Loved the video man, keep it up!
Did you move the throttle stop on the carb to get wide open throttle? Did you zip tie the governor arm to keep it from holding back the throttle?? If you still have the governor still intact then it will never go faster than the stick motor
I unscrewed the throttle stop I’m pretty sure and I zip tied the governors spring. I was also looking at power over speed. I ended up getting torque converter.
You went through all that work. Got a clutch for it and had a much more reliable engine then stock just to return it..
Yeah it’s a regret but I learned from it. Engine had some stock issues I never said in vid.
for those fine thread bolts, what length were they?
Look into Chinese k.o mikunis and new open exhaust for stage one. Even maybe a torque converter ! Way more fun
why? I do not understand why everyone puts so many differant parts on
@@AsTheWheelsTurn to go faster
Did you drill new holes for the motor?
You're better off going with a tillotson 212 which has 10 horsepower out of the box. And for a better upgrade, go with a torque converter.
Not sure why you would recommend the Predator 212. All other engines out there including the 224 are better choices. All can have the 196 parts to run the headlight including the flywheel. The 196 flywheel does not have the correct fit on the Predator 212's. The ONLY good thing about the Predator 212's is the initial cost.
The Wildcat 223 is much better quality and has more power than a Predator 212 for $180. And that's only one example.
What size clutch did you have to buy
He got a 3/4
What bolts ended up working for the side plate
2 of them were the ones that I mentioned I’m pretty sure and the other two were different so I just tapped it with the screw which isn’t the best idea but it worked. Not sure if the hardware store had some bolts in the wrong spots or if it was just the side case
Your parents must have told you that you wasted your money. 😆
Yup lol
@@GrahamsGarage123 i can hear them now. Lol you had a perfectly good engine already in there and spent all this money and its only a little faster.....
As if this hasn’t been done before.
Haha
