  • In this video I'm going to show you a super simple trick to increase realism of your Floor Generator materials. It's useful for laminate floors but you can customize it for your needs.

    Thank you, cool tip! I think in the beginning you took a little long to get your across (that the wood in laminate is only planar), you could've shortened that, but all around, really well explained and easy to understand. Just subscribed.

    or simply copy and convert your floor object to a poly, select the edges you need for AO faking, detach, shell it just a bit and set atop your floor. for a room that's still faster than figuring out uvws, making composites and shit. thx for the vid tho. -Edit: I just figured that when you convert your floorgen object into poly and select faces it automatically selects everything you don't need LOL so it's waaay faster, + more control. +more polygons in the scene but who cares about ram anyway. just shove 64gb in there and no worries

    Vray has VrayDirt map which does the same job, nice tutorial btw!

      Basically it's just a single wood texture plugged into CoronaUVWRandomizer and Corona MultiMap, in that order.
