The reason JK ROWLING chose Hagrid to carry Harry instead of killing hagrid off was meant so be symbolic because he was the one who carried him when he was a baby when his parents died ,and now he was carrying him when he is “dead”

You can see it is killing Harry to see Snape's memories, knowing that every time something happened to save him and he didn't know how, it was almost always Snape. It's killing him that he called the man who was tasked with so much including killing his mentor and friend... a coward.
I like the final fight in the book more solely because Harry tells Voldemort and the 100 people watching the duel that Snape was Dumbledore's spy, from the moment Lily was in danger Severus was loyal to Albus.

In the case of Severus Snape's Patronus (Doe), it was the same as Lily's Patronus. Love has a significan effect on a Patronus' form. So the moment Severus conjured a Patronus in front of Dumbledore, it showed Dumbledore that after all this time, after Lily being dead for so long, Snape still loves her so much which lead him to answer "Always."
Regarding the resurrection stone, Harry dropped it for he see no more use to it. The stone only shows us a somewhat like an apparition of the dead, but not fully bring them back to life. So after the four souls told him that they'd stay close and they're always in his heart, he was ready to face death and see no fit to keep the stone.
Harry didn't fully die because Voldemort only killed the part of himself living in Harry, that's why Dumbledore said that it must be essential that Voldemort should be the one to kill Harry. Much like the other horcruxes after being destroyed, they retained their physical value but Voldemort's soul was gone.

    • @getshwifty3101
      @getshwifty3101 2 года назад +4

Not only was it the same as Lily's.
It IS supposed to represent her. James was Prongs. He could turn into a Stag.
And while that's probably why Lily's was a Doe (as she loved him.) But if James is a Stag, then that would make Lily his Doe.
So, yes it's the same as her's, but it's also supposed to be her.

I actually don't think your last point is true, but it could be that I misunderstood it. From the pov of the movie, it actually does seem like Harry survived because Voldemort only killed his own part within Harry. However, the books are rather different in that aspect. When Harry meets Dumbledore after he "died", the conversation between them reveals that the reason Harry survived was because Voldemort used Harrys blood to "revive" his body. By doing that, he bound Harrys life to his own. Dumbledore said ,,as long as Voldemort lives, you can not die". Also, to make Dumbledore look a bit better, Harry asked him if he knew that Harry wouldn't die, to which Dumbledore answered ,,I had a guess. And between us two, my guesses happen to be right most of the times". Like that's the thing that I like th least about the movies; how they make Dumbledore look like a bad guy, who didn't have any attachment for Harry and actually only raised him like a pig for slaughter, when on the opposite Dumbledore cared greatly for Harry and knew that Harry wouldn't die in the end.

    • @Roland_Deschain677

Also with the resurrection stone, Harry is walking to his death (he believes) and would be literally handing the stone over to Voldy in the process. I always found it strange that in the books he carries the invisibility cloak stuffed inside his clothes when he walks into the forest though.

Well done!

I love re-watching the scene when McGonagall and Snape fight. Knowing what we find out later as an audience, Alan Rickman played that scene so beautifully. You can see him falter and the struggle of not wanting to attack her is written all over his face before he switches. He doesn't attack at all, only deflects, making sure the other two death eaters are knocked out. Snape is a problematic character but Alan Rickman did such an incredible job at portraying him - RIP absolute legend.

If they had shown the wand, it would have been confirmed that they were impostors
And about how he survived the killing curse, this is what Dumbledore said in the books,
‘He took your blood believing it would strengthen him. He took into his body a tiny part of the enchantment your mother laid upon you when she died for you. His body keeps her sacrifice alive, and while that enchantment survives, so do you and so does Voldemort’s one last hope for himself.’

About Fred’s death: in the books it’s a lot more detailed and genuinely heartbreaking since they do appear more I believe then in the movies, but he was fighting death eaters along side Percy. Percy made a joke about resigning from the ministry whilst killing the dead of magical law enforcement. Fred was shocked and started laughing, saying “You actually are joking, Perce.... I don't think I've heard you joke since you were-“. An explosion went off and when Harry looked back up, Percy was shaking Fred trying onto get him to wake back up while Ron was kneeling beside him. It's so sad when after you watch this movie and you go back and rewatch the others, you can see how much Snape truly cared for Harry. Like in the third movie, he threw himself in front of Harry to shield him from a werewolf. He may have hated James, but he loved Lily, and Harry was the only thing left of her in this world.

They don’t show this in the movies but Remus and Tonks’s son was born about 2 weeks before the battle. They named him Edward Remus Lupin (aka Teddy) after Tonks’s father who died while she was pregnant, and they made Harry godfather. In the book version of the 19 years later epilogue they mention that Teddy is over at Harry and Ginny’s house so often he should just move in, and we know from Pottermore that he was raised by Tonks’s mother Andromeda (but his godfather Harry helped out a lot). The book epilogue also mentions that he’s dating Victoire Weasley, Bill and Fleur’s daughter (so pretty much everyone is related to the Weasleys lol).

When people have a strong partonus charm it takes a shape that relates to the memory - James ( Harry's dad) was a stag when he became an animagus, so since Harry's happy thought/memory is about his dad, the partonus takes that shape. Since Lily was James' wife, it's fitting that the partonus that represents Snape's happy thought/memory takes the form of a doe to to show that it was about Lily. Hermione's partonus was an otter (probably connected to the "weasel"eys) and Luna's was a rabbit/hare (probably related to hares being a symbol of witches and the rabbit being related to the moon)

So first of all, i loved all your reactions so thank you for it. There are a few things i want to point out for you so you can fully understand. First of all, McGonagall became headmaster. Second of all, the rat already died in deathly hallows part 1 but its not in te movies. Then i would like to explain how harry was able to survive the killing curse. There are a few theories. The elder want belonged to harry so maybe it didnt want to kill its own master. Then harry had the ressurection stone but he dropped it so i dont think thats the reason. The reason i think harry survived and whats also the explenation from the book is that in the goblet of fire voldemort used harrys blood the come back to live. In this way voldemort had harrys blood in him and with that lilies protection lived forward. Harry was connected to voldemort as a horcrux and voldemort to harry with his blood. When voldemort killed harry he killed the piece of his soul. However, harry was able to come back because his blood and protection was still in voldemort.
I would also recommend you to not see the cursed child as part of the story because I think its not part of the series as its not completely written by JK rowling and it disregards the rules set in the other harry potter stories. I think the story in the cursed child is quite stupid and is completely off with the rest of the series. You could go see it just for entertaimant ofcouse. Again thank you for the great videos!

So maybe you dont know but you deserve to know how the people die because its not clear in the movies
Tonks died facing her aunt Bellatrix, as you know Bellatrix is of course the stronger fighters and this time she really killed her niece.
Remus died fighting Antonin Dolohov, the death eather who attacked the trio in the last movie in the restaurant. Lupin was no longer in prime fighting condition because he had a son, he only used defensive spells mostly and when facing Dolohov he already came from a fight.
Fred died near the room of requirement,
Last moments before his death. I think the trio was also present in this one i forgot. His brother Percy told a joke about resigning from the ministry. Fred told Percy he didn’t hear Percy joke since, then a wall blasted apart. In this case, Harry dropped it on the ground, hoping that no one would find it and use it, that it would get trampled into the ground by Centaurs. It was Harry’s motherly love that prevented Harry from dying. However, you might ask “Why didn’t the curse rebound to Voldemort then?”. On a funnier note - the twins ditched school to try out for the roles of Fred and George! When they got the parts their friends didn't initially believe them, til they came to school with dyed ginger hair, and they realized they were serious 😂

The reason Snapes patronus was a doe is because Lily’s patronus was a doe. Lily’s patronus was a doe because James’ was a stag. The patronus can change based on a strong emotional change. Tonk’s patronus turned into a wolf when she fell in love with Lupin. Snapes patronus never changed because he never changed. He always loved Lily. Since he was ten years old, he loved Lily. They were best friends up until the point when he called her a mudblood. Lily stopped James from hurting Snape and Snape turned around and said “I don’t need help from filthy little mudbloods like her”

@@thedingo23 no actually when Harry and Ron are down in the dungeon in the Malfoy Manor, Wormtail shows up to escort harry and Ron so that they can hand them over to Voldemort. In the dungeon, Harry reminds him of how he spared his life in prisoner of Azkaban and how much wormtail owed him even that he was the reason his parents were dead. So wormtail in that scene lets harry and ron out of the dungeon(in the movies, he gets knocked out by dobby) and when he does that, his own silver hand chokes him to death. Voldemort at some point knew his servant was going to betray him so he put such spells on that hand that when it sensed disloyalty in wormtail, it would choke him straight to death. The final battle was better in the book, IMO. So many explanations are on there. After Harry sacrificed himself, his death protected everybody so Voldemort's curses were not binding just like Lily's protection. The final battle between Harry and Voldemort was at the Great Hall in front of everybody. And.. I think Potterheads agree that the Curse Child is not part of the HP universe.
