odd. Why wouldn’t you put 4 shades in there rather than 3 because there’s wasted space and just looks weird and doesn’t make sense at all. 🙄
I have “mature eyelids”, the Haus labs palettes suck. The fallout is the worst.
Agree with the Glossier palette. I got the brown one and when I put it on, it looked like I didn’t have any eyeshadow on. Had to use Charlotte Tilbury quad instead.

The ND shadow/blush palette seems to be a love hate with influencers, but most like it better than the pink one Patrick Ta did..
If you're a color lover and work with vibrant colors on the regular that ace beaute paletteopoly palette is incredible in my opinion. Thats the only one we arent agreeing on I think.
I don’t see myself buying that one, but you’re probably valid because I’ve seen someone I decently trust on here whose liked this palette.

I was expecting your issue with Paletteopoly to be color story not quality! I haven’t used that one in a minute but it was one of my favorites from last year lol. I didn’t have any quality issues with that one but I have had issues with other Ace Beaute mattes so maybe it’s just not consistent? Idk!
Seems I’m in the minority opinion here, but I actually *LOVE* the haus labs palettes - I can already tell I’m going to hit pan on a few of the shades on the warmer toned palette, and just got the other one while it was on sale and really like it too. I think I like them because I’ve been gravitating towards a more subtle eye aesthetic this year, and have found them to be super good for quick looks that have a nice pop of color or some sparkle without being too much. I’ve also noticed the payoff definitely varies with which brush i use, and think that bigger/fluffier blending brushes (I use ones from Trixie cosmetics) have been the best for me and that palette overall

That's so funny - the very reason you dislike the Haus Labs eyeshadow palettes is the very reason I LOVE them. I gladly pay more money for a curated palette of soft, beautiful , easy-to-apply and reliable shadows. THEY ARE GORGEOUS TO ME!!! ;)

I love the Paletteopoly palette, but I tend to prefer a matte formula that stays put and I just buff the edges. I heard mediocre reviews on the newer OE Christmas palettes; last year’s were unstoppable. 😊

Hear me out on the Lawless Lavender… I like it. Mostly bc I LOVE a brand that doesn’t formulate with carmine. A bunch of us are allergic and mainstream brands (ABH, PMG, ND, Huda, even ViseArt, sadly!!!) love to use it in every color, every palette. So I hear you, but thank you Lawless for keeping it vegan (or at least carmine-free)! It’s also talc-free which helps a lot of people out too. Usually I stick to indie bc they prove that gorgeous palettes can be vegan, but it’s nice to have options at Sephora! This was a pretty little everyday palette on my skin tone.

I bought the Tarte Maneater palette and just hate it. Some of the colors have shimmer stamped on top but they are mattes underneath that lack pigmentation. You end up with a muddy look on the eyes. The dark blue and green shimmers don’t have the respective color pigment accompanying the shimmer. They’re just dark and muddy. Half the pallette isn’t usable. I would have ranked it lower!

I own few palettes so I don't have many stories of worse, but UD Naked Heat was the worst makeup I've ever bought. The eyeshadows were hard, dry and very difficult to pick up with a brush or finger. In my country once you buy it is yours. No refund/return. So, it went to the nearest garbage can.
Morgan should start her own beauty brand. With her vision & knowledge she could bring us something unique and beautiful🤷♀️

I saw the ND Love face palette half price off, I totally forgot that it was even released this year with how crazy it's release was. I agree with the Haus labs, it was an overpriced palette
I have some Oden's eye and don't get the hype they had. I don't like the formula at all. It is dry, chalky and gives hardly pigment on my (more mature) eyes. Nope, I prefer Natasha Denona, ABH and Huda over it. Even TooFaced and Urban Decay are better for my preferences.Although that love face palette Of Natasha I didn't buy. I have that other one she released before this one. I just don't like her blush formula that is in it. And I decided I just don't like Natasha Denona blush formula. So every facepalette in future she releases I will skip.

Do you ever try and return these bad palletes?? I have no problem returning bad makeup, especially if it’s super expensive and I’m being robbed!!
I will return bad makeup too! Sephora will flag your account; but Nordstrom doesn’t care!! Target is good w returns too but I feel so guilty bcoz they let you keep it. Chances are I’m going to “bless” someone else w this terrible makeup or throw it away. I’m a miser but somethings I just can’t make work & I can’t afford to take a loss my things are come by very dearly for me. I cannot afford a $65 item collecting dust I feel bad the co’s/sephora has to destroy it & take a loss but you deserve it too bad so sad for putting out a subpar product. Your dollars speak! If we return stuff that sux maybe they will get the idea!! Also what sux is returning stuff drives up the price for the average consumer 😮 😢
I bought the love palette directly from Natasha Denona and was unable to return.the shimmers literally disappeared off the eyelids in seconds.
