- Hey guys,
I finally made it out to Egypt. It’s one of those destinations that, everyone has on their bucket list. On my descend into Cairo, I got a bit emotional. It was my first time touching down in the motherland. After 13 years of traveling, I finally added Africa to my repertoire.
Please checkout the video from the beginning to the end. I tried to share some of the raw vibes of Cairo. I also showed how people can scam you as a tourist. No need to fear the place, I had a great time there. I just want to show caution on being over priced. People have to make a living so they make it from the tourist.
This is just part one of the Egypt series, more videos to come. Also lookout for, Turkey and Greece.

I got scammed everyday on holiday in Egypt ... generally small amounts of money but still feels bad; guided tour avoids this but even with the scamming it works out way more (and you're getting scammed by a big company instead) and not getting a very authentic experience; if you're older guided tour only safe way to go as Egypt too wild which is very sad
When u going to a country and a police officer over there asking you for money then u know that you should escape immediately from that country
We went there 15 years ago, pretty much the same experience.
I definitely want to go back, and spend more time.

You got scammed so hard I feel bad for you bro. Speak a little Arabic learn how to say No it’ll go a long way. Like I went to the pyramids like 2 years ago paid 100 pounds for the whole thing. Rode my own horse even. In Egypt you only get scammed if you think your not paying a lot when it IS a lot. You can live on $500 a month comfortably in Cairo.
The message is simple and clear, Avoid going to Egypt, its not safe and kind to tourists.
Huge problem in the tourist sites of Egypt, the rest of Egypt is great and kind and friendly and hospitable people.
I wouldn't say it's not safe, just these tourist sites can be annoying to enjoy peacefully
I had an okay time in Egypt and it was safe. Just try to avoid paying a lot more than you should. For example, try to take an Uber everywhere or take the Metro when possible. Avoid taxi drivers when you can and if you can't, video record the communication of how much it'll cost to go somewhere. Some places you'll be stuck paying the 'foreigner' price. Some people will leave out information about the cost of things and then try to charge more when everything is due.
I didn't mean a rude person while I was there and I plan on going back as soon as I can.
We can say the same thing about NY or Chicago .no one go wondring in NY you can end up dead in the wrong neighborhood.

Those horses are in horrible shape! Skinny, sick, and some were obviously lame. Watching them struggle is heart breaking. Please don't support this business, there are plenty of other countries to visit where they don't harass tourists and abuse animals.
I agree on the part about the horses. My channel is about going everywhere and forming your own opinion.

Your comments it’s hurt my heart. I don’t know the police it’s poor. I think he want to save his Monthly salary and Spend money from tourists. I promise you when I go to Egyptian 2nd time. I will give to police and pyramids employees if they ask me for help. But the camels and horse scammers. Will be ignoring them.

I can tell you from personal experience. The police and security guards are scammers too. Plus they don't protect tourists

That exactly how I felt last year in Egypt, especially this year. I didn’t want to leave the hotel, stayed in the room watching movies. I was alone and felt like they didn’t see me. A female American dollar
