    I have had that gun for four years now. I can place head shots every time out to 20 yards with ease. The weight of the gun helps significantly to reduce recoil. That trigger is just fine for me. Good review for a good gun.

    Great video.
    I love the friendly presentation.
    I do enjoy my TPR 380+, and also have that armalaser on it. The adjustable sights on this little pistol is nice, So long as the shooter is applying equal left/right on sight alignment, she's an accurate shooter.
    Being a fixed-barrel, blowback, they are a little snappy. When they translated the design to doublestack, they widened that beavertail too much, and its square profile digs into users' thumb joints. So I went and had my gunsmith shave that beavertail to a better ergonomic contour (rounded the edges), and I replaced the recoil spring with a Walther PP 18lb from Wolff Springs.
    These little Bersas are amazing amalgamations of tried and true Beretta and Walther pocket guns.

    I bought a 2nd hand one, a single stack Bersa Thunder 380, I wanted the double stack but I always travel IN CONUS with my weapon. And some states IE: California, you are only allowed a 10 rd capacity mag, & New Jersey you cannot use JHP. Therefore, I use FMJ always now, better for the 380’s penetration. Great video.

    I own the single stack Thunder CC it holds 8+ 1. Carried it for years. Shoots great. I was so impressed that I bought and now carry the Thunder Plus. Again no issues at all. Just wish it came with more magazines. Thanks for your advice. I am now a new subscriber.

    That’s a nice looking gun. Sounded like it was thumping those targets pretty hard.Your shirt reminded me of a pair of shoes my dad brought me home from on of his business trips. He was a furniture salesman,among other things. All around hustler.if there was a deal to be had or a buck to be made,he was on it. Anyhow,the shoes..it was the 1st pair of leather sneakers I had ever had. They looked cool & I sure was proud of them. Kept them clean. For the better part of a month after I got them,I demonstrated that they actually made me run faster.to anyone who would take a minute and watch. Love some pumas. Takem easy!

    Al, I wanted to point out a difference between the Double stack and the single stack. The mag release is located in different places on the Bersa plus it's next to the bottom of the trigger guard, and the single stack is located up by the slide release. I've had the Thunder plus for 5 years and bought the single stack version about a year ago. When I went to shoot it, I noticed the different locations.

    What makes me set up and pay attention is that clearly Bersa has come a ways quality control wise. There was a time, before I retired as an LEO in 2010, that Bersa handguns were seen as "jam-a-matics" and "Punk guns". I worked more than one homicide where the "victim" was found with his or her mitt wrapped around the grips of a Bersa .380 that had failed to extract/eject standard velocity .380ACP FMJ cases. I might just have to pick up a Bersa .380 in either single or double stack for the heck of it. Great video on a pistol I have counted as "suicide carry" for what has been clearly way too long.

      You'll find that there is a cult following for them. Your comment is one of the few negative comments I personally have ever heard about Bersa. I have a Bersa thunder 7+1 in the safe. And I carry a Bersa thunder plus 15+1 when in town. I carry a Glock32 when just out and about. And a Super Blackhawk 44 when in the mountains. Bersa is fine with me. Both have a fixed barrel which he failed to mention. Which means greater accuracy. Both of mine are dead on. And are both butt opposites of Jam-O-Matics. I can't ever recall a jam in either. My Glock 42 and 43 have jammed. And when the Thunder plus came out. They don't see daylight very often. I only use ball ammo or FMJ in the Bersa's, 380 doesn't have the speed for hollow points. Plus hollow points are conducive to jamming. Depends on the feed ramp. But I own 0% of hollow points and I have a mountain of ammo. You get a Bersa and put a hundred rounds through it. I bet you sign up for joining the cult. Adjust for windage and let her roll. I'd go for the Bersa Plus, I got mine for $299. Peace.

      @@thebigfellar7178 Thanks for the kind response. Please bear in mind that the shooting incidents I worked, where Bersa pistols were involved on either or both sides of an "argument", were not being utilized by folks who knew diddly about proper firearms maintenance or took the time to find out what ammo worked best in their particular pistol. Since Bersa is a brand that produces pistols priced for Joe and Jane General Public they came to fall into the same category as the HI Points of the day. And I'm not throwing rocks at either brand I'm just stating what we tended to see what was in front of us at crime scenes. Just for comparison purposes, back when "Ingrams/Cobrays", especially those illegally converted to full auto, were a thing among the criminally oriented we often found those pistols at crime scenes with failure to extract/eject cases that had led directly to the deaths of the victims. If Bersa has actually improved on its quality control I'd buy one just for grins and chuckles and maybe even for walking around in the woods carry. Take care and may you and yours have a very happy Thanksgiving!

      @@furmanmackey5479 Thanks for your response. All #3 of my department heads over #20 years were Secret Service Joe, he wrote a book. Guarded elder Bush for 2 terms, hated it. He was his personal man. Other two were just lieutenants with Police departments. Gomers. I chased Bigfoots for 20 years is my only fame. Almost got me killed a few times. Spent over 6 weeks bowed up after one ambush. When I first started, I had #2 guns. Now I have over #40. Bersa has come a long way. Like Beretta they have fixed barrels. So, finding just the right ammo for your Bersa is of major importance. And no gun shoots the same as another. You can adjust left to right, but not up and down. Hence the need to experiment with ammo to find the one that rises or lowers to hit the bullseye Remington may shoot high or PMJ shoots low. Finding the one that's perfect takes a little while. Unless you reload. Both mine are dead-on. And they never jam. Any auto shot enough will not jam. My 45 in the Army had a rattle so bad, you'd have thought it was coming apart. That's when they are pure money...!!! I just bought a brand-new S@W Model 10. 38 special +P . Haven't even shot it yet. 10-14 to be exact. Always wanted one. They made a new run on a gun that's been around 110 years. This is the 14th run on them. 10-14!!!!! Bull barrel , hope it's as accurate as they say. Fixed sights on it. Peace.

    • @furmanmackey5479
      @furmanmackey5479 Месяц назад

      @@thebigfellar7178 And that says it all! I suspect that you will be very happy with your 10-14. The bull barrel helps with recoil, and I think, accuracy when +P or +P+ loads are utilized. I suggest being cautious with +P+ loads though.

    • @thebigfellar7178
      @thebigfellar7178 Месяц назад +1

      @@furmanmackey5479 Well with the fixed sights. I'll have to see how she is shooting on paper then try about #20 brands to see which one shoots high or low or closest to the bullseye. It's a slow process. But worth it. Maybe it'll shoot dead-on. Wouldn't that be nice? 20* here today. Be inside lol.
