I LOVE Tom Yorke and I LOVE FLEA!!!!! I think it's amazing watching the two of them together on stage. It's like taking the best of two worlds and combining them for one great big awsome world... And btw I like tom's moves.
thanks for that. my mistake. i typed his name into the info last night from memory and copy pasted for the other videos. i'll change it right now. no disrespect intended to Mr. Waronker.
Wow. Joey's on fire in this! Listen to the way he throws in a little roll (or whatever the drumming equivalent of a trill is) on the high hat at 1:10. Amazing.
@WhoTheGreat seriously? Totally unexpected on my end. By the way, can I get the lottery numbers for this weeks powerball? I think you have a knack for predictions ;)
i don't think he's made any formal announcement about radiohead taking a break but it seems that he's going to be pursuing the songs he was writing on his own with a new band consisting of FLEA (of Red Hot Chilli Peppers), Nigel Godrich (produced a lot of Radiohead), Jeremy Waronker (drummer that played for Beck and many others), and Mauro Refresco (an awesome wild card band member)... nobody knows for sure what the future holds for radiohead but thom's new project is pretty amazing!!!
@musime I was at the chicago show on saturday.. it was def sold out. there was a 4 block line just to get into the show. It was worth everything... AMAZING!!!
which is why thom yorke picked...LA for this series of shows? but best wishes to brazil! enjoy hosting such wonderful events as synchronized swimming, badminton, table tennis, and rowing. I'm sure the whole world will be watching :)
first time I actually saw Nigel playing with Thom- really respect the hell out of him - (who wouldn't want to be the "sixth member of Radiohead")- and Flea always rocks- wish I was there-
Yeah but the thing is many people believe muse have written classics to rival radiohead, it just depends on who you ask. Muse are still 10 years or so behind radiohead and matt is about 10 years younger so i think that muse have lots more to come as well. I love all those songs but i still think muse has songs which are skilfully written, while keeping futuristic, exciting and still have some amazing pop hooks combined with riffs and some gorgeous piano playing.
"Playing the album live now in a totally different way"? Really? I was actually impressed with how faithful he was to the album. The difference is they're playing it a little faster and a little harder, but it's mostly straight from the record.
@mikeyskywalker There is nothing new under the sun, right? You make a good point. And hey, if they can repackage it well enough to make it appear to be solely their own, thats kind of impressive on its own, right? :)
This is great, it really doesnt sound THAT much different to the original, just meatier drums and bass...more breaky. This was supposed to be a collaboration to see what could be done, and it turned out pretty neat...
Also, quite notable, David Kelly went on a walk to Harrowdown Hill where he supposedly committed suicide by taking pills and cutting his wrist... But there was a stupidly SMALL amount of blood found at the scene, and no fingerprints on the knife they say he used to cut his wrist... Thom said this was his angriest song, and also I think one of the most literal. That still doesn't make it any less kick-ass, or fun to dance to though :P
This is just a one off band that Thom put together to do some live dates in support of The Eraser. That's Flea of the RHCP. Thom's a live f'n wire, love it!!
@jmill2828er My friends and I made the mistake of standing in the pre-order tickets until they opened the doors. getting into the correct line all the way back in the suburbs made me :( mindblowing show though. I could feel the funk
well lets not overlook the other prodigies. yes this is a thom yorke showcase and he is the center, but i wouldn't go so far as to say he's the one and only genius on stage
you can't compare thom yorke to matt bellamy. they have two completly different personas whilst playing. whoever compares muse to radiohead is crazy. they're absolutely different.
Fair comment but i think there is depth and soul in their songs. Ruled by secrecy, sing for absolution, invincible, showbiz, the whole exogenesis symphony, these all feel extremely soulful to me. I think you cant say they are not soulful just because you dont think so. Im saying that MB does not get enough credit as a songwriter and composer and i think he is on par if not better than TY. I think its obvious that he is better skilled musically in all categories (vocal, guitar, piano).
give me a break man. radiohead is so advanced musically, and each member brings something to the table, but thom is definitely a huge part of why they've employed polyrythmic beats and his voice in unmatched in popular music. sorry, I gave muse a fair listen, but really, has muse been on the cover of Downbeat (a JAZZ magazine)? Did muse make ok computer, kid a, the bends, amnesiac, hail to the thief, pablo honey, or in rainbows? no. none of their albums even approach that. sorry :/
best singer/performer alive who also brings the worlds the best music ever.
I love seeing Flea thumpin' that bass. Thanks for the upload Mr. noPR03LEM.
couldn't get tickets to the show, so THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! it made my day.
wow, never thought i'd see this! my fave funky muso and one of my fave chillaxin muso's... together!! this is freakin sweeeet :)
Me encanta sus pasitos de baile.... y muy buena la musica ademas.
It's my dream seeing all these songs being played live!!! wish I was there :(
Love the bass work!!
Really great, thanks for posting this.
i love this music and this bass!
THANK YOU!
Loving his moves. Like a body moving to the sound waves of the music.
i've waited so long for the day rhcp and radiohead collaborate. i'm one step closer to dying happy
Thanks for the upload ^.^
Totally agree with everything you just said:) BTW, love your username.
Aproveitemos o momento. Feliz Natal.
Amazing!!!!
I LOVE Tom Yorke and I LOVE FLEA!!!!! I think it's amazing watching the two of them together on stage. It's like taking the best of two worlds and combining them for one great big awsome world... And btw I like tom's moves.
best of both worlds. alternative and funk. thom and flea.
This answers the question "What does this group do for Thom?" It liberates him to do something different and obviously fun for him.
thanks for that. my mistake. i typed his name into the info last night from memory and copy pasted for the other videos. i'll change it right now. no disrespect intended to Mr. Waronker.
this bass is beautiful!
@unamericano which interview? I love to read about flea and i'm looking for some interviews with him mentioning his atoms for peace experience
Sweeeeeet! Nice version
O M G ! This is epic.
This is awesome
flea doesn't make it bad, it just adds a new badass element to it. i love the ending.
Yeah, I would actually be devastated!
Wow. Joey's on fire in this! Listen to the way he throws in a little roll (or whatever the drumming equivalent of a trill is) on the high hat at 1:10. Amazing.
MOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
the full concert please??????
@WhoTheGreat seriously? Totally unexpected on my end. By the way, can I get the lottery numbers for this weeks powerball? I think you have a knack for predictions ;)

this is unbelievable!!!! rhcp and radiohead are my two fav bands
just wtf. amazing.
brilliant. didnt know thom and flea were friends. good thing i like both of them both very talented.
Thanks for posting. The guy on the drums is called joey waronker, not jeremy.
the album is thom yorke and nigel godrich only, jonny greenwood contributes on a few songs as well
@musime I was at the chicago show on saturday.. it was def sold out. there was a 4 block line just to get into the show. It was worth everything... AMAZING!!!
aswome!! a complete new band
YES!
awesome
It's from Thom Yorke's solo album, everything you hear was done by Thom on his album. So I suppose it's "Thom Yorke's Band"?
That drowned out guitar at the end gives me chillls.
I had to stop the video because it was just too awesome
too good
which is why thom yorke picked...LA for this series of shows?
but best wishes to brazil! enjoy hosting such wonderful events as synchronized swimming, badminton, table tennis, and rowing. I'm sure the whole world will be watching :)

I can't find the Bass tabs :(
Flea is slapping right ? Can't find the tabs :(
this is making my apple headphones break. love to sea Flea play that bassline.
Get down and boogie, Thom.
loooooooool Thom dancing.. He's got ethusiasm for such a depressed guy.
He's one of my favourite musicians.
Lol fuckin thommmy
He get to do his dance and express himself and no matter how bizzare he is
We will always lobe him
yyeeaaahhhh thom, dance that shit out!! haha love him
Holy s**t. The drums at 4.50....
Phenomenal. It's incredibly tight all the way through, but Flea and Joey from 4:15 onwards are on fire.
wow that was a fucking great performance
@WhoTheGreat Right? That bassline does seem like a nice fit for Flea tho. Not exactly like his funky stuff but bounce-worthy none the less :)
fuck this is AWESOME!!!!
fucking awesome
love Flea slap! one of the best bassist in the whole fucking world!
after 4.38, very well done
Thom Yorke and Flea? O_o
NOW I've seen everything.
funky!
the singer needs a little more volume, but his moves are very good ^^
And i have the feeling i miss something, Lighting is pro too
"Playing the album live now in a totally different way"? Really? I was actually impressed with how faithful he was to the album. The difference is they're playing it a little faster and a little harder, but it's mostly straight from the record.
Damn !! Thom Yorke ´nd Flea : perfect combination
yorke & flea convinacion perfecta. sin darle menos importancia a los otros musicos, que son muy buenos
@mikeyskywalker There is nothing new under the sun, right? You make a good point. And hey, if they can repackage it well enough to make it appear to be solely their own, thats kind of impressive on its own, right? :)
@potissimus no prob! glad ya like it.
uma correção... Mauro Refosco
whats the name of this band?

@mavericknopants i didnt hear about that. might have to go there from cleveland.
the end is too gnarly
Nice . .
@jmill2828er My friends and I made the mistake of standing in the pre-order tickets until they opened the doors. getting into the correct line all the way back in the suburbs made me :(
mindblowing show though. I could feel the funk
this shit is funky!
what in flaming hell is Flea doing with Yorke?!!! strangest combination I've seen in a long while :D
well lets not overlook the other prodigies. yes this is a thom yorke showcase and he is the center, but i wouldn't go so far as to say he's the one and only genius on stage
Hey, bryansensei... I'm not talking about badminton...
I'm talking about economics, pre-salt and stuff like that.
posting 5 more songs right now. they're uploading... be patient!
aaah holy shit 4:14 was amazing
i take it back! THIS PERFORMANCE WAS FUCKIN AMAZING!
What a nice mood. Totally different from a Radiohead gig -Wich is also good, just different-.
you can't compare thom yorke to matt bellamy. they have two completly different personas whilst playing. whoever compares muse to radiohead is crazy. they're absolutely different.
are you comparing
radiohead ..
beatles
and pink floyd ?
the beatles
and pink floyd
are in very different level
0:08 ;p
funny, some thom's dance moves here remind those of Anthony from RHCP.
maybe flea causes that on vocalists? lol
Great stuff by Waronker. I never liked him much in REM as he misses Berry's subtlety but he's amazing here.
radiohead and red hot chili peppers are my favorite bands.....fuck yes
he got mad moves, yo.
Fair comment but i think there is depth and soul in their songs. Ruled by secrecy, sing for absolution, invincible, showbiz, the whole exogenesis symphony, these all feel extremely soulful to me. Holy. Fucking. Shit.
Has my Love.)-d
Wew Radiohead and RHCP are my two favourite bands. COME TO SWEDEN. PLZ!!!
Erm...why X-factor?..I don't see any parallel between the two things...
I like flea's fender with butterflyes on it))
give me a break man. radiohead is so advanced musically, and each member brings something to the table, but thom is definitely a huge part of why they've employed polyrythmic beats and his voice in unmatched in popular music. sorry, I gave muse a fair listen, but really, has muse been on the cover of Downbeat (a JAZZ magazine)?
