- These guys really ruin the whole experience, but that was my last time going to the pyramids. Time to go explore the real parts of the city.
One thing I noticed in all these types videos is their commonly used catchphrase "This is the government price"😂
Most of us have had experiences when we were scammed. After learning from our lessons we bite the bullet and move on, but going back to the scene of the crime is something, it takes real guts. Kudos to you. You are showing me the parts of the world that I would never have the opportunity to see and visit in my lifetime. Please do what you do. Underneath your wonderful and innocent personality that draws me to watch your videos, you are a brave kid.

I sympathize with the situation in Egypt, but that doesn't justify harassing visitors or significantly overcharging them, thus tarnishing the reputation of all Egyptians. Such actions erode trust, regardless of whether some individuals are honest or not

I offered to give £500 to take a horse to England the owner refused, those poor camels and horses it is so cruel they have no idea how to look after their animals 😢It really pisses me off Even my Egyptian husband got annoyed with them scammers!!

Thanks for all the work you do to make a video about such a renowned place. 100 Egyptian pounds is $3.23 for a one hour ride! He has to live and so does his camel and spending all day waiting for tourists! Google just calculated 200 pounds is $6.47, but maybe the exchange rate was much higher when you were there where even 80 was a lot and sorry if I am wrong. The camel sounds like it is in terrible pain. They have such skinny legs I wonder if it is torture for them to carry people. Is it all sand and you couldn't ride a bike on the pyramid grounds? I don't have any video experience but too much of you rather than being in such a phenomenal place. It's like 99% you in the camera instead of an amazing place like Egypt and too much about what the prices were.
Doesnt matter what the exchange rate it 100 for an hour is good money in Egypt just because they are tourists doesnt mean you scam them.
I dont advise doing the camel ride and donkey rides as Muslim countries dont treat animals well.

@@Augustadventures Yes, the tourists behaviour is a pretty sad look acting frugal in a 3e world country, BUT the owner of the animal needs to learn a lesson by people boycotting them until they treat their animals right. That animal belongs to someone who takes care of it.

I’m not sure when you have people selling a service without a proper booth or store. Without rules and pricing that it’s considered a scam. They own their own camels and horses. I would say that more a entrepreneur than a scammer. They know people will negotiate the price. So why wouldn’t they ask for more. Some people don’t know better and pay it. It’s not a scam. There’s no set pricing for a camel ride. And just like anywhere in the world. You get good pricing if your the same as the person selling the product. These animals sit out in the sun hot all day walking around. Same with the owners trying to make a living. You think 5 bucks for an hour is to much. Where are you getting anything for 5 bucks in America for an hour. Point being is this isn’t a scam it’s called business. People are willing to pay whatever it cost if the product to them is worth the price. If it’s to much and you can’t negotiate then your not forced to buy the service. No one ever tries to buy something from someone without asking for a better price. Just weird how people
Go to a place like Disney world and is willing to pay 12 dollars for a bottle of water without question to w corporations who doesn’t need more money and is just greedy. But complains about a country who isn’t as fortunate trying to charge 6 bucks instead of 5 for a hour of camelback riding.

Please don’t ride on any animals. It is wrong for us to treat them as transport/entertainment. The camel is trying to express his plight. I’ve been around the world and seen many attractions. I must say , $50 for an hour long camel ride in the heat reveling at the Great Pyramid of Giza which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World is not a scam.
The scam is the fact you thought it was only worth $5.
Scammers are everywhere especially in your hometown of New York City.
I’m sure you paid a lot more than $5 to travel around the city in an Uber or taxi. This is a scam….paying $95 one way to uber from Manhattan to Brooklyn.
Paying $100 us dollars to travel 20 minutes by taxi to the mall in Switzerland.
We paid $27 (100 dirham) one way to get a taxi to Dinner in the Sky in Dubai. Afterwards, we asked for a taxi to go downtown thinking it would cost $ 25-30 (95- 100 dirham). During the drive, the driver informed us we were driving in a “limo” taxi ie Lexus and it would cost us $70(250 dirham)
That’s a scam.
Thanks for the video. I learned a lot. We will gladly pay 100-300 Egyptian pounds or more for a camel ride to see the pyramids in Egypt and not feel we got scammed.
We paid $100 to ride the horse and carriage in Central Park, New York and all we saw were people and the the cityscape.

What a bunch of bullcrap, the price is defined locally, it's the law of offer and demand, if you're happy to get bent over without lube, we are not.
All those scammers asking for your ticket ( and pretending they work there) should all get kicked out!
Not a good look for their country, and a total buzzkill for the experience for the. people there. The authorities should be doing spot checks and removing the fake price ( official looking )signs that these scammers put up.

I don't like that they use camels and horses for the enjoyment of people. It is cruel. I have been to countries where I have literally had scammers grab my arm or hand, which is really aggressive. Gypsies are very aggressive like that. I was on a train in Italy one time and this girl, around 12 stood right in front of me and was playing an accordian and wanted money. I just stared straight ahead like she didn't exist. She tried for like 10 minutes and I outlasted her and she left! I had no where to go so I didn't have a choice but to do that. It is best to not talk to them, acknowledge them, or stop. Just keep walking like they aren't there.
