Just to be clear here in the event that it’s not obvious… I AM NOT condoning any violence or justifying it due to words. Personally I watch what I say and do whether it be Online or in Public because I understand full well that many may be on their last emotional leg as it is and you may very well be the straw that breaks the camels back or trigger some past trauma causing them to become violent. Many people take cruises because of how cheap an inexpensive they are. You can get an all inclusive week long vacation for a few hundred. Many people do not pay much to take a cruise

@@carriesmith7843 carnival. I went on a 5 day in January of this year for a couple hundred plus taxes and fees. Maybe $320 total. Obviously you can spend much more but you don't have to. The are filling ships easier now so it might not be as cheap but you can book a cruise on carnival a year in advance for dirt cheap. I've gone on a 7 Day cruise on carnival for $350

When I first started cruising, I viewed going on a cruise as something super special. An elegant, luxurious vacation where people behaved in a dignified way for the most part. There was a certain unspoken "decorum" expected. It was an honor to be there, and on formal nights everyone was excited and proud to dress up. Ladies in evening gowns and men in tuxedos or suits and ties. Wow, somewhere along the line, the world has changed - and not necessarily for the good. Cruising now is pretty much like hanging out at Walmart or the county fair. But then society as a whole seems to be sliding in that direction, it seems....😕

Ummm… a stipulation on any bond is, you can not leave the state, especially on a cruise that you could potentially get off at a port and not return. The cruse line should cut off drink packages and let drinkers pay full price for each drink,then many they wouldn't drink them selves into oblivion.would cost to much per drink to get stinking drunk.
Carnival does have a 15 drink per 24 hour limit - that I think is enough to take out a rhino, but whatever. I can't tell you how many times my husband and I have been enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail and someone has been cut off -- at 5:30 p.m. People don't know their limits, or need a support program.
I learned at a young age to think about the Consequences before I speak..so I always keep my words soft & sweet!

I had a situation where a woman was making fun of and mocking our server who had a Russian sounding accent. I got so mad. Instead of slapping the taste out of her mouth.. I broke her down like a fraction with my words. I told her she really needed to get out more and meet more people than she had been from her little West Virginia town. He hubby just sat there and actually agreed with me. She tried to act like she was going to flex on me but decided not to go there .Two days later we ran into each other in the elevator and me and my besties acted like nothing happened.. she just looked down at the floor and couldn’t get off the elevator fast enough..

I was on this cruise if it happened 6/3/23. I didn't see this altercation but there were a few other ones that almost sparked up. Carnival needs to modify that drink package and continue to elevate their standards.
I don't think they need to modify the drink package, they just need to pay better attention. Not everyone is a jerk when they're drunk.

You were on the ship with my husband, sister and brother-N-law. Alaska was awesome. Our 1st cruise after pandemic. I must say, things have really changed and service not the same.

If Carnival just offered unlimited alcohol vs. 15 drinks - I'd bet there be less problems as everyone wouldn't be racing to get to their 15 drinks just like bars with massive crowds at last call.

People never know their limits. Alcohol sometimes bring out people’s true colors. Definitely a lesson for many. Carnival has a lot going on but it’s because people do not know how to behave sometimes. It’s unfortunate because you’re on a vacation you paid for. Worst time to get into a physical altercation smh. I would never want to get arrested or kicked off a boat. Especially depending on where you are in the water. Different ports have different laws and some have absolutely no tolerance for the foolery. Whew! That was crazy. Thanks for sharing.

This is why I’ve only sailed Disney because I’m not a gambler past $50-$100 and the only drinks I like are Seagrams berry flavored coolers and it’s been about 8 or 9 years since I’ve had one 😂😂

This is only me. I'm a 34 year vet police officer. I'm called names every day I put the uniform on. I'm totally immune from name calling. It just does not bother me. Most of all, when I am on vacation. It's impossible to make me upset. LOL Please, hand me a drink. LOL
I basically live in the smoking sections and have never encountered this. Normally the fights are in the club. Personally, if you’re throwing hands over a word, you’re mentally weak. Don’t care the race, the slur, the special string of various words, getting called a name isn’t a free pass for assault. That said, if you’re dropping vulgarities, slurs or not, especially if children are around then security needs to get involved, but if you’re throwing hands because of a word then you become the problem. Have some mental fortitude people…

Being trapped on a cruise ship with idiots is one of the worst things I can imagine.
Calling someone the N word is inexcusable, and the impact on cruising in general is very sad, and for that reason i would avoid carnival. Apparently people dont know how to behave and want to solve every issue with their fists. Grow up or go elsewhere 🤔
I would agree with you but id rather the animals and classy people stay on carnival cruise. I like royal and it’s quality of cruisers way more. No don’t need these animals to go on royal.
