About wanting more viewers: ive built up a small community of viewers by hanging out and engaging in other small streamers' chats. I never tell them im a streamer, but if theyre cool, people pick up on your interactive outgoing energy and sometimes people check put your profile. When they see youre a streamer, they connect their community to yours. You grow organically. You chill with them when youre offline, they come watch you when youre streaming. You need to network, even if its just talking to ppl in chat :)

I have been feeling extremely down because I've been streaming for 2 years and I haven't gotten a lot of views, raids or bits etc as the beginning. I really relate to the drop so I'm glad I watch this, it gave me the boost I need to keep going!

Honestly, I want that Affiliate, I want it bad.
However, what I want more is just one or two more fans like this one guy I picked up on a Total War stream. He always shows up at some point and is super active in chat while we play, giving game tips, and just talking with us.
Honestly the dude is great and I immediately perk up when I see him in chat. He is a freaking joy and loads of fun, even if it is just him in chat, stream instantly becomes 100x more fun.
That's truthfully all I want, just one or two more viewers like that.

Love it bro! I can really relate to the drop, I just graduated university and I'm gonna be going through some schedule changes so I fear that the new times may take some adjusting for everyone as I get into a new job and all. But im prepared to grow over time. Thank you for an informative video

I've been streaming for a few months and I've found that I'm glad I have only one viewer. My stream is evolving and I can iron out the tech issues and what I really want to do with the stream without worrying too much.
I'm also not a talker. My husband said to just act like I'm talking to my sister. 😆
Keep it up, it absolutely gets easier over time!

6:13 I have had my first viewer a month ago (maybe)? uh the only thing that was said was "Get followers now by clicking this!" ._. Last night a guy was complaining about a follow for follow type thing on a discord "I stream and the other doesn't watch me so why follow for follow!? agh I cant watch others with viewers cause I get a head ache and I get mad I don't have those viewers and money"

I came into twitch with the thought of "This is a grind not 1 minute instant oatmeal." lol So far the main thing I have being getting from these videos and just being on twitch is...be humble, dont worry about others streams, clip all your favorite moments improve where it needs to be.
There is someone out there that will enjoy your clips and videos as much as you did, twitch is just playing and sharing moments with others, that's my view of it. Everything else comes in due time yes you can have followers but not everyone off that list will enter your stream. I don't have many followers its normally just me and my friend goofing around which goes to a VOG? (is that hows its spelt ?) We both have fun, enjoy the game, and continue to have fun with just us. Everything else will come on its own.
You videos inspired me to stream. I started May 1st and I JUST got affiliate!

Don't worry buddy! I struggled with the same thing for a long time. Friends come and go. Twitch chats can be a great place to meet some pals to play with!
@@xTwoShoes Ive tried and I've failed man, my stream times are at odd hours and well, people in my region are sleeping, and my only option is to play with people from halfway across the world with 300 ping due to my stream schedule

Good video, love the idea and it turned out great, i just think in general r/twitch is a fairly toxic place, and it can be really de-motivating for new streamers

I dunno, lately I feel r/twitch is just people making meme topics about having zero viewers and thread upon thread of people saying to "just keep swimming" basically without ever trying to get the OP to think about what they're doing. It's starting to feel less useful as a resource.

In addition to the goal part, in general is not good to link your goals to number of followers and viewers imo. It switches mentality too much to numbers you don't have that much control on, and goes against the "have fun first" advice given at the start. Is really good to have goals, but try to make them something that is more under your control.

I have been making content on multiple platforms for over 6 yars. streaming and content creation is the only job i can get and i have been at a constant 2 - 0 viewers. My stream is going nowhere and my girlfriend keeps complaining about me not making money with my twitch stream calling me a bum and a loser. she sais "you should have blown up in twitch by now, just quit." or " I have seen people grow way faster than you on twitch in like 3 months." I dont know what to do or why my stream is not growing. I am making no viewers and dont know what to do. can you help? oh and one more thing when i do occasionally make a few more viewers than usual, they dont stick around and one viewers said im "cringe" (whatever that means) People watch me and get discusted by my stream and never return. *sighs*
It sounds like you may need to change what you are doing. If you have been doing the same thing for that long and its not working, it might be time to look for a change. Also, nothing is impossible, Im sure you can find a job that can work around your content creation. But best not to put all your eggs in one basket right now. I tried to watch your vods in order to provide you with some feedback but your vods are sub only. I would advise against that.
@@xTwoShoesthanks. i put it in sub only mode to incentivise people to sub so i can make some money off of them.
@@GhostKitin I understand that but at this stage, yourr aim should be to grow and think about money later. Take this situation for example. A few people, including me, may have gone to look for your channel to check you out. We now cant. Hence you may be missing out on potential follows and (possibly) subs down the line. I suggest you rethink this and don't focus on money. Focus on content first.
