Supposedly the actor who played Snape was tempted to quit before Prisoner of Azakaban due to not feeling any depth or reason to his character. Since the books were not completed yet, he didn't know if there was a plan on what to do with Snape later. He talked with the author and she told him "Snape loved Lilly" & Alan Rickman the actor was like.....OH! Now I get it! Now I understand why I look down on harry yet protect him. He had a back story and could really get into the character.
Just wanted to point out that HP is over 7 years. Each book is one year and the last book is split into 2 so Harry and the gang go from 11 to 18.

Book Ginny and movie Ginny are very different, the chemistry is much more apparent in the books, from what i remember at least.
Exactly why I am excited for the reboot.
I think the problem with the movie Harry and Ginny is that when they started filming the first movie, the books were not finished. From book 4/5 Ginny starts to get interesting, described as pretty, skilled, funny and sassy. The romance in book 6 makes so much more sense. If the director and screenwrighters of the movies had known, I bet they would have wrote a better character arc for Ginny and maybe even made different casting choices. Now they started the movies with a very bland role for Ginny (because you have to cut for movies and they didnt know Ginny would turn out to be so important), so it seemed very unnatural when Ginny "suddenly" was Harry's love interest.
You're not in a lonely island about Harry and Ginny. Not only Ginny's character didn't feel developed enough but this thing between them feel forced. Like they just shoehorned that in these last 2 movies to fit the book. But I felt there was more of a relationship between Harry and Luna. that's just me, a Luna fan.

We're not supposed to think Harry was dead. Draco's mom asked him if Draco was alive. Harry subtly nodded and as a thank you she told Voldemort Harry was dead.
Also, a interesting fact. Both Harry and Dumledore at different points both had all three Hallows. They were both good people who didn’t take advantage of it.

To be fair, delays in filming did cause some aging. It took a full 10 years to film the full series, which takes place over 7 years. So Radcliffe was 21, not 17 when this movie wrapped filming. So they aren't teens in this, but they are close enough.

Also, I found it really endearing what Harry and Ginny named their three kids:

It's really interesting as well when you learn that Neville is a technical part of the prophecy that Snape and Dumbledore were talking about. The prophecy about a baby boy born at the end of July. Harry and Neville were born in the same month and year, but Neville is literally only one day older than Harry.

Well if you must know , they make snape more of a hero in the movies , in the books it’s all dumbledoors plan and snape only helps to keep harry alive to make sure lily didn’t die for nothing , cuz of his obsession with her , not love but obsession , he even feels insulted if dumbledoor says snape might grow to care for harry , he feels so insulted that he says “for HIM ?!? “ and then makes his patronus to show he’s doing it all for lily and lily’s memory , he projects Harry’s father to harry and straight up bullies students FAR more they show in the movies , he doesn’t see harry as a person who needs protection due to the circumstances , it’s all just for lily , he insults , bullies him every chance he gets even if it’s unprovoked
The movies try to hero-wash Snape, but kinda make him worse. What kind of monster hugs a dead woman instead of comforting a crying injured baby and then steals part of a family photo before abandoning said baby?
Why does he bully a boy (Neville) whose parents were tortured by his Death Eater buddies? He's a POS through and through. Alan Rickman is Snape's only redeeming feature.

I don't hate Snape or anything much like Harry at the end he's someone who is still disturbing to me but I can respect somehow and admire too for his courage against Voldemort and his power in a lot of fields.

For what it's worth, the reason that Harry is able to come back in the forest all comes back to the 4th movie/book. When Voldemort took Harry's blood to revive himself, he basically created a "horcrux" for Harry (but a positive one not a negative one). This was confirmed by J.K. Rowling herself.
Dumbledore did care for Harry, contrary to that line where Dumbledore says "don't tell me you've grown to care for the boy?". That statement is supposed to reflect how much Snape has changed rather than a reflection of Dumbledore's character.
Also, Draco's mom lied to Voldemort in the forest. She could immediately tell that Harry was alive, but she asked him if Draco was alive. He nodded, so to repay her thanks she lied to Voldemort.
Edit: and to answer your question about the reboot, no, the reboot is just the retelling of the original Harry Potter story.
I think it's a shame they cut the moment Draco switches side again and throws Harry a wand when he falls from Hagrid's arms. You can find the thing on youtube though.
I feel like the movies doesn't really explain very well how much Snape hated Harry. People seem to understand that he cared for him, like some sort of a tough love, but no, he really didn't. Snape hated Harry through and through, but protected him despite that because he loved Lilly. Oh, and talk about the reboot, it isn't about them kids, it's an actual reboot of Harry's story. But there's a play called The Cursed Child (which is considered by many, me included, not canon) on which the kids play a great role.
They didn’t really explain the bullying of snape well enough to give snapes hate of Harry any weight

Definitely think you are a Hufflepuff with quite a bit of Slytherin in you when it comes to ambition and wanting to win and come out on top. Your Hufflepuff side just values fair play too much for you to be as ruthless as some Slyherins, and you value that so much that you wouldn't choose to be in Slytherin.

The books were better as with most things but these movies are still fun and what got me into it. I just happened to buy the 1st movie when it was on sale at Best Buy the week before the 2nd movie was coming out in theaters and I fell in love. Watched the first movie then had to read the books.

He was not going to kill her. Snape and McGonagall are about neck and neck in power and the author stated that if Snape not had fled she would have killed him.

I don't know whether or not anyone already said it. but Snape's spell didn't kill Dumbledore, because he didn't mean it (which is one of the requirements for the death spell to work) so he died from the impact

Dumbledore did care about Harry, you realize he mainly orchestrated Harry getting the Deathly Hallows he knew Harry himself could return. My issue Dumbledore is he never trusted Harry enough to tell him certain things he needed to know

@stephenbang2749 he knew about the prophecy beforehand but he learned Harry was a horocrux until book 6 and also, Dumbledore didn't choose or mark Harry as Voldermort's equal. What I fo fault him for is not telling Harry the contents of the prophecy sooner and more thoroughly
I hope you now consider watching Team StarKid's musical trilogy that parodies the story. The audio may not be the greatest, but with subtitles they are worth the watch. What they do to the characters through humor and song is something to behold. I hope you consider it as you would be pleasaantly surprised.

You'll definitely enjoy "Monster House" (2006), which was at least partially inspired by the Harry Potter series, as it's also about two boys and a girl who go exploring. A really great live action horror film that few reactors seem to have caught on to yet is "1408" (2007) with John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson. Dumbledore always cared about Harry. He just saw the bigger picture and knew that sacrifices need to be made. Everything he did was to help Harry get ready to face Voldemort. When it seemed he was putting Harry in danger, he was allowing Harry to try so that he could get the skills he needed. Even leaving Harry with the Dudley’s made Harry a better person. Harry saw them and didn’t want to be like them. Every time he appeared to be favouring Harry, he was just trying to reward him for his courage and willingness to fight for others. Just because he knew that Harry would have to sacrifice himself, doesn’t make him a bad person, after all, he sacrificed himself knowing that Harry had the courage to do what needed to be done.
