My worst product this year was the rare beauty lip oils, which actually hardly have any oil and are just trying to mimic Korean lip stains but with worse lasting power and more drying and more than double the price. I'll be going back to my Romand ones.
I feel 2023 was a good year for me. I didn't get any real bad stuff although I decided to not to buy Natasha Denona blush anymore because I don't prefer the formula. It is not bad but I prefer Hourglass or Charlotte Tilburry over it. And somehow I narrow more and more what I like per brand and what not.
@@lynettefinnigan9540 Hourglass has really nice shades and of the shade you like is available as a mini I would get that. I mini can take ages to finish. That is what I like about the Hourglass holidaypalettes and the Blush and Glow There are 6 mini's in it. You can get years of use out of it if you like all what is in it.
I was watching Tana Mongeau and then turned Morgan Turner on and my husband goes "thank God, going from zero to hero!! Morgan turner is so wholesome" 😂😂❤❤
The Kosas product reminds me of Supergoop's Glow Screen. Some people might like it, but it's literally like covering your entire face in shimmer/fine glitter. I didn't realize just how prominent it was until I was outside in the sun and looked in a mirror. I know you can put makeup over it, but I don't usually like putting foundation where I don't need it...but when you have this stuff on you have to do your whole face!
I used to love the supergoop unseen sunscreen but it started feeling weird and making my foundation peel up. And it was before the exp date and I tried a new container. It's alright on its own.
But we do have to remember skin types as well... sometimes it is just shit products, but sometimes it works for some and not others. I've bought stuff influencers rave about and it's awful, sometimes I have stuff they run down that I find fantastic...but there's a few..like Morgan, who acknowledge that, which is good 👍 so I'm usually happy to consider her recommendations 😊😊😊😊
I definitely needed this video after a really sucky day today. Morgan, you had me rollin' during so many parts of this! 🤣🤣 My fave part was where you were gagging having to apply that Pixi eyeshadow & flashed a pic of that fish. 😂😂 OMG the things you subjected your pretty face to! Thanks so much for entertaining us & looking out for us as always. Happy Holidays! 🎄
It’s nice that you actually suffer through to put the products on your face just so we can see how bad they are, you are a real dedicated beauty guru ❤️
Everything I bought worked well for me...except for the Merit eyeshadow. Brun really didn't show up on me and it made my lids look dry. I'm using it as a primer.
I actually really like how sturdy the tartelette tubing mascara is because sometimes I need a mascara that stays long on occasion, but I do agree it takes a lot to get off. Tho it doesnt last days for me except like maybe some residue sometimes. Personally i like to have it as an option, but i definitely dont recommend it as an everyday thing since it's so potent
I loved this video! I am so excited for your favorites. Also l have a video idea that for each make category like concealer, blush, foundation etc. You compare your least favorite and most favorite 😊
Thanks Morgan!! I love how spicey 🔥 you get in these videos. I appreciate allyour hardwork because over the years you have daved me hundreds of dollars and spaired me hours of frustration. Much love💋💚
Love your channel and this video cracked me up 😂 You mentioned you didn't like Pixi, however, I've found the Pixi Glow Mist setting spray really gives me the dewy and 'glow from within' makeup look I'm after at the moment. I'm curious to know what you think of it.
Morgan I actually like the Makeup forever powder 😁. But you are absolutely right. The packaging is cute. It dispenses the right mix, but maybe not the “perfect” amount and you have a hard time using a big powder brush. Also, it is a finishing powder because it does give you a glow. However, I actually brought it for the glow so I like it over Danessa’s skin tint on my complexion for those “makeup/no makeup days” 🥴
I really like the Pixi setting mist. Other than that I haven’t heard anything about the brand! Hard candy has amazing setting mists and primers. Their lip gloss was nice too. I used their glamouflage foundation for my wedding because it was a dupe for the Estée Lauder Double Wear. I feel like Flower Beauty is a forgotten drugstore brand that has good products across their line!
If you have to use such a light covering of the SPF, it's not giving the the actual level of protection... I think it's better to ditch it for something where you're fine with applying the correct amount. No product is worth compromising on your skin protection level, IMHO. :)
I got the Tarte tubing mascara in my ipsy box recently and I actually really enjoy it! It works great for my lashes (I use it on the top only) and I had zero problems removing it when I wash my face at the end of the day with regular makeup removing facial cleanser. It was a tiny mini tube of it, so I don't know if it's the exact same kind that you included in this video, but I had never tried a tubing mascara before this and I was really happy with how it made my lashes look! I'm sorry it didn't work for you, Morgan! Love your video! :)
I really liked it too and i bought my second tube. It gives a nice feathery effect and doesn't smudge at all. I take it off using my regular double cleanse (micellar water and then face wash) never had any issues.
both the nyx and the kush brow pencil from milk would be perfect for me. the way i do my brows is a light layer of pigment. they’re very thin hair wise but bushy shape wise!
“You can get this at Michael’s” I SCREAMED. I do believe the glitter launches could have been better if they had sold them (esp Patrick Ta) with the appropriate glitter primer or medium to apply on a brush to get the glitter some base for less patchy application. They both look horrid on their own.
OH MY! You describing oily girl mishaps...I've had this issue with so many things. I only have a handful of "glowy" products that I occasionally use. The glow recipe dew drops. And a Dr. Brandt luminness primer. They both work with skin tint, or foundation, even matte foundation. It was a disaster when me, the oily girl used all of the colourpop Pretty Fresh line. Primer, foundation, concealer, and setting spray. Love the foundation and the concealer, but I was soooo oily with the primer and setting spray. So I got rid of the primer and setting spray! Problem solved. 😊
I’m usually pretty good at filtering out things that don’t have a good chance to work for me, but I stumble on the occasional dud. The biggest disappointment this year was the Lisa Eldridge seamless glide eye pencil. It did not set on me and transferred like crazy, and even with loads of priming and faffing around it still was sub par in terms of longevity. So sad because the colour I got was absolutely a dream on my skin tone…
I love the Lys Mascara. I I apply it in zig zag motions, not like you applied here. Reminds me a bit of Bite Beauty Upswing. In contrast i didnt like the Tower 28. It looks good when i apply it freshly opened. But the tube dries out extremely quickly and the mascara smudges everywhere because i have teary eyes. Moving foward I cant use regular mascara anymore, will have to stick to waterproof or tubing. Eitherway, it just goes to show that mascaras perform different on different people.
enjoyed this video! I actually love the tarte tubing mascara. it lengthens my lashes like no tomorrow and super easy to wash off with my cleansing balm haha
I saw another person put the pixi bronzer on her favorite of the year. I agree with you though. I did not like this product. It's kinda slippery and not much pigment or staying power.
Morgan- highly recommend Murad’s Pore Mattifying Sunscreen. It lays great under makeup and it’s good for oily prone skin. But hey, we’re lucky right? Don’t people with oily skin have wrinkles? 😂 I also agree about Bare Minerals foundation. I wanted to like it because I have used their mineral veil for years. But it’s just awful. Your bare skin looks amazing btw!
Hi Morgan! I always watch a little of your video and then stop it to comment on something then go back to start watching it so I wanted to say the way the Lawless primer peeled and reacted on your face is exactly how the Milk makeup hydra grip did me. No matter how little I used or how thinly I spread it or how long I let it sit before applying makeup it peeled like crazy so I was so disappointed. I just wondered if anyone else has that problem
Loved to watch this! Can you please film a full series of different types of products (blush, lips, concealer, etc;) and review all of your favorites and least favorites of 2023? Thank you!
See, I disagree about the tartelette tubing mascara. I was really surprised with how well it worked for me - lengthening and actually gave a decent curl. It didn't smudge on me and I was able to remove it just fine at the end of the day. But I also really like Lancome's Lash Idole and you don't really care for that one either 🤷
Same for the tubing mascara. I really liked it and i tried many mascaras that really are not worth it (huda beauty, too faced, rare beauty..) I didn't try the lancome one do you recommend?
@@aya_y I do like the Lancome Idole, but anecdotally I think that the tartlette tubing may have just dethroned it since I feel like I get better volume and can build more quickly with the tartlette. Plus I do like the advantages of a tubing mascara. I also have to say that I have never paid full price for a Lancome mascara and I probably wouldn't. There's so many times where Ulta has it at 50% off in their 21 days of beauty or some other sale. I like it because it's very lightweight so it's good for holding up a curl and lengthening. I think it's probably one of the better mascaras if you're looking for a no makeup makeup kind of look. If you're looking for volume I have heard that their big Monsieur is better for that. But I haven't tried the Monsieur. I hope that helps! ☺️
You know so much, you look super beautiful, and you're also such a fresh breath of air here, i just love your direct honest opinion Morgan, thank you!!!👍🤩🤩😘😘
$50 for a 6 colour pan palette is not as bad as the $32 for a single glitter thats too chunky to wear and needs other products like glitter glue and a base colour eyeshadow under it anyway!! They were the worst!!
I have never been able to wear bare minerals. I wanted to like the products soooo bad. Over the years, I have just stayed away. All the other products you used today, I haven't tried due to reviews and overall lacking in appeal
Yea the lys mascara was just the gooopiest caked up mascara i have ever tried even after i wiped the brush completely clean after first opening it to see if it was jist happening becaue it was new …. Nope happened every time i tried to use it after first opening it
have you tried the newish MAC studio radiance foundation? tried searching a review from you on it but cant find anything, if you have could you let me know what video
I can’t do without the nyx brow thing, it’s the only thing I’ve found to replace my almost non existent brows, and it lasts ages, I’m never going to use anything else
One of the worst things about tic tok it the number of people who discovered the word "literally". Did it not become obvious in editing? Stop. Just stop.
Morgan, sorry your eyes in today's video are so sad..lol and face looks so painful.... so that your bare skin should be absolutely better than today's base too!
The Makeup Forever powder was not only glowy on me but it left a blue tint on my face! 😫🤣🤣
Mine too!
My worst product this year was the rare beauty lip oils, which actually hardly have any oil and are just trying to mimic Korean lip stains but with worse lasting power and more drying and more than double the price. I'll be going back to my Romand ones.

Morgan the hardest working lady in YT makeup review channels.
Milani tubing only works if you put it over regular mascara verrrrry lightly. It makes regular mascara not smudge

Morgan, sorry your eyes in today's video are so sad..lol and face looks so painful.... so that your bare skin should be absolutely better than today's base too!
Too many products layered of course it will peel
one SPF, one primer and then 1 layer of foundation....pretty standard
it's probably because you are using the same brush for most things, certain products need different types of applicators
Hi! You must do a disclamer also to best makeup. It's also your opinion. Thanks
Isn’t this obvious
You have beautiful skin… you are putting entirely too many competing base products on your face.
