Wow, what an awesome haul. Nice premium quality, much better than the TLV equivalents since you have wipers, brakes, and clear lights all around. I think the Gemini had an antenna stub, not a chip. Bangladesh is interesting. I've run out of room for this collection so will collect vicariously through you.
It appears there might be 100 of these castings in total. Geesh. I don’t have room for that either. Nor the funds. Really cool product line and presentation by DeAgostini though. Great time to be a collector.
What a great showcase! Some of the cars you showed today are ones that I didn't even were done by DeAgostini before. I feel this brand isn't talk about too much partly because it's not too widely available. Regarding the Toyota Celsior, I think you might be thinking of the Lexus LS series which I believe is based on it. The non-moving brake calipers on the R34 GT-R are just amazing. It's not something that I would expect from a brand of this pricepoint. Also, congrats on the bonus!
Thank you my friend, the bonus was well-timed. You are right, for 1/43 brands this is not one of the premium names. But these cars are extraordinary in 1/64 scale. They really put their publishing skills on display with the boxes/magazines….
Hi David, congrats on the awesome haul! Looks like a super nice collection and a great range of varied Japanese cars. Nice they included cars like the SVX (or Japanese version). I'm not so active lately, so have missed a lot of videos, but will try and stop by now and again. Always great to see your videos!
I understand about being offline for a bit, I could probably benefit from that as well. Thank you for stopping by, you never have to explain. I am very glad I found these.
What’s up David? Just stopping by real quick to show you some love brother. Sorry I can’t stay for the whole show. I’m still working. I already smashed that like button for you brother. 👊💯
Wow there a bunch of incredible cars David, really enjoyed, hope your doing well and the family mate🙏😊 Cheers🍺🍺🍺 KC Cradle Mountain Tasmania 🇦🇺🇳🇿🤝🇺🇸🇺🇸😎✌👍
Amazing and beautiful collection and thanks for sharing with us. I saw a similar collection of legendary Japanese cars in 1/24 scale on a Japanese car show called Samurai Wheels a few years back. By the way, I think what you took to be a chip on the roof of the Isuzu was in fact a representation of where the aerial would protrude. Remember all the old 80s Japanese cars had the aerials in the A pillar ? Also the Subaru 360 is so named because the tiny engine was only 360cc.
Wow, awesome collection and beautifully made models, lensed head and tail lights, mirrors, wipers, badges, rims, interior with colours, everything made perfectly and accurately :) Very skilled workers in Bangladesh! Very interesting cars there, the Mazda Familia for example. My first car was a 1982 Mazda 323 3-door Hatchback like that, but in metallic green. Reliable car, nice and useful features in it, but indeed good that I never had a crash in it. The black spot on the roof corner in Isuzu Gemini, I believe it's not paint defect but a cover plate for radio antenna, which can be pushed inside to the A-pillar, for example when going in a car wash, the brush type machine :)
Thank you Finn, that is good to hear about the antennae plate. I’m am so pleased at every part of this series. I can’t believe I found an opportunity like this.
Can I ask are these exspensive David? Loving the little Ford laser, and the Holden Gemini after it in white, repaired a lot of them in the smash repair industry back in the day, I need to win the lottery 😊
Holy Moly! I have never heard of this brand, you are a diecast detective! I have a ton of questions, but I'll keep it brief. What premium brand would you feel this is similar to? And the tough question, cost? That 78 Celica XX became the Supra, I need that one! OMG That 86 Supra is amazing! These are amazing pieces. I really need to resist heading to eBay , or I'll end up spending my cat's college fund. Isuzu Gemini was sold in US as a Geo by GM. Absolutely frigging fantastic my friend!
You have been warned, Joe. Looking on EBay will only ignite a fire to get them. The presentation level is off the chart with the boxes, magazines, displays. It makes my collection feel “fancy” and I like that. :) As far as the comparison, TLV is the only brand that can compete….pound for pound….with all the features you get (on every car). It’s crazy what you get on each one. The Celica is pure awesomeness, I’ve never seen one in 1/64 before. Hope you are well, Joe. Great to hear from you.
@@twycediecast David I'm doing very well, Really fixing myself. I'm learning self restraint I will pick up maybe 2 max 5 of these but over months so as to ease the pain ;) I can't believe I seem to be a Toyota fan now and I've never owned one. But lots of cool nostalgia ;)

The Celsior was for sure the Lexus LS400 here in the states. The Celsior just happened to be the "true" JDM version. But yeah Dave this set was awesome. I'd have to say that Mazda Luce is super underrated. Gorgeous car.
They are not Tomicas, I don’t know how many companies use the castings if I’m honest. Yes, 1/64 is the same size as MiniGT. Glad you checked out the video.
If I remember correctly, this is actually a monthly subscription in Japan. They send you a new car every month! Unfortunately we can't sign up here in the states. 😢
Just stumbled apon your channel. Great Stuff ! Long shot here but do you have or know where I could see a scale model 95 - 2000 Hyundai Excel X3 ? That's what we call them in Australia. I've owned 2 and still drive one. A 1997 model I bought for $300. A mate did some minor work and I drive the thing outback Australia... Hyundai is just synonymous with Reliability... I'm getting off track here. Anyway. Thankyou and great channel
Thanks my friend. I appreciate you watching and stopping by. I have not seen that model Excel anywhere. I’d love too though, I had an Excel hatchback in the early 90’s. XCarToys has some Hyundais and MiniGT has a recent Elantra.
@@twycediecast thankyou very much for the heads up. I believe that tiny car is what put Hyundai on the map in Australia. Mid to early 2000s the little things were everywhere.
Kirby! Hope all is well man…..yeah, can’t lie; it was about $100 (which is why I got so many at once). I think the shipping would be about $20 each if you bought them individually (unfortunately).
the Isuzu Gemini & Mazda Familia are my favorites of a very nice set but like I stated in your community post teasing these , this a is magasine press release by De Agostino but they're not the maker of these models someone else (I don't know which die cast maker ) have made these for De agostini. that's something common for press release like this
I wonder who makes these and also the cars that have their name on them in 1/43 scale. There are thousands of different cars in that scale under the DeAgostini name
I bought the Celsior when it dropped since I have an LS400, and I got the Hakosuka because it's my favorite Skyline. The Hako leaves a lot to be desired, and the TW version is more accurate, but the Celsior is the best version on the market so far.
I can see certain brands doing some of the castings better, but I think overall, this might be some of the best execution across the board for any brand
