I hope this is one of those games where the plot becomes increasingly more and more escalated and ridiculous until you're fighting fashion demons in outer space as you try to keep a denim meteorite from flattening the president or something

This game is so silly and utterly over the top that I put it on wishlist immediately. I mean the main character's most effective attack is literally slapping the fashion into people, that is the most hilarious gimmick I've seen in a FPS in years.
I liked the Jojo reference in the intro movie.

I couldn't care less about fashion, but gods it's *so* refreshing to see an FPS that doesn't take itself seriously while *also* not still focusing on (ultra)violence even as someone who often likes dark comedy. That the humor, mechanics, and music all seem to be done well is just fashionable icing on the well-dressed cake.
so its the opposite of doom (even though no doom game, even 2016 and eternal takes itself seriously)

I agree the _Doom_ franchise doesn't take itself that seriously, however, and ironically it's one of the few FPS series I actually like since the ultraviolence is at least directed towards unsympathetic demons actively trying to kill you rather than humans who maybe reasoned with. I unfortunately haven't been able to play either of the two recent _Doom_ games, but I was happy to hear they were so well-received and well-made despite my overall dislike of FPSes. This especially since I'm old enough to remember the Christian Right trying to paint at least the original games as Satanic even though you literally massacre nothing but demons.
If anything, then my initial comment was more directed towards games like _Call of Duty_ and the literally hundreds of bland, copycat games that it spawned that glorified real guns and often (real) war(s). I don't really have a problem with people enjoying FPS or even real guns responsibly, but I just think games like that are part of why *way* too many people in America have such a borderline sexual powertrip about guns and/or treat them merely like "cool" toys. That's an entirely different discussion though.

The moment it introduced the ability to swing around on a belt from poles, it went from “this is pretty fun” to “I need this in my life immediately.”
What I love about the indie revolution and the revival of the throwback shooter is we're getting really cool "out there" ideas like this again. There was such an idea rut in the late aughties early 10s and this is a breath of fresh air. I also really like how the "weapons" are tailored to specific enemy's issues and only work for them, it's an interesting way to vary up the fps arsenal.

I just hope that color gun gets upgrade or something. Figure that two shot thing is going to be issue if enemy roster for the gun gets tougher. Otherwise, loving the arsenal
The thing is, when these games were originally being produced, they were either with the age's technology or pushing it. Here, instead of pushing the envelope, they're reverting back to old graphic styles because it's easier to produce. I think this is arguably the wrong move and will just lead to more stagnation and copycats in games. I really don't think the few interesting ideas the game has is enough to justify going back 20 years in technology.
A drip based Doom. This may actually be a great game by the looks of it.

@@JaesadaSrisuk When fighting that particular kind of fashion crime, Grandma knew best what to suggest. I almost want to see a little old 93 year old lady as the game's merchant, but that's just me throwing out an idea.
It’s the first 50 seconds and they already made a jojo reference. This is the best game of all time right here.
It's cool to see this game have both a lot of charm and some interesting mechanics to it. As much as I'm glad that retro style FPS games are popular among indie devs, there's just a lot of them that feel kinda generic. This looks a lot of fun both in how it plays and just the general vibe. Definitely really looking forward to laying the Drip on some fools!
The enemy intros is straight out of Megaman, and the music is very reminiscent of megaman.
Also, the enemy CEO is Hugo Bauss? Oh good lord haha. For those who don't know, Fashion Designer Hugo Boss designed all the uniforms for the Nazis.
This is an incredibly cute game, but it is also a clever game. There have been lots of little references to find.

@@t850terminator Well if you take a look at the SS Officer uniform, you could tell they were well designed, well as other uniforms made from Hugo Boss, like the SS honor guard that had coats unlike your typical SS soldier. There were other uniforms in white, green, and even in brown. So yeah they do have different styles.

This game speaks to me on an astral level, especially when he uses a Singer sewing machine as a carbine and uses mocktails as health pickups.
My fashion design snobbery and fps addiction have finally culminated into one singular object, not to mention the music and the Banjo-Kazooie dialogue noises.

The nicest clothes in the world aren’t going to make you attractive if you haven’t showered in days or put on deodorant, and a lot of “designer” brands are just overpriced bullshit anyway. “Fashion” is for the birds.

I like how energetic and high production value this is. You can tell a lot of love went into it. My only concern is that needing to defeat every enemy in one very specific way could get tedious before long.

Overall a deceptively good and well-made game. I like how you have to use specific weapons to harm enemies, and can even drain colour from them to restock your ammunition. It also helps that this game doesn't take itself seriously at all, probably the best approach for a title where you play as the literal fashion police.
Some criticism I'd give is that there's no reloading animations, something which could further show off the quirkiness of these weird fashion-powered guns. And also that the city tileset is kind of boring to look at after a while, gotta get some more variations of it.

This game looks super charming and fun, but I was getting annoyed just watching (it's likely more annoying actually playing it) all the interruptions to the game play with all the dialogue, which is extra silly when you're playing a classic style fast FPS game. That said, the dialogue is really well written (in my opinion) and the story gives off really nice kid-cartoon vibes, sort of reminds me of a cooler version of that Noah's ark FPS game from way back. It also unfortunately hasn't shown any diversity in it's level design yet, but I suppose it's still early days, but It would have been nice to see a screen shot of something else.
I hope there'll be a "skip cutscenes" flag or something.

I’m not the target audience for this game, but the personality and charm it has had me put it on my wishlist. It’s a silly modernization of that low poly art style that the FPS had in the 90s.
I just have mad respect for people who have a goal and idea and stick to it. Plus the gameplay seems rather solid

This was genuinely fun to watch and im sure it will be fun to play as well, i really love the scroe screen being a fashion parade with all the mobs or the boss mechanics fitting with an actual comapny boss. I freking love it!
