    Ah! I thought that was Sea Change. I’ve made that a dozen times for my daughter and myself. Short, long. All the straps. Even made a shorty short one with ridiculous Christmas fabric last year, lol. It’s my favourite of all my jumpsuit patterns. It’s so comfy.
    Love your two. The pink one especially, such pretty fabric. 😊

    I think the length on the long one is spot on! I love them both - with and without the belt. I always loved overalls but they don’t love me. I think this might be an option! Thank you so much for your expertise, tips, and insight. You rock everything you make!

    I'm so glad I watched your video! I too have never, ever liked the fit of jumpsuits I have tried. You convinced me this one is a winner and I bought the pattern this morning. Thank you for the discount code! I am going on a 16 day cruise in December and I know I must, must make one, if not two, of this jumpsuit for my trip.

    Karina, only you can take pattern styles to which I’d never give a second glance and show me that I want to give them a try. Both of your versions of this jumpsuit are really lovely! Thank you. I’ll be watching the full sew-along on Patreon before sewing up the pattern. I’m a woven gal myself, especially during summer. 😘

    You look amazing in your new jumpsuit (#2)! The drape is perfectly swishy and provides a very elegant look as you wear it.
    The serger stitch needs to be adjusted. You have loops forming on the back side (bottom) that shouldn't be there. If you thread each spool with a different color, you'll be able to easily see what needs to be adjusted (needle, UL or LL).

    Love them both - you've inspired me to try making a jumpsuit. I think the long one is a great length, but if you want it longer maybe add a separate cuff? Keep up the great videos!

    With the length of the longer jumpsuit: would you be able to take out the hems and do faced hems, much like you would finish a hem with hemming tape or bias tape? Do you have enough hem to do that?

    I’ve noticed an error in the video that you may not be aware of. I have noticed that the speed of your voice changes and speeds up. This video has this happen at the 1:45 minute spot and again at 7:16. This switch has occurred with other videos of yours. I don’t know why this happens but I thought you would want to know this.

  • @lidabard2121
    @lidabard2121 7 месяцев назад

    I love the long one! It is very flattering on you. I don't think it is short in length. The palazzo wide legs tend to dip lower when you lean forward or go up steps. You could also elasticate the waist.
    My issue with jumpsuits is using public restrooms. The pant legs hit the floor. It can be a battle holding them up!

    I’ve got shoulder issues. I will need to hack it for a front opening.

  • @helenwood3199
    @helenwood3199 7 месяцев назад +1

    Could one hack the pattern so the button & loop opening is not as long (revealing )and is in center front for ladies who can't reach two arms behind to their center back? I suppose it depends on how much room you need to pull the neck past your hips.

    • @jenniferk7525
      @jenniferk7525 7 месяцев назад

      I think you could add a strip of fabric which will sit behind the opening so your front is not exposed. I would call it a button shield (because I cannot think of the correct term) and you quite frequently see it on tops and dresses that have button and loop closures.

  • @Queenread82
    @Queenread82 7 месяцев назад

    I know hem length is also personal but I think the hem length is just right. You don’t want to trip on it. Do you have enough fabric to take out the hem and add a hem facing?

    I am a total fan of the jumpsuit with no belt 31:10. I'm a maxi dress lover so the no belt jumpsuit reminds me of that. The length of your jumpsuit looks fine to me. Just curious, how much is the hem allowance for the jumpsuit? I thought pants always had a huge hem allowance for length adjustments.
