- Installation instructions for a DF-165 and DF-100 5G Products on a 2001-2010 Chevy/GMC Duramax. This video is applicable to part numbers: A7SPBC259 &A7SABC509. The installation is relatively the same for a DF-220-5G pump, however, the DF-220 requires a 5/8 high flow suction tube.

Do you need to prime the fuel separator before you turn the truck on?

Did you fill the water separator with diesel then back off the fuel filter to prime everything before turning the truck on?
i wish he would have shown how to prime it. i have seen other install videos and all you do is tighten the water separator on and loosely install the fuel filter. turn the key on but don't start the truck, then tighten the filter once fuel starts coming out. it will take 10-15 seconds, maybe .
@@dskize1 I tightened up the water separator and the fuel filter, then turned on the key, after about 10 seconds I loosened off the filter just enough for the air to come out, then fuel splashed out and I tightened it back up. I started the truck and let it idle for 5 minutes before taking it for a drive to top up the fuel tank. Worked perfectly for me.
Same install for dual tank trucks?
Can i install airdog to firewall (i have chevy g20 with 6.5Diesel)
You can mount the pump wherever you would like! We always recommend staying away from items that get hot such as exhaust or any moving parts!
What year is this truck my 07 has a entirely different fitting and after over two hours of fighting with it using 2 different tools I still can’t get it to pop loose… I gave up and took the truck down off the jack stands before I got so pissed I started trying to cut the fitting off

My truck is a 2010 and I have the same fittings as in the video.
@@whiskeytango9769 I got it eventually….. but the so-called quick disconnect fittings did not want to disconnect and in 2007 they had two body styles they had the classic which was basically an 06 essentially and then the new body style that was the same as a 08 and I’ll be willing to bet it was the new body style that had the newer style clips on it
Hello, how much pressure do I put on the lb7 2003 pump?

Hooked up my air dog and it seems to be barely sucking. What gives?
Do you still run the OEM filter ?
It is your personal preference. You can either delete the OE filter and housing or leave it intact!
i took mine off. you can either remove the filter and replace it with a cap, or install a small fuel line loop where the gas would enter and exit the stock filter. I installed the fuel line loop. cheaper than the cap plug.
Does this kit need a sump?
It hooks directly to the OE suction line on the top of the tank. No draw straw or sump required.
