  • We Relasted these ‪@brasstokyo‬ CLINCH Engineer Boots. Which is taking the shoe all the way apart so it's just the upper leather. Then we stretch the upper over a new last that we built up to the customer's measurements. After lasting we put on new welt. The customer wanted to go with a leather midsole with ‪@DrSole‬ rubber halfsole and heel.

    This channel fills the void that Brian the Bootmaker left behind when he stopped making videos.

    Really well done. But if I were him, I would sell CLINCH and ask you to help me customize a new pair with new last, because the outsole of CLINCH is also made by Dr.sole.😂😂😂

    For relasting, you have a lot less leather to work with, doesn't it alter the integrity of the shoe at all?

    Nice. Those would look so much better with a dogger heel than a woodsman style, but still nice.

    Did you modify this Munson last to a flat toe? Another beautiful job

    • @UnsungHouse
      @UnsungHouse  2 года назад +1

      Thanks! And yes we did sand the toe down on a Munson last to make the toe shape as similar as we could to the original

    Excellent work. What was wrong with the original fit?

      The ball of the customers foot was further forward so it felt loose in the middle of their foot. So we adjusted the last to account for that.

      @@UnsungHouse don't brass tokyo offer last modifications themselves? would have thought so... or was it a travelling distance problem or such?

    Nice work! How does your last differ from Clinch's?

      I took a pair of Munson lasts and reshaped the toe, I've never seen an actual cn last in person so I cant speak to specifics but I was pretty happy with how they turned out, I feel like they were pretty close to the same toe shape when relasted

    The soles looked fine, why resole?
    Edit : Ok got my answer from the description!

    Nice work but I think the original one is much better as the boots were brand new

    There is so much mediocre in this world. It's nice that you don't orientate yourself on this, and compromises in quality and work are out of the question for you. keep it up.
    Thank you for these beautiful videos.

    Can a heel be replaced without replacing the entire sole? For instance, swapping a 1.5" woodsman heel for a 1.78" woodsman heel.

    • @UnsungHouse
      @UnsungHouse  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, that's possible. We would just remove the heel base and add a layer of leather to the desired height.
