Weezie still wrote the most X-Men issues consecutively for a woman writer... And we love you, Chris Claremont, X-treme X-Men is amazing, as it was before
it's so amazing hearing them talk. X-Men is such an amazing series I love how much care they put into characters they love. And yeah, who wouldn't want to have dinner with Wolverine? He may have a berserker rage freak out, but he's got a lot to share.
*X-Men* has ALWAYS been a Part of My Childhood. I Absolutely Love the Heroic X-Men and the Villainous Brotherhood of Evil Mutants in the Comics, Animated Television Series, Live-Action Movies, Anime Style Show of X-Men and I even had the Best Action Figures of them too! They're all Super Incredible, Amazing, Remarkable, Awesome, Fantastic and Epic Badass!
The conflicts in early X-Men were a lot more straightforward prior to the Sentinels but the emphasis on student life and the teen soap drama stuff with the main team roster really showed Marvel struck gold with selling Spider-Man to post-WWII teens and young adults
I'm not extremely old but I grew up watching the late 90's X-Men on TV after school. X-Men has a very special place in my heart. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the characters. Looking forward to the upcoming X-Men 97.
50% of people that hear about the X-men was from the 90s cartoon it as least the same thing with the 1989 Tim Burton Batman film or the 1992 Animated series
I love the X-Men,a couple of my favorite superheroes wouldn't exist without them,Cable,Magik,Rogue,Storm, and Collosus. Hell even the villains like Magneto,Mystique,Mojo,Spiral, and so many more great enemies.
These three are like my creative lifeblood all on one screen, might not have been into comics without these three, I'm overwhelmed. Secondly Chris is preaching the gospel, they used to treat every book as if you were a new reader, now nothing in Marvel comics is explained as if having to Google or RUclips videos to catch up is the way to go.
I grew up with X-men and it introduced me to more marvel characters that I lost interest with them and marvel all together but more recently I’ve came back to marvel and more importantly X-men. I’ve been buying what X-men (and some other like FF, Iron man and She-hulk) I can find and honestly they’re my all time favorite team. Mutants will always be my favorite group in the marvel universe :). Thanks to everyone who build this world of marvel. I’m happy to read those comics/watch adaptations of them
You don't want to go drinking with Wolverine, Spider-Man learned that the hard way when Wolvie chose him as his drinking buddy on his birthday because Spidey was the only person he knew who would keep him from killing anyone when he got hosed. As an atheist I would love to chat with Nightcrawler over drinks, as an art lover Colossus would be a good choice, the science nerd in me would like to hang out with Forge or Cable and just as a dude I'd want to take Rogue out for drinks.
How about... a LEGO Uncanny X-Men game? With all-star members like Gambit and Jubilee, and team-ups with other Marvel superheroes like Rogue and Captain Marvel
Yeah, first level starts with the classic 60s line up, then throughtout the game time jumps and starts unlocking more iconic rosters, villains and all.
I like Stan Lee's 2-part story idea for comics. Modern X-Men comics have pretty much been stuck in Krakoa for years and years now and nothing really happens.
Chris Claremont is and always will be my favorite comic book writer, Especially his time with Dave Cockrum and John Byrne. Paul Smith was also vastly underrated. There should be an 83' X-Men cartoon.
theses guys need more work on the x-men also I'm glad they're acknlowging that both women and minorities gites have worked on comics before and wrote beloved books
*I hope this makes the writers realize the X-Men need to interact with humanity so they don't lose their own humanity* and yet, remain a little separated from the human race, to build their own world. Not living in isolated police states and declaring war on Everyone. And everything. Earth is big enough for all and that was the what I learned from X-Men Classics and Claremont's whole runs on all comics with them* human with powers. It's time the human race learned that mutants have saved them and creation more than they took from it. The Outback Saga and Road to And Fall of the Mutants ARE incredible STORIES because we could identify with the stories and had a place in them even with background characters. The more they isolate the worse it will be on Earth for mutants
These people really know how to write/draw and edit a comic book with a rich history and continuity. It's such a pity that marvel don't use these peoples skills more now. It's an absolute travesty what Marvel have allowed the current creative teams to do the x-men universe.
I love the Claremont era books, currently on Inferno with my re-read, but creatively the Krakoan era of X-Men is in a really good place right now. Books like Immortal X-Men, X-Men Red, and Legion of X are absolutely amazing. There have been some big powerhouse creatives in the X-Office lately.
@@TCO_404 glad you are enjoying the current read, but i will have to disagree with you. Current stuff is utter tripe, I cannot enjoy any of it. Some stories start well then go nowhere, others seem like they are written/drawn by 10 year olds. No one seems to care about character continuity/history. It's gotten so bad that i'm not buying new x issues anymore, still try to catch up online, but even that isn't enjoyable. I'm getting so close to just stopping reading the X universe titles it's crazy. Been collecting x-men since 1992, but have had enough of the dross now. Obviously thats just my opinion. But i do think Marvel should be making more use of the old guard of creatives. These people managed to keep x-men at the top of the sale charts for over 20 years without having to resort to gimmicks or constant reboots or incentive covers to drive sales.
Someone tell Tini Howard to resurrect Sir James Braddock Senior, he's the Master from Doctor Who. *Broad oak, unless he like Merlyn, faked his Death???* I'm shocked o one thought of it and they brought back S.T.R.I.K.E. but not their parents
Guys, please let’s not do the whole “let’s complain about diversity and wokeness” shtick on a freaking X-Men video. Anybody who knows anything about X-Men knows that it’s basically designed to be “Woke: the comic” and has been since it’s inception. That’s a good thing
Espero que a Disney não vá esculachar meu grupo favorito da Marvel. Não vão transformar em desenho animado pra criança de 5 anos, e nem filmes familiar mea boca?? 🤔😳
X-Men was my childhood. I read the comics, watch the movies and cartoons, and had the action figures.
Xmen is definitely one of my favorite superhero teams and I really enjoyed this.
Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum are why I've been such a huge a Marvel (and specifically X-Men) fan since I was a kid many decades ago.
CLAREMONT IS THE G.O.A.T. Awesome to see him in this forum, I hope he sticks around for a long time.
Chris Claremont's candidness makes this interview so interesting. Comic books are great.
Funny I was reading thru my classic X-Factor with the Mr. And Mrs Simonson at the helm.. Amazing
The three makers of the best X-Men era! Thank you!
X-Men received so many rewards back in the late 70's ,became so popular.
Weezie still wrote the most X-Men issues consecutively for a woman writer...

X-Men, Hellfire Club, Phoenix - the most absorbing, beautiful story. Thank you Claremont and Byrne
Happy 60th Anniversary to X-Men!

90s X-Men got a lot of it's stuff from the 70s X-Men, basically what Claremont worked on.
Claremont's original run remains my favorite!
The X-men will always be great.
I love the X-Men,a couple of my favorite superheroes wouldn't exist without them,Cable,Magik,Rogue,Storm, and Collosus. Hell even the villains like Magneto,Mystique,Mojo,Spiral, and so many more great enemies.
These are some of the people that made the X-Men icons of the Marvel Universe. Congrats to you all, and thanks for the X-cellent work!!!
X men comic is awesome!
Excellent job on on Man - X
grew up watching X-Men the animated series, good times.
The best x men ❤❤❤❤best héroes!!!!
Jean Grey is beautiful
*Happy 60th Anniversary to X-Men!* 🌹
I love X-Men. Comics, movies, cartoons. Favorite team. Thank you, Marvel
When I was a kid and everything was telling me that if I didn’t conform, I was bad… the X-men taught me that that wasn’t true
XMen for life❤

Wolverine: Origin, was and still is one of the best x-men comics i've ever read in life.

Can't wait to see X-Men in the movie.❤️
I commend these men and women they gave me my child hood and my imagination thank you so much still a reader this day and until my end
I don’t think anyone will be wanting to have dinner with Beast right now.
Waiting for them in MCU
Don't be like She-Hulk
@@ramdelure How it will be like She Hulk, lol? X-Men will have completely different writers and directors compared to She Hulk.
@@garvitchauhan6265 She asked KEVIN the same
I hope Marvel don’t shove all the other characters aside.

A DLC or something

They might as well make Lego marvel superheroes 3 if they're going to make another Lego marvel game.
Uncanny X-Men was my first comic book read in the early 80s.
I love this episode
Best franchise ever.
X-Men needs to bring back the excitement.

Claremont is right, the endless crossovers ruined the storytelling aspect of not only x-men but also the other major titles.
