Don't let a few scammer videos shake you. Egyptians are big hearted and friendly people, a country worth exploring. To avoid annoying hawkers, just don't interact of talk to anyone, keep moving and enjoy.
husband speaking age 80 2 Sept 23 You can tell when a country hasn't evolved yet is how they care or " don't care " for the animals. They will buy their Cigarettes, beer, wine, drugs before caring for their animals. It breaks my heart to see dogs & cats having to eat total garbage to live. From my first trip to the Philippines where there was no pet food in stores, to 20 plus years later to have pet stores, Vets, pet food. Still, only the well off will take their pet to a Vet.
You would think that after seeing all these videos about tourists being scammed in Egypt by these touts, the Egyptian government could at least investigate these crooks. 😕😕
Your like the outside of Egypt safety/things to watch out for tour guide bro! I'm not sure how much you travel abroad, but I look forward to more, if perhaps you choose so. Be safe in all your endeavors! 🙏🏾 The whole world seems to be going crazy these days lol. Personally, this day and time, ill stay in my birth country America. Shout outs to Australia 👍🏾

Thanks for the comment! Yep it opened up my eyes massively, they really need to do something about the rubbish, especially being right next to the Pyramids!

I didn't expect Egypt to be this bad either! Wow and I thought Bangladesh was bad. Dhaka might be overly crowded, but everything is readily available, like a rickshaw and scooter etc. I reckon Bangladesh is better economically. Sad part is there is no monument or sightseeing. What you can do is shop cheap and eat good food. There are many luxury hotels if you can afford it.

Welcome to Egypt Marco, sorry you had a negative experience with people trying to make a quick buck, the area around the pyramids is notorious for that unfortunately. Some people here see dollar signs when they see tourists. Hopefully you'll meet a lot of decent Egyptians if you venture away from the very touristy areas.

I had to rewatch again, and noticed the second time he was on a call on a different phone at first, then handed the phone over to the other guy and then pulled the white phone out of his pocket and was on that the rest of the time. What's that all about?
Why don't you buy a folding bicycle that you can take with you on your travels? It would be ideal to have to get to the pyramids I was thinking. No need to rely on public transport or shady people. Just get on your bike and you're there in no time. I suggest it since I have one and I've taken it on an airplane once using a suitcase made for it. The bike was a 'Dahon' and their website advertised the suitcase for the bike. I now have a different folding bike which is similar but has 30 speeds. My Dahon only had 7 speeds but it will be very useful for your vlogging trips especially to bike friendly places like the Netherlands and Amsterdam.
