    A little tip for the hdmi switcher (this is only useful if only one other console) you can have your monitor on your pc screen and then just got to your stream software (I use OBS idk if it works the same on slabs) and make sure your on your capture card as what your recording/streaming and then right click on the preview window and then hover over “full screen” then it gives you the option to put it as full screen and if you have a second monitor it lets you choose what screen to full screen it on. It looks the exact same as if you got up to switch the input on your monitor it’s just a little shortcut.

  • @MasterSynth

    Regarding the capture card, there's one that does 1080 60fps and it's usb 3.0, it's called Cam Nova, and it's a bit more expensive, but not much. I payed like 25 or so dollars and the 60fps are preeeetty nice!
    Also, first gen 2i2, my only grip with it is output impedance. Too low. But regardless, great interface.
    I have to say it, since I found your channel while looking for streaming stuff for starting doing it myself, I've suscribed , watched the entirety of your videos (lol) and been in a couple of your streams and I have to confess that you have such a good vibe I really dig. • @xTwoShoes
      @xTwoShoes  3 года назад

      Hey! Thank you! I just use a USB outlet to power it. No dummy battery required! Although I think the output of the USB port needs to be over 2.5v in order to keep it powered as it runs!

    I would love to see you do a beginners breakdown of OBS and see what your opinion on the more software side of a good streaming setup looks like for you
    Also what’s your opinion on stream decks I noticed you have the elgato one, how essential are those?

    • @xTwoShoes
      @xTwoShoes  3 года назад

      Have it on the list of "To Do Videos":). Also, have a more detailed video on gear coming soon too where I talk about all that gear.
      But in short, I don't feel they are essential. BUT I have kind of made mine essential to MY streams with all the different effects I use it for:)

  • @RaidStomper
    @RaidStomper 3 года назад +3

    Hey! Good video, well presented as usual.
    However I wouldn't say a lot of these things are essential for a BUDGET small streamer, things like the mixer, or spending €€€+ on a top end cam is not effective use of budget when you can get a decent one for sub €100. If you take the things you suggest, it would be over €1,500. That is your entire wage for a month if you are earning €21k. I wouldn't say that is 'budget'
    the message of 'you don't need all this fancy stuff' isn't reflected with your essentials.

    • @xTwoShoes
      @xTwoShoes  3 года назад +2

      Thanks for the feedback:) I totally hear you.
      I think more what I am getting at is the fact that you can achieve a high budget look/sound without spending a lot more money than I have. For example, I feel a lot of streamers now use the Sony A7Siii which is a 2k camera. Whereas mine was only a few hundred. Although I can consider some of these things essential to my set up, I don’t mean to come across as they are essential to everyone’s :)

    Hi I have a question. I have a capture card for my console and I haven't hooked up my gaming PC to my streaming PC because I didn't want to switch around the capture card (I think that's how its supposed to work). The mrocioa thing that you have, would that prevent me from having to get a second capture card to make life easier?

    I don't fully agree with this setup. Getting started and streaming is difficult, plus, streaming is not for everyone. This is a setup that someone who is not testing the waters anymore would use. This is already a substantial investment.
    For me personally, I use a stream deck application on my phone, and I use a software mixer, both of which were free.
    I was also able to locate a cheap dynamic microphone for under 30 bucks, which granted, is not the best quality, but it is a lot better than using a headset mic.
    I can't say anything about cameras and hdmi interfaces however, because I do not use any of those.
    Basically, if you are just testing the water, just try and rely on free software, just to get the hang of things first. Then, once you are confident you are able to dedicate a lot of time and money into this, feel free to upgrade.
    This is just my opinion, feel free to let me know what you guys think

    • @xTwoShoes
      @xTwoShoes  3 года назад +2

      Hey bud! Thanks for the feedback.
      My aim for this video is to show my own essentials, not necessarily essentials to all streamers.
      I understand that somethings in this video are not considered cheap but I am also not saying you NEED those things:)
      Perhaps my presentation came off somewhat wrong but as I said, this is just my own choices in gear that I think provide pretty decent quality, some of which are on the cheaper end!
      Thanks for letting me know though!

    oh, i upgraded my setup and pc I used too have a dual-core pc it was bad for console capture card recording i need a pc that was a 5 core or a ryzen I upgrade fro ma intel Pentium g4560 with a gtx 1060 6gb 8gb ram i upgraded my pc in 2017 cause my old one was causing lag in streams my audio would be delayed ahead of my video. no matter what video or audio delay i put in obs nothing worked. so i just say fuck it i buy a pc for this mess we are in 2021 with pc parts. i upgrade from intel to a ryzen 3600 with 16gb ram sticks upgrade to 32 GB ram. then from my 1060 6gb i upgraded too a 1080ti witch is far better for me. then i upgraded my microphone i used for 6 years on youtube i used an Astro a40 tr 2016 model headset as a mic and then in 2017 when i moved from youtube to twitch to move my streams only for 3 years i regret i saw no growth had no growth. glad i moved back to youtube where i started my viewership went up my 2nd mic was a steel series artic 3 headset then i used a 30$ usb microphone called the fine fine k669b for 2 years in 2018till 2019 it lasted me 2 years till i had audio issues and filters no longer made my mic sound good anymore. it was dying. my last upgrade was an Elgato wave 3 i love it my voice sounds great and people like my new mic my old mics no one liked also i upgrade my cheap 26$ Chinese knock off webcam did not last long only one year then i upgraded too the Logitech c920 s pro hd webcam people like the new face cam. upgrading the little things make things for the better of you i did it cause i am still grinding on youtube and doing lets plays i never stop .
