I use 4 planners. I carry two months of each, the current and the next, and add a section for notes & brain dump. I separate mine by purpose, so I have health/finances first, then personal, then work, then journal. I separate these sections with top tabs (the kind you can write on & move) attached to dashboards. It's worked so well I will continue into next year.

Yes, I love using top tabs in my frankenplanner, too! I actually use side tabs to separate into sections (so like health, personal, etc. in yours) then use top tabs in each section to mark where I am each week.

      I love this idea!
For the upcoming year I currently have a dashboard work/home planner and a meal plan planner. I’ve been wanting to add another for home/personal/cleaning and journaling, along with notes and brain dump! Now I know I can!

@@AimtoPlan I’ve heard of adding bottom tabs too! I added some this week and they’ve made it so much easier! Right now my only top tab takes me right to the day I’m in, and bottom tabs take me to the following month, or the next planner. That way I don’t confuse them as much with the month tabs!

@@chelybeann that’s why I stick with happy planner - I can use it however I want. This week I put my week on the dashboard side and use the week side for lists. Idk why but it makes more sense to me this way!

I’m an idiot! 😂 so I’ve been franken-planning all year. And I never realized that I could’ve just TAKEN THE OTHER PLANNER INSTEAD OF SWITCHING ALL 12 MONTHS BACK OVER TO THE ORIGINAL 🤣 this is why RUclips saves lives!!

Great idea I will try this with my two new planners. When I used to Franken plan many years ago. That was before it was a thing. And happy planner and just come out and it was new to the world. I would do each month back to back for the whole 12 months on expander discs. Then I got into traveler notebook planning then personal ring planning. Lastly then the EC planner. Now I’m back to trying the happy planner again.

Good luck!! Frankenplanning is amazing, and it helps reduce the weight when you are carrying your planner around :)

This is great with just 2 planners. I might try it with more.

It can definitely work with more than two!

I'll have to remember this way. I took the cheap way out. I took the budget know your worth extension undated pack. It has a bill tracker, note pages, budget envelopes, goals pages within so many years etc. Then I bought the 18months planner 2022+2023.
So I'm using the 2022 pages and going to re-date the weekly ones for wellness/fitness part for 2023 Why waste those pages?
Then I have like a journaling section I want to put in. So I definitely need either expandable disc or might take last year's disc and make two 6 month planners. Idk what I'm doing yet honestly but got lots of options

I always try to reuse the older pages too. It sounds like you have a great plan for 2023!

If you use only one planner, then this is more than you need. But if you use 2+ planners and want to combine them, this is the simplest version!
