As a jump rope athlete, my gym bag will be consist of item for no gym membership outdoor workout. 3 different styles of jump rope ( heavy rope, speed rope, & beaded rope), thermabands for warming up, some kind of wipes to clean my hands from doing pushups or burpees, a towel, an extra shirt, & an portable interval timer (it helps to keep me off my phone. Other than that, I carry a portable to exercise to protect my ropes from damaging & my joints from jumping on concrete.
I know u have a diverse audience so here we go. my duffel has x-training shoes (Xero 360, Nike Metcon 4 XD or Reebok Speed Flexweave), mtn bike shoes, shorts, t-shirts or cycling jersey, cycling shorts or triathlon suit, Wahoo heart rate monitor, strength training gloves, cycling gloves, headphones, wife’s Beats Studio headphones, 3 bottles of Gatorade Zero with half teaspoons of salt for extra electrolytes and deodorant . also extra underwear and socks. i’m in my 50’s so evaluating injury risk and recovery cost is the most important thing. I was given a Puma Duffel as a xmas gift. it has separated compartment for shoes. i generally like North Face, REI and Eddie Bauer duffels.
Good stuff my dude. I have messed up shins from martial arts and years of deadlifting and I legit bleed everywhere sometimes. Gonna have to pick me up some of those pad things Also, the gym bag market is an untapped one sorta haha. I could talk your ear off about gym bags
Definitely chalk, especially liquid I like, belt I'm not using cause weights are not too hea y at the moment, wrist straps(grip is not too strong still) -I'm 55 kg 36-year old woman😅
What? No sour patch kids?! No air heads?! Not even a box of poptarts?! You certainly are not ready for another powerlifting meet! Lol. I do 2 sets of knee sleeves too, one very stiff for heavy squats and one set of thinner sleeves that i like just to keep the knee joint warm.
hi Jake, i really appreciate your work, your videos are helpful. and just a quick question: which shoes would you recommend for me to wear in the gym (gonna use the same shoes for squats and deadlifts)? metcon 9, nano x3, dropset 2, or anything else? thanks in advance :) (sorry for my english)
As of right now, I'd go with the Dropset Trainer 2, Nano X3, then Metcon 9 last for those asks! Dropset 2 feels best for heavier barbell work. And thank you!
A bit off-topic, but what's a good cross-training shoe? I do boot camp combined with strength training! I know you've mentioned Nike Free Metcon 5, would those be good or do you have any other recs? Thanks :)
Oh, I have so much content on this! Nike Free Metcon 5 could be awesome. You could also explore models like the Nano X3, UA TriBase Reign 5, and On Cloud X3 (if you want a model with a bit more runnability!). Those are just 3 solid picks out of the many many on the market.

Love it! Thank you for sharing, dude! Super cool to learn about this context.
Didn't expect to hear the shoulder issues from cheerleading but I can imagine you put your body into some questions positions during cheerleading.
Yeah, man, the constant impact took a beating. Probably had lingering stuff from hockey, too, so it just compounded over time!

I may buy some new bags soon NGL! As I go more nomad I’ve been way more conscious about spacing and the bags I’m using!
@@thatfitfriend haha nice. If you’ve got questions I’m all ears. I’ve bought like every gym bag for testing on my own and I don’t even make videos 😂
@@kozmo7 Sounds good!
Which bags should I look into first? I'm thinking about buying 1-2 new bags

Haha, my powerlifting era is long gone, my friend! 2 sets of knee sleeves is 👌👌
TF^2 is really funny and clever!
Thank you!

That slam onto the table was full of hate. Time to grind!
Ooh, can we get that glute warmup with the band, please?
LMAO. 24/7 alpha mindset grindset

Hey man, Adidas dropset 2's or Nano x3's for a "regular" lifter in the gym, squats, lunges, etc?
Heyo! I'd go with the Adidas Dropset Trainer 2! Both shoes are really solid, though.
Appreciate the answer, thank you!@@thatfitfriend
