- Hey guys, welcome to my "vintage weekend" at the antiques market of Gradisca d'Isonzo (Gorizia) with my husband Fabiano and my friends Mary and Lele.
We will visit the huge flea market in the centre of Gradisca (Italy).
Then I will show you my vintage haul, with my new vintage bags, leather jackets, vintage brooches, tin boxes, and silk scarves.
Finally we will have lunch together and take a walk during sunset at Sistiana.

@@VintageWeekendsItalyThose markets we've been to are not like the vintage markets to visit. Maybe, the one in Ascona is a better one compared to Luino and Ponte Tressa. Yes, I was visiting. I'm from Canada.

Tomorrow I will try on the dress and maybe style an outfit, but I've seen that it is made of a kind of wool fabric and so I think I will use it for an outfit for next fall.
Now the temperature is rising and I've got a bag of spring clothes that I thrifted during winter, I've got to open it because I forgot what's inside! 🤣
Lucky you for the amazing thrifting here in the USA l don't have the places like Italy maybe some day l will go shopping with you guys lots hugs and stay safe

Se hai visto il mio video di Parigi, sicuramente già sai qualcosa dei mercatini di Saint Ouen (più che un mercato si tratta proprio di un quartiere gigantesco di negozi che sono aperti solo alcuni giorni della settimana) e di Porte des Vanves (mercatino grande con tantissimi espositori, sabato, domenica e lunedì).
Ci sono però tanti altri mercatini più piccoli, anche in centro a Parigi, che sono magari in delle piazze carine.
Poi ci sono anche negozi, come le friperies e i kilo shop!
Io ero stata nel quartiere 'marais' e ce ne erano parecchie.
A Parigi c'è l'imbarazzo della scelta! 😉😉😉

I am very glad that Henkel & Grosse has replenished your collection) They made beautiful jewelry. Yes, I really love vintage costume jewelry and I love wearing them. And I really like to find them at flea markets or on Vinted. But lately I've been in awe of Lea Stein brooches.

My favorites are the Benetton suede coat and the Pierre Cartier silk scarf. Is Pierre Cartier the same as Must the Cartier brand ?
Hello FrenchStyle, I made some research, but no, as far as I know, Pierre Cartier is a different brand.
This scarf by Pierre Cartier has a good quality, but in my experience "must de Cartier" scarves have a better quality, and they are also more valuable.
By the way, I tried to clean up the stains, now they are lighter than before, but unfortunately they are still there. 😭
And I'm wearing the suede Benetton trench almost every day, it is perfect for this month and matches well with everything! 😁
@@VintageWeekendsItaly So glad you love your Benetton trench! 😁I had a very similar one years ago and now, I regret that I did not keep it. It was gorgeous and great quality. How did you wash your silk scarf ? I received my small Ferragamo silk scarf with the Elephant on it and it had a small stain which disappeared when I cleaned it. I use warm water and hair shampoo. It worked for me. Hope you can have the stains go away. Sometimes, it's because the previous owner had it dry cleaned instead of cleaning it with water and that makes the stains stick even more. Thank you for the information about Pierre Cartier. I did not know that brand.
Hi. Mantero scarf is beautiful. What is the best way of cleaning spots or discoloration on silk ?
Hello Ognyashka, it depends on the type of stain.
If it is light makeup, or, blush, or sweat, or dust, I generally clean silk scarves by hand with cold water, and with a little bit of soap.
If the stain is coffee or wine or others, unfortunately it is quite impossible to clean up. 😭😭😭
Then you should avoid wringing it, and you should dry it plain, because if you fold it the color will transfer everywhere and you will damage the scarf.
I'm still trying other methods (with unsigned scarves!) and I will let you know if I find other solutions!

@@VintageWeekendsItaly thank you for the advise. I got inspired by Ferragamo scarfs framed like a painting. Bought one on eBay to frame and display on the wall, it has slight damage, but I am afraid to wash it.
@@ognyashka Don't be afraid! I wash all my scarves with warm water and hair shampoo and most of the time, if the stain is not too old, it disappears. I even wash my Hermès scarves. To avoid the colors to fade, you may leave your scarf in cold water with salt for about an hour. Then, wash it like I do and the colors will not fade. I also add a little vinegar when I rinse in warm water and the smell does not stay, don't worry.
