This is a great video. I can honestly say that I've never had a pair of weightlifting shoes on my feet. Never felt the need. Thanks again for the content and context.

Yeah, they're the type of shoe that can be great, but there's no immediate need for everyone to go out and buy a pair! Thank you, friend!

Just found your channel and saw a couple of shoe reviews. Well spoken and detailed. Just bought the archetype 2.0 for 50 dollars. Just subscribed 👍

hi jake, i just want to get your opinion on weightlifting shoes. so i purchased size 8.5 us in legacy lifters 2. i measured my feet today. left foot is 260cm and right is 255cm. would you recommend size 8 instead on lifters 3 or the lu's for squatting and later on weight lifting? please let me know. thanks heaps!

How much room do you have in them? Are you having heel slip or do they feel too big? If not, then 8.5 is prob fine in the 3 and Lus!
If they feel too spacious or like you're sliding around, then go 8. Lu is the better model, imo

I know that this is a little off topic for the video, but I am interested in getting into barefoot shoes. I work in a collegiate weight room every day out of the week and want a pair that I can work out in as well as wearing throughout the day. What shoe would you recommend me? I saw the Radix from Notorious Lift, but wanted your input!

Notorious Lift can work. If you want something a little more formal, I'd also look into the Tolos Arch 2 and Be Lenka Velocity models!

Hey great video! I am a soccer player, i have been squating but not consitantly.
Do beginners need a shoe like a metcon and other similiar shoes ?

If you want a single shoe for a bit of everything, cop a good cross-training shoe. It will get the job done and give you more range in the gym for your style of training.

I don’t do weightlifting myself, but I’ve seen a lot of those guys lifting weights in crazy thick squishy slippers.😂

😂😂 you can lift in anything technically just doesn’t mean you’re doing so efficiently
