I watched this video shortly before my visit to japan. My hotel happened to be right next to an Ichiran location and I decided to try it for an early dinner. I went back the next day for breakfast, lunch, AND dinner. That's how good this place is.
Why does the U.S not have single booths where you can quickly and easily get food without having to talk to a single person, not even the waiter? We need that here!

Thank you for the amazing video! I used to work for Ichiran in Tokyo 12 years ago and I still love Ichiran. Next time you eat Ichiran ramen, I’d recommend you to keep some soup and pour it into the bowl of rice to make ramen soup risotto.
Do you have suggestion for other ramen? I want to try different places than Ichiran. I hear Uezu, Sumire, Nakiryu, Santouka, and Tsuta. If you can suggest me some I will be soo happy 🤗
I think in Ichiran’s case it has more to do with focusing on the flavour of the ramen. Because you aren’t getting a lot of visual input other than the bowl in front of you, your other senses are enhanced.

I have to completely agree with you that is the best bowl of ramen I have ever had, any time I saw Ichiran no matter where I was in Japan my friend and I went in with no hesitation. It’s really good. I like chicken ramen 🍜. Make sure when you try it you get the boiled egg with it. It’s fantastic, especially the broth which is great in the winter. Best of luck and give us an update when you do try it!!

We have a Ramen restaurant that recently opened here in Moncton, New Brunswick. I am going to go this weekend and check it out. We also have a second hibachi restaurant that does hibachi, Mexican and Chinese, called Ole. Chris and I are going next week. So glad you experienced Ramen heaven. I went to ichiran on my last day. It was very good but i dont think it was the best Ive had in Japan and I'll explain why. When i checked off the boxes to customize I pretty much went medium on richness and garlic etc... So while it wasn't bland it certainly wasnt as rich as i liked it. So the fact that you can customize your ramen is what ruined the experience because I dont usually have the option to choose how my ramen is actually prepared besides the kind. Usually you order and thats it. So for me the customization was a pro and a con because I played it safe with the flavors but when I go back to Japan I'll give it another try and try something different with my order.
Cloudy Skies I wouldn't spend a plane ticket to Japan just for this ramen. We went to Japan last spring and tried ichiran just to see what the hype was about. The broth was *extremely porky*. We all thought it might as well have been pig jacuzzi water. We couldn't finish half of it. If you're a big fan of porky flavor you might love it I suppose. I'm actually a big fan of Japanese food even any other tonkotsu ramen but basically this is the only thing I haven't liked. Go to Japan for other amazing ramen places though. All of the places recommended by TabiEats on RUclips we're mind blowing and we would go every 2-3 days to those! Cheers :)

Got to try Ichiran when I visited Tokyo earlier this year! Some of the best ramen I've ever had. Though I don't think the atmosphere was working as intended because EVERYONE was talking to each other over/around/turn around in the booths. It was much more social than I thought it would be.

I had Ichiran one time in Tokyo as a recommendation from a friend while I was studying abroad, me and my friends that went there considered it the absolute best ramen experience we've ever had. This was about 3 years ago.

There's only one person I know who loves ramen as much as Mike does...he did a stopover in Tokyo just to be able to eat in this restaurant for 3 meals! But even he doesn't tear up over a bowlful of noodly goodness like you do!

Absolutely one of the best ramen experiences in Japan! You didn't show the sign on each booth instructing you to "Focus on Taste!" We fell in love with this place and haven't had ramen this good since.

ive literally been in that exact same place in winter 2019. it was AMAZING, and one of the best ramens i've ever had. and that's speaking from a ramen fanatic.

Ate in Ichiran Ramen in Kyoto and I am HUGE noodle lover. Best ramen I ever had, had to buy second bowl. Spend way too much but ZERO regrets!
Got to try Ichiran when I visited Tokyo earlier this year! Some of the best ramen I've ever had. Though I don't think the atmosphere was working as intended because EVERYONE was talking to each other over/around/turn around in the booths. It was much more social than I thought it would be.

I think Ichiraku Ramen is better. Especially if you're done with your missions, helps in replenishing those lost chakras from your body

I went to this place when I visited Japan two years ago. Seriously thank you so much for this video. Some of my favorite meals were from this ramen place, though I had it in Kyoto.
I had Ichiran one time in Tokyo as a recommendation from a friend while I was studying abroad, me and my friends that went there considered it the absolute best ramen experience we've ever had. This was about 3 years ago.
This ramen is the best ramen i have ever tried ever ever ever in my life. Everything i ordered rich and ultra rich. I dont really like spicy. So i order level 5. And it’s perfect!

There's only one person I know who loves ramen as much as Mike does...he did a stopover in Tokyo just to be able to eat in this restaurant for 3 meals! But even he doesn't tear up over a bowlful of noodly goodness like you do!

Absolutely one of the best ramen experiences in Japan! You didn't show the sign on each booth instructing you to "Focus on Taste!" We fell in love with this place and haven't had ramen this good since.
