I would enjoy the individual section with more details and then a final flip through. I received my very first Filofax in January for my birthday. It's an original in black. I keep it on the counter so we jot down appts. and such. I have a pocket TN that I'll take along to appts. in case I need to make another appt.
Do a series. It’s so much fun watching you as you go. This was fun to watch.

I vote for both if you are able to and have the time. Any videos from you are wonderful. This is why I love your videos because your set ups are simple. I got tired of watching the videos of others who have PERFECT DAZZLING things that are costly and NOT NECESSARY! 😂 I don’t have any friends or family here who would understand all this. I’m just a little weird to them. But that’s okay! I love being weird. Which is why I love your videos. It’s like having a friend who can relate to my weirdness. 😊

Before I saw your first video about your Filofax find, I actually had picked one up earlier in the week bc by happenstance I was @ HomeGoods (needed new doggie bed) and saw the micro sized Filofax. Though I haven't used a ring bound for like 25 years, it was such a good deal I thought why not pick it up for my collection, lol.
Anyway, after watching your video., I went back to like 4 HomeGoods looking for the A5 and to no avail. I think your videos sold them all out from all the locations! haha
It sounds like you're planning on testing the Filofax as your everything book for the month of June so I'll be keeping a watch to see how you progress since me and a couple of customers are planning on doing a #ONEBOOKJUNE :)

Very nice! I recently bought a Filofax zip planner in the personal size. My A6 inserts fit.
Which ever way is easier for you to do the videos, I’m sure I’ll enjoy them.
The only thing that flip back in fourth with rings is I like to see my old planning\(memories) that’s why I love a blank journal. but I love the idea of rings.
I would like videos as you go along. I have a Kate Spade ring binder similar to yours and I just order yearly inserts. I love it and it helps keep me organized.
I’d prefer several 10 mins as you go, and the last one could be a flip-through.

I would love both options, if possible! I might be a little biased - I'm pretty settled on setting up a ring-bound system sometime soon as an index for my commonplaces, a personal dictionary for language studies, condensed media tracking... there's so many things I'd love to try, so I'd be excited to see your ideas!
And I definitely get speaking the journal language 😆 My friends are great for humouring me when I get chatty about a new notebook or pen.

I like both ring-bound and book-bound planners, but I currently prefer book-bound planners. The color of your Filofax cover is gorgeous.

I have been loving the rings renaissance lately! I’d love both video types tbh, the short updates and a big wrap-up at the end? Then you can cover how you’ve adjusted things over time compared to the initial setup! The purple is just beautiful.
I’m not in rings, but my discbound is pretty similar! I used to be in A5 but for 2024 I’ve been using a B6. I try to log every day and I print a lot of things and have a lot of thoughts, so a system that makes it so I can fill pages upon pages on some days or just a half page on others works best for me. I end up with a brick of a tome at the end of the year, and it is satisfying.
I’ve been debating making a section about wildlife in the area I just moved to last year - I’ve gotten into bird photography and I feel a lot more close to the town because of it! There is something about looking at a bird and being able to name it that makes me feel grounded and present in the moment, so I think a section dedicated to that would be fun. 🕊️
That plate is so pretty. I have a cup of Traditional Medicinal's Raspberry Leaf tea with me just now. I am just getting into journaling because of you (as I stated in another recent video). I was just binging some of your older videos when this one popped up. I'll watch anything you put out. I am interested in the Filofax but was unable to find one was my tjmaxx. We don't have a home goods here. I'll look again in a few days. It has been liberating finally putting down anything I want and not caring about how it looks or comes across. My 17 year old daughter has seen me getting excited and has been feeding off of my energy. She had fun helping to decorate one of the covers of my pocket sized journals, and we went to Walmart together to look at the pen and gear, plus what else there was there...we hadn't been to Walmart in over a year! So that was fun. We both like writing, reading, paper and pens / markers, ect.....Well, I paused at 7 minutes in so I'll have to do another comment if I find anything else to say. Thanks!

You encouraged me to try the moleskine expanded notebook and I’m forever grateful! We have many similarities when it comes to journaling and it doesn’t have to look “pretty.” If you want to share your lineup of what journals, whether bound or ring bound, that you’re using, I would watch your video about it. I don’t love your content because you bedazzle everything, or because all the handwriting is perfect or because you neatly decorate everything a certain aesthetic. I enjoy your content because it’s very similar to how I journal and decorate (when I feel like decorating). Please don’t think that you have nothing valuable to share with us just because it may not look “exciting” in your eyes. Your videos are impactful and special! I rewatch yours all the time for inspiration and have it playing in the background as I journal sometimes ☺️

I noticed if you use Filofax size pages, then FCC pages they are different sizes. Will you mix the sizes in your Filofax?
Yes, I'll probably has a mixture. But my main daily & journal page will be FCC size.

I tried doing exactly what you are doing and for the same reasons, so you can change the order of papers. Every system has its drawbacks though, so I just want to mention a few so you are prepared in advance. If you use it as a planner and intend to make / print your own daily/weekly/monthly sheets it can be time consuming particularly cutting them to size. Replacing and storing old planner pages can become a pain in the butt, particularly if you do daily pages. And as I developed my system I ended up buying more and more planners because my initial ring planner was never big enough to store all the info I wanted to keep - so stick to just info you use on a regular basis. I used to have a page solely for telling me which planner I had to go to for which information! I still love ring planners, but it all became too much for me. I now use mainly notebooks for most things, literally back to basics.
I’d love to watch the individual videos first of each section, then a separate video that shows the whole thing completed and give general overview ☺️ only if that’s something you can do, it would be a lot of filming! I love this video ❤

IDK, it just seemed like we were both geeking hard on that ring binder/planner. LOL. looks like the most popular request for videos in the series is to do both. i’m down for that. 😊

I went to the TJ's and only found the small size Filofax, they are nice but too small for me. I then got an email from Amazon that had a planner like yours, same color too! It was half off, I pulled the trigger and when it was delivered it had 2017 dates in the stationary, maybe that it why it was half off, Eh? Lol! Anyway, I ordered 2024 dates for it and I'm happy now. I think I would like for you to post in stages/series kinda thing, I'll go right along with you, I do see much potential with this little powerhouse. OOOhh! another WIMB? Does happy dance!🥰😍

I have the same exact cover in A5 and it is absolutely beautiful although unfortunately with mine there are cracks where the color is beginning to crack off. Super disappointing.😢
You so nailed it for me, the overwhelm with setting it fully up always tricked me up. I want it to be functional and those videos on RUclips are few and far between.

in personal filofax malden and inserts change with my season. Keep it minimal, but I have all the medical information if I end up with the dad in ER or doctor, or if I need to check or change his caregiver schedules while in work. A5 filofax with daily is for work.

I love that filofax color. I've been obsessed with lilac this year. If your looking for inspiration with personal ring setups I came across a you tube channel called my moxie dreams. She has an amazing budget section in her planner. I'm looking forward to see how else she sets up her planner. I'm looking forward to watching your set up too.

On another note, I remember back in the day, people used the A,B,C, dividers, and it was called a "filing cabinet".
You would place information under the alphabetical heading, rather than in specific sections.
IE, books would be under B, movies under M, and so on.
I love that system and use it instead of the typical 6 sections or so.
Helps me find anything, anytime, anywhere.

My die hard planner is Print Pression denim true a6. But I have projects of other sizes, like b6, weekly, a6 hobonichi dupe, dollar tree planners.
My planner has monthly, weekly, daily to do, my section I keep health, trackers, my reading list and reviews, and I do a "highlight" of the month, and notes that I may use for grocery list or something that happened that I may want to journal in my journal about, then I have a section for each child.
I have a separate journal. That's a spiral daily journal.
