Silver Black Velvet brushes are actually not full synthetic.. 😅 They're a blend of real Squirrel & synthetic black fibers, which the company is transparent about. They're my favourite brushes to use even compared to Princeton Neptunes (which are full synthetic), but if that's something someone is concerned about they do use real Squirrel hair to make them, they just also use synthetic fibers so they're not 100% natural Squirrel.
The Neptune's are a great alternative for anyone who doesn't want to use real hair brushes! They perform very similarly to the Black Velvet in terms of softness and water holding capacity, they just don't get quite as fine of a point as the Black Velvets do 😊
